You know what blows my mind about every video I see of sts board game is that literally not a single person recording it has any sts experience. And I’m not shaming or even complaining about it. It’s just so crazy to me that all of these people with no experience in the video game all pickup the board game and play that. lol

Really awesome editing (showing the cards on screen), love it! I am awaiting arrival of this game and very hype. Just for fun listing what few mistakes I do see (that you guys didn't correct yourselves): 41:30 You did need 2 block as wrath deals 1 damage to you at the end of turn 43:24 You're still in wrath so should be doing +1 damage on your attacks 53:26, 1:43:40 The correction is wrong for the default rules (each player just draws a relic, as you did), though there is an optional/variant rule to draw the number of regular relics equal to player number and pick one. Boss relics do work the way you did them, reveal equal to # of players + 1 (or reveal 3 if solo). 1:00:08 Vulnerable (2x damage) only applies to hits (sword icons) from Attacks, not effects that say "deal damage" 1:18:56, 1:26:15 Strength (+1 damage) also only applies to hits (sword icons) and not effects that say "deal damage" 1:42:58 Weak (-1 damage) also only applies to hits (sword icons) and not effects that say "deal damage" I think the semi-simultaneous (players seeing their own hands and discussing but playing cards one at a time) way you guys were playing works well for 2 player, definitely wouldn't be great for 3+ player games. not being able to use things like vulnerable and foreign influence effectively just due to turn and card play order. The "sequential turns" variant in the rulebook is even worse as you don't even get to see all hands at once! just a warning for anyone who is gonna play this game, simultaneous is what the game is balanced around All in all, great fun video thanks for sharing it! Looking forward to watching act 2.

Waiting for my copy and saw this playthrough and decided to give it a watch. You guys got a new subscriber. Love the energy you guys bring to table. Was a blast to watch and now going to check your other videos. Always fun to find a new board game content creator.

a few mistakes I spotted after 22 mins: - retain doesnt mean you will draw less cards next turn, you always draw 5 (if you retain 1 card last turn, you'll have 6 at the start of next turn)

Wow. The balls on this lady for taking Mark of Pain instead of Holy Water. I mean, Holy Water is still extra energy... So taking Mark of Pain is purely for the statement that she can. 😂

22 and a half minutes in and I am yet again finding that tracking down people playing this is not making the wait for my copy to arrive any easier. >_< Very glad to hear so far that the quality of the game appear to be very good. Those coins seem very nice.

21:00 in all other cases you are allowed to look at all your rewards at the same time before making any decision(even at the boss rewards), but on the Neow's Blessing specifically you need to first take a basic 3 gold and a card reward, and only then you are allowed to look at your rare cards reward 21:40 you always draw 5 cards at the start of each turn/round, Regret doesnt lower it to 4 35:00 you are allowed to pay gold for other players both on events and at shop 52:40 Deus Ex counts as a skill, so you would have recieved 1 damage 53:20 you got your relics correctly, by the rules each player takes their own relic randomly. There is an optional rule that allows you to pick for each player, but it is not standart, and i personally can tell that the design was built around getting relics at random. If you want to play with optional rules and feel comfortable its fine, just know that the game becomes way easier this way. 55:35 unlike in the video game, you are allowed to keep Whetstone for later if you want to find a better attack for an upgrade

Combust is a power, not an attack. I don't think it's supposed to gain damage from vulnerable or strengthen. Look at the descriptions on the player reference sheet at 09:42. Vulnerable gets 2x damage on a "Hit" (sword icon). Strengthen gets +1 damage on a "Hit" (sword icon). ...There is no sword icon on Combust. Not sure if the rulebook says otherwise, but I can definitely attest that Combust does not gain damage from vuln/strength on the video game.

28:32 it’s very interesting to see it played this way. I read the rule book and saw this as an optional way to play but to me doesn’t it completely remove the whole “co-op” aspect of the game when you could all draw your cards and then decide what to do based on what everyone draws? I mean I can clearly see that some people enjoy it but at that point why don’t y’all just play by yourselves? Genuine question not hating.

Personal opinion, I don't like Carve Reality because I have a high "does this work on bosses" mindset. Carve Reality doesn't get its second hit on all of them. But that's just my opinion, you do you. On a more tactical note, Wallop is an excellent card, as it both damages and defends. I would recommend taking it whenever you can. That is all, hope you have fun.

Question: when y0u have a power active that does danage to an enemy can you choose whenever it happens like can you use a temporary strength up and then choose to use it or donthey happen before you're turn starts???

32:13 you dealt 4 dmg to Jaw Worm which had 4 HP but it also had 2 block which you ignored. So that shouldn't have killed it but left it at 2 HP instead.

First of all, its a great video, but so you remember you could get a piece of paper and write “take damage from wrath” and put it on top of your deck not sure if that would be the best option but definitely a quick one Also at the start of the slime boss you removed the 2 block from your anchor, it didn’t matter in that fight but it could matter in the future Also also are you playing with things locked or just full blast unlocked everything

This is great, and you two are awesome! I can't for the life of me figure out why Regret is bad if you draw 5 cards regardless. Help me out, folks!

Where does it say that retain cards make tou draw 1 less? In the rulebook i cant find it, it says draw 5 card, not up to 5. Also i'm Italian and maybe there is some language misunderstanding on my part. Thank you

24:03 very weird wording and a bad way to say you can deal 3 damage total. Either deal 3 to one enemy or split it and do 2 to 1 and 1 to another.
