Exactly!!! Been playing lead guitar and going to metal shows since '78 and only slayer and Pantera never sold out and got heavier every year!!! Rip-jeff, dime and big Vin......
@@_SliK_ I don't understand, how do you like Pantera? I've already discovered Slayer, Amon Amarth, Übermensch and Cannibal Corpse and listen to them all the time, but Pantera's music (for me) is total trash🤔. Any tips how to get into Lamb of God/Pantera? Oh yeah, and anyway, Anselmo is a great singer (MetalMasters 4 recommended).
Фейковый Аккаунт: M8 music is subjective. I’m just glad at 17 I found that band that I’ll always love 100%. It’s everything about them, coz I’ve been watching tonnes of live shows on YT, interviews and obviously their home videos. For me there just the realist guys, who always stayed loyal to their fans.
Saw them at Graspop a couple of weeks ago for the last time. Now I can't stop searching for "Slayer live" and watching another set, I may be in the denial stage of grief.
me too, saw them sydney australia, I felt addictded, kept thinking of how it felt, for months after the concert, addicted to the rush, they played extra long set coz ozzy didntplay, ws addicted for months, even tho I seen them twice before and I was like k, but there last show was geat
1983 show no mercy came out , i bought it and i knew immediately i was going to be a life time SLAYER FAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Saw them twice, in '88 and '90. It was like being thrown across a room, picked up and thrown across again and again and again...... They were relentless. The best live band I've ever seen and I lived through the golden age of metal- '86-'92.
So happy they got in before COVID...however...maybe SLAYER unleashed hell on the world with their world tour muahahahahaaaaaaa >:) No but seriously...it's awful. But I'm so glad I got to see Slayer on the last leg. I saw them with Pantera the last time Pantera played Canada... so. fucking. good.
Even though they are thrash, their particular blend of thrash metal had an enormous impact on the death metal scene. Slayer was much darker and faster than most of the other thrash bands of the time.
What an awesome band! Was very fortunate to have seen them in Denver 2014. ST and Exodus opened for them. Very enjoyable show, played in an enjoyable venue Crazy how they were dropping the bass far before dropping the bass was cool!
I saw them at The Forum in Inglewood,CA same tour and it was awesome all the bands kicked ass and finally seeing Slayer was unforgettable the pits were amazing
Saw them 3 times in total. The first time was at this very show...I had no Idea they were filming until I saw all the cameras there. I missed their last tour but have this memory. Best metal show ever
I was at this tour, in New York City….a few weeks after 9/11. When they tore into this the floor absolutely lost it’s collective mind. Maybe it was just an energy eruption from everything that had been happening in the city up until that point but I have never seen anything like it before or since and I’ve been to hundreds of shows from everyone you can imagine. Bodies flying everywhere, people getting trampled, people getting carried out bleeding, unconscious, limping. The one and only time I’ve ever been in a pit legitimately worried for my safety. It was absolute madness.
Slayer was my first concert back in 2004 at a venue just like this. It was quite the first concert experience. Been to alot of rock metal concerts since then, no other band plays as loud as slayer!!!
With respect to all guys who ever played in this band and to their age, too, this was still the good old Slayer, with its basic ingredidents: 3 guys headbanging wildly, Hanneman and King on the wings...
Slayer were always intense live but their best era was with Dave whose drums are better than just technically good and powerful but shaped their best five first LPs. This later stuff is still very good 3/4 so! Dave is as important to the sound of THUNDERING Drums and double riffing just as John Bonham was for Led Zeppelin. So no. Bostaphe never FEELs as good as Bostaphe. The same with Bonham. The difference between good and GREAT. Everytime Dave returned their live performances perked up and their most creative first five LPs were all Dave, Jeff, Tom and Kerry. Bostaphe is a very good drummer technically but lacks soul!
I bought this in 2003. All I remembered about it from then was they ended with Angel Of Death their fastest song. Very impressive even though they look spent at the end lol
I was bombarded by Haunting the Chapel, Live Undead, Show No Mercy, Hell Awaits and Reign In Blood pretty much all at the same time. I was close to 16... Then South Of Heaven totally blew me away...
Slayer, Slipknot, Korn, Iron Maiden, Megadeth, Metallica, Avenged Sevenfold, System of a Down, Bullet for my Valantine and Suicide Silence are the best \m/ If you think I'm a "poser" well...I will not give a damn :)
Fuck slayer is the fucking shit! They have a lot of songs and not one song is bad by them! That is rare for me. I can listen through all slayer albums without skipping a single track. RIP Jeff. Truly the greatest most talented man ever to walk this earth!
What's all the Bostaph-bashing? He is just awesome. Neither better nor worse than Dave. All you haters just diss him because he is not Dave. Come on. The difference is not very huge.
Lombardo played on Slayers best and most influential albums. Bostaph played with Forbidden before getting recruited to play on Divine Intervention. Bostaph is a great drummer, but his influence and originality isn't in the same class as Lombardo.
For fucks sake. Just listen to the double bass drumming in Angel Of Death. Bostaph can't do it. He has never been able to do it. I don't hate Bostaph but he is clearly worse than Dave.

I got this DVD in the mail the week it was released. I was 16 and just started my junior year of high school. No bigger Slayer fan at Camden County High School in GA than me.
@@hifinphoto Nope. Paul IS very good technically and more frenzied but less pump and groove. More typical thrash, less individual in sound and thereby less creative but this is a very good concert, no doubt about that and Paul shines here.
Man, takes me back to High School. Me and my friends passed this DVD around like it was a porno. Pornography being hard to come around back in ‘03/04. Better times back then I tell ya.
there's no such thing as a casual slayer fan. I've never met the slayer fan who's just like "eh slayers cool" however i have met the slayer fan that will happily carve the slayer logo into their chest slayer's the greatest band to ever grace this earth ever...HAIL FUCKING SLAYER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
