There's a mod for that and you can grow apples, tomatoes, elves ears, frost miriam, and moon sugar. I love having my own apple trees and you can get rich from moon sugar.
Also I should add, it’s actually confirmed that the Nerevarine is a Dunmer male in cannon lore, which I think is kinda lame that they didn’t leave it ambiguous although it makes sense
@@everythingispain8433 I mean it's also Canon based on Sheogorath's appearance in Skyrim that the Hero of Kvatch was a male Imperial. At least the other elder scrolls heroes are ambiguous. The identities of the Vestige, the Forgotten Hero, the Eternal Champion, and the Agent are all left to the imagination. Given... None of them are ever mentioned outside of their respective games either, so... yeah.
Dr0neshuffler I think the hero of Kvatch can be left ambiguous simply because a Daedra can take any form he chooses, and he chose to look the same as he always has, even after the hero of Kvatch became him, but yeah I definitely like it better when they leave it vague and have no mention or slight mention in the next game. It’s weird to me that they go through all of the effort of allowing players to create their own characters, some even create their character’s backstory and personality as well, just to be like “oh the Dragonborn, that big husky Nordic dude? He became emperor and everyone loved him the end” like nooo the Dragonborn I created would be a bad emperor that wouldn’t work at all for them lol
@@everythingispain8433 Actually, at least from what I understand, his longer hair and lack of facial hair in comparison to his look from Oblivion was more than an art style change. I remember reading somewhere that Sheogorath's look in Skyrim was changed drastically, removing his goatee and lengthening his hair, to emphasize that he is a different being from the Sheogorath in Oblivion. Given, I can't remember where I read that, and I don't remember it explicitly stating that it directly correlated to the canon looks that the Hero of Kvatch had prior to becoming the Mad God. So that may just be my own headcanon. lol.
You've made 51 videos of tiny details, and the details aren't even boring. I can tell you put effort into your videos, and I just wanted to say I appreciate it. :))))
When you return to Riverwood after "The Horn of Jurgen Windcaller" you can ask for a normal room from Delphine still. However, if you immediately ask for the Attic Room after, Delphine will have a unique bit of dialogue acknowledging the change. Small bit, but worth the mention.
"People assumed we'd stop at 50, that's not true. I hoped we could do these forever". That made me so happy. The ten tiny details or just your skyrim videos in general bring me so much joy as skyrim was a great comfort to me in a very tough time in my life. And I hate video game youtubers as the majority of them SCREAM FOR NO APPARENT REASON WHATSOEVER, but any time you and graenolf upload it's going to be a day for me 💙 Thank you, nate.
He is also my favorite gaming RU-vidr. He never cusses, his videos are always interesting, and is almost never inappropriate. Most RU-vidrs ignore Skyrim, but Nate obviously doesn't. I love your channel.
@@cameronzemail inappropriate and cussing? What are you, 5 years old? If you're worried about those things go use RU-vid kids it's made for people like that.
I was killed over and over by a Draugr Deathlord last night, before I remembered I had the Wabbajack... that Deathlord became a pile of gold coins. LOL
@@blakejuttner5741 yeah it's funny how it can make tough encounters instantly trivialized by turning your enemy into a mudcrab or a easy encounter a bit harder by healing your enemy
Hey, I got one for you! Okay so if you stand in front of a Giant as it slams its club down on you...it’ll send you right to the Cloud District. Someone should tell Nazeem
@@rachelclaw or he plays fottage of another game, like Fallout or heck even Battlefield or FIFA, and states eastereggs and details from yet another game, while still remaining in Skyrim mode. For example *fottage of Bioshock is playing* "Hello Nate here and in case you don't know, Sonic R is a gigantoesc game... is that even a word? I don't know but I say yes. Anyways did you know that if Kirby eats Pikachu in Marvel vs Capcom and spits it out, the burb sounds like a "Fus Roh Da"?"
Eventually you will have just explained everything in skyrim, then look back in pride of having more knowledge of Bethesda's game than Bethesda as they screw up all the lore to have dragons and shouts in TES VI: Skyrim 2
The first tiny detail I ever noticed, I noticed in my first game, and I've never gotten over the awe: Moving fingers when they play the lute. That is such a small detail, but my immersion boosted to 1000%. I've never noticed another game I've played with that level of realism.
Happened to me the first two playthroughs, then I noticed that I was so under stress to stay alive that I just accepted any dialog and quickly clicked on any answer without reading the text.
@@andrewolson5471 I always go with ralof, imperial armour sells for way more than everything stormcloaks drop and I think you can take pretty much everything in his house so you'll get more profit out of it overall (I think, didn't do the maths) I also went with him the first time because he was near the closest door to which I ran like a madman
Oof. My last detail didn't get in. Oh well, I'll say it again, I guess. • When Storn Crag Strider dies, the Skaal village will say their last words to him. Each one has an individual thing to say. • When Delphine leaves to go to Farengar, you can actually see her absense from the Riverwood Inn, her bartender will actually notice this and say "She is out." A cool tiny detail almost nobody would see. • There don't appear to be any ruins or skeletons surrounding Winterhold, supposedly the city collapsed and was eroded away. There aren't any remains, from what I remember. Maybe that can play into some theory about what caused the Great Collapse.
Speaking of Delphine, and maybe Nate mentioned this at some point and I missed it, one of his tiny details is that she has a map to the Dragon burial sites (based off the Dragonstone), but says he doesn't know how she got it. She's the one who gives the location of it in the Bleak Falls Barrow to Farengar, and the player can see the two of them meeting after returning from the Barrow, assuming the player didn't pick up the Stone while doing the Claw retrieval quest first
I have some you yet to cover. 1. The mead mixed with juniper berries that Ralof mentions during the opening can be found randomly in locations when you return to Helen. 2. During Unbound, you see imperial mages firing magic at Alduin. This is the only time they appear in the game, so I assume they are cut content. 3. I don't know if this works for other holds, but when I first came to whiterun during one of my playthroughs, I had a imperial light armor set on, and a guard commented about me being a scout. Edit: Yet another. 4. Riverwood is where most people first go. When talking to Alvor the Blacksmith, you can request to help him around the forge, and he'll have you craft an iron dagger, aswell as a hide helmet. Well this quest can be started by talking to any blacksmith in all holds, not just the main cities. Edit: Yet another again. 5. Asking companions what the campanions are after you're harbinger, will reward you with a sarcastic response. (You could possibly get this after just joining, but I only discovered it after I was harbinger.)
3:46 "refers to as he" It would be cool if Bethesda could implement the same "world state" mechanic used in the Dragon Age games. Your past choices and character creation elements are carried out to the next game. It would be neat to have especially after Skyrim's Civil War questline where players could make some serious and world changing decisions. I might be nitpicking here but my immersion would brake big time if in ES6 my female elf dragonborn is referred as a nord man or something.
As much as I would love this, the elder scrolls shouldn't have this added in when we're in between the 5th and 6th major installments. Also, Season Unending makes a peace treaty between stormcloaks and imperials, and it's main quest. Though it's meant to be temporary (you can break it) it'll likely stay in effect and have a better, more official treaty as the canon for TES:VI.
@@emlynselene1096 I'm so sad that I missed the treaty. I didn't know about it and in my playthrough I finished the Civil War before finishing the main quest line
Something I've noticed is that if you're on a quest in a dungeon, any locked door you encounter does not lead tou down the quest path unless it needs a specific key. The game almost wants you to sail through it without too much fiddling with random doors. Anyway, great series, it's been a huge help for me. Keep it up!
Nate is the mind of madness, he tortures himself by walking the land of skyrim, in search of his "tiny details" until the day where he'll finally join sheogorath in his madness Episode 101917 of tiny details in skyrim Did you know that this guy is actually a reference to- *CHEESE !!*
Episode 90: Did you know that there is an extremely rare encounter with Nazeem where he tries to flirt with a barrel? Whatever is going on, the barrel knows and the barrel is not talking.
I was late in finding you Nate, but I've watched almost every video and look forward to future elder scrolls knowledge you'll provide! You're a true divine!
Nate, I just want you to know that while I (and I dare say, many others) juggle studying, working, and an overall very busy life, your regular videos are the most welcome excuse to take a short break and enjoy a bit of fantastic Skyrim lore. Thanks a bunch!
I told people before Hadvar's snake quote was a Harry Potter reference. Everyone I said it to said "eh..." Finally a video where someone else points it out.
I've got one for you that I've never seen you mention. It's in the Dawnguard DLC, when you make it to the chantry of Auriel. You know by that point that the chantry was full of peaceful people when it was attacked, but to emphasize this, there's actually a skeleton somewhere under a table that seems to have died hugging their knees to their chest while hiding under the table.
Nate: "Hopefully we can just keep doing this forever!" Nate in 2322: "Please Todd Howard! Release me from this curse! I didn't really mean forever all those moons ago! Allow me the sweet relief that comes with the sleep of death!" Todd Howard: *"Hehe... It just works!"*
Another great video, Nate. I haven't even started watching it yet. I just usually say this before watching videos from one of my favorite RU-vidrs. Already an excellent intro. Definitely following you on Instagram now that I know about it.
Why can't I get enough of those Videos? :-D your videos have become sort of a tradition to me. Keep up the good work and idk how... but I hope to see episode 100 of 10 tiny details one day ^o^
Nate: hopefully we can keep doing this forever me: OMG ARE YOU PROPOSING? YES YOUVE MADE ME THE HAPPIEST SUBSCRIBER IN THE WORLD!!! lol you can honestly hear the hope in his voice too, so much love
Hey Nate, started to watch your videos sporadically about 2 months ago. I can't seem to get enough of them. I tried to find the first one you did and watch them in order, but I gave up on that and just continued to watch them sporadically. I said all that because I have a few thoughts I am not sure you covered. Like when your wife in the game becomes kidnapped and held for ransom. Or when if you contract vampirism before you complete any champions quest, you can be a vampire and a werewolf, or the mystery of Rune's or Sapphire's name (from the the thieves guild.
Bit late to the party, but I don't think I've seen you mention something before. In white river watch, if you sneak in, there's a small room with a wolf in a cage and bandits discussing how to go about training it. One saying something about being afraid of being attacked. Well, if you shoot the cage door with an arrow, it will open the door and the wolf will almost immediately attack the bandit that mentioned it.
I work a 12 hour shift so I have literally just watched and listened to all of these and the 5 things you probably didn’t know series in one night so I have learned so much knowledge 😂
I restarted Skyrim and I'm playing the main quest and dlcs in order side by side no side quest until I'm done saving the world! I'm done with the main non dlc quest line. (defeated Alduin at level 13) 😜 🥝🍉🥝
Defeating Alduin so early means that you havent buffed your combat mods. In my playthrough there is no way I can face Mirmulnir without a follower when under level 10 without him roasting me on the second breath he exhales.
@@Buglin_Burger7878 Nah, just hide in the watch tower and use arrows when he is on the ground, run back in when he advances on you. With my mods, Deadly Combat, Combat Evolved, Dragon Combat Overhaul, Revenge of The Enemies and Dynamic Difficulty it is nearly a 10 minute fight, 15-20 if you try under level 10 and survive.
Wow awesome Nate, I've only just discovered your Skyrim stuff. Half of your stuff I never knew was there. I guess I gotta a lot of back watching to do.
This may be quite well known, but it was something that surprised me after happening for the first time over two hundred hours into the game- Upon your first purchase of a dwarven item from any shop, Calcelmo sends you a letter asking you to bring it to him for further study. I rarely purchase stuff from shops, and I rarely use dwarven weapons/armor, so it was a cool surprise to me, at the very least.
Seren isn't actually the only pregnant character in Skyrim. Dinya Balu, the priestess of Mara in Riften, also reveals to her husband Maramal in a conversation that can be overheard by the Dragonborn that she is with child, something that both of them thought impossible (for unexplained reasons) and consider a miracle.
One I’m not sure you covered is Druadach Redoubt. If you help Madanach during “No one Escapes Cidhna Mine” then all the forsworn you helped in the quest will be present in the cave and friendly to the player. Thanks love all your videos.
Hopefully you haven't covered this before and I forgot, but when Neloth sends you to kill Ildari there's a part where she appears on a ledge to speak to you then summons minions and runs away. If you can do enough damage from a distance fast enough, you can kill her then instead of during the boss fight later.
Hey, how's it going Nate? It's Ronin here and your skyrim 10tiny details lists are extensive. Today I'll be diving into one tiny detail you may have missed in The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim. After the mission Dragon Rising when you are told to report back to Jarl Balgruff that the dragon is dead, if instead of going to whiterun, take the road to honningbrew meadery and you'll see a familiar NPC. Delphine the owner of The Sleeping Giant inn in Riverwood and one of the last remaining Blades will be along that stretch of road heading back to Riverwood after having snuck into dragons reach and made a copy of the Dragonstone that the dragonborn retrieved from bleak falls barrow. It's small and only a minimal interaction but it's nice to see Bethesda took the time to show exactly when Delphine did this. And with that we are going to wrap up, one tiny detail you may have missed in the Elder Scroll V Skyrim. Take care Nate and keep these vids coming 😀
Hey EpicNate you may have already mentioned it and I just don't remember if you did but when you do the mind of madness quest and overhear sheogorath talking to palagius he mentions how he was there and witnessed when Martin Septim turned into the dragon to fight Mehrunes Dagon... referencing the fact that you (the player) became the new sheogorath after completing the Shivering Isles DLC
Not sure if anyone's mentioned this, but I think the part in The Elder Scrolls Online where the dude mocks Whiterun, saying they'll take anybody as Thane. I think it might be a small reference to the fact that for just about everyone who's played Skyrim, they'd have gone through the main questline and become Thane of Whiterun as a result, meaning they legit took everyone as Thane.
Yeah, that's a good reason to make someone Thane. But still, if you think about it, basically EVERY person who's played Skyrim has become Thane of Whiterun because of that in at least one playthrough, which is why I believe the line is a reference to that. Because everyone has done it.
No. Skyrim Main Character is a confirmed Dragonborn at that time and already assisted in killing a dragon. To make him a Thane of your hold is a wise decision that ropes him into your "side" and shows him a lot of goodwill.
Hey Nate! At 6:45 when talking about the Harry Potter reference, Ralof's remark is a reference to The Half Blood Prince. When Harry and Professor Slughorn encounter Hagrid mourning over Aragog, Hagrid says something along the lines of that spiders are misunderstood creatures and that he thinks it's the eyes that freak people out. Just thought I'd point that out! ☺️
Oblivion "Oh, you have been a naughty boy, Motierre, haven't you?" Skyrim "Oh now that explains quite a bit, Motierre you naughty naughty boy." Nate: "After literally searching through the game's files the word 'naughty' is used like twice in skyrim and once in oblivion, so i think bethesda was doing this on purpose." Note that the line in oblivion had one naughty and the line in skyrim had two naughties, its preety obvious that those are the only times that the words have been used in the games and im certain that Nate noticed that ;-)
I created a new Skyrim account and played through pretty much every questline without dying. Then, I used that floaty mushroom thing in Solstheim and was killed, for the first time, by Lydia knocking me off the top.
For the thane of Whiterun part - all of the other holds require you to help so many of their citizens and buy a house. Whiterun is the only one where you literally do one thing that you /have/ to do to continue the main questline, so the "they'll take anybody" bit is SUPER accurate
