Slap City 1.1 trailer + New Character Announcement 

I think it'll start getting more attention now that it's becoming more content rich. Story mode's definitely gonna bring me back

It's like if Melee had a balanced cast and buffers so you can play any char you want and you also don't destroy your hands

@@plahhhh Well, in short, the amount of control you have over your character and the impact you have over a match as a player is comparable Short story long, some of the alpha testers were Smash players who wanted to have as much stage & character balance, control over their character, and QoL implementations as possible, and they added everything. They even added things like a story mode with text dialogue for each base character (similar to some classic fighting games), a team sports mode, and a couple of activities you can do while standing by for ranked matches 🤣

@@rocketleax5 I mean in terms of unique move set potential. Asha's teleporting gimmick makes for a more distinct playstyle. Although I certainly would mind being able to MPFB Devastator someone in the face.

Just update slap city enough and maybe it can be what Nasb wanted to be in popularity

I think they always had two (small) teams working on different things, thaddeus and a few others working with Fair Play to make NASB ...that being said I wouldn't be incredibly shocked if nothing is coming after Rocko, at least until Nick decides they want to make a sequel since I think that's just kind of how Nick likes those types of games now (See: the kart racers getting a 3rd entry soon)

@@WhyHandlesIMeanFroggchamp It's already the best plat fighter IMO The gameplay's so polished that a Slap City 2 could have the same gameplay with pimped visuals and you have a great sequel

theyve previously stated they Really dont wanna do guest characters, they would much rather work with characters they have complete control over outside of licensed work

They've stated previously that the way the game is coded would make it way too difficult to add rollback netcode, so it's probably not gonna happen.

Completing story mode unlocks a page in the character's how-to-play section with the secret moves. Explanation below... IIRC when the opponent has taken 200 or more damage: grab them, taunt, and then press either attack, special, or clutch before the taunt throw completes.

Esi or Anti-Muri would make more sense.
