It’s okay, I silently pray before trying out a new hairstyle in hopes it turns out well, lol 😝. Your results are cute, my favorite gel for smoothing is Palmer’s Olive Oil gel ($ 4, Walmart). It’s a stiffer paste, the only one that works on my super thick WD40 hair, a little goes a long way. 😎👍🏽💃🏽

I love Palmer’s, Bronner Bros, Luster’s (oil sheen), Infusium 23, Doo Gro (mega thick mask), and Tresemme. The price points are $ 4 to 7, give stellar results, last a long time and my wallet doesn’t cry in terror. 😎🥰💃🏽🏋🏾‍♀️🏋🏾‍♀️🤣

I tried a sleek low ponytail ONCE.....and it took to long for me. Now, I know "long" cause I do my twist kind of small but all of the parting, adding gel, using a brush to sleek it, tying it back, and then using another brush, and repeating was just tiring. Plus it was too hot!!! I got tired, start making the sections bigger and then started using less gel. LOL. It didn't come out horrible, wasn't as sleek as yours, but I think i'll probably only attempt if I really really want that style. I wore it for like an hour or two...and then wash my hair (like I planned to do originally).

Love this style!!! Looks beautiful on you. I like the versatility...dressing it up with the clips or dressing it down. It almost look like you started on wet/damp twists, however I do not think you did. Also was the Tangle Teezer the large size? The link shows ultimate detangler in standard and large. Also wanted to know where your scrunchies are from?

I have 3c/4a type hair I used to get tight braids when younger and it ripped out my hair I have been putting oils and treatments on the area some of it grew back but now I just have one spot on each side of my head that are shorter than the rest of my hair and the thing is it is in the front of my head and around my hairline it would be helpful if anyone could recommend any tips ( my hair is a little past my shoulders, I do protective styles, I don’t use that much gel on my hair, I oil up my hair once 2 days)
