I feel like body image issues during sex are even higher in wlw relationships due to comparison with partner. Best thing is for each to embrace their own body and not to compare bodies with their partner.
For some reason I think the opposite. I've never been with a guy but I feel like I could be worried that he'll be weirded out by my body because he doesn't exactly know what it's like (so many guys grossed out by vajays), or he'll compare me with what he's seen in media in p0rn and he's not aware it's not real. However with girls i think they've seen it all. Most girls have stretch marks etc so they're familiar with this

Like I don’t feel as worried about my partner being grossed out by my body because women know what a woman’s body looks like without the perception of what the media perceives a female body looks like if that makes sense?

I’m sure you’ve already read online that being “too” wet is never/very rarely a problem. So, as a sexologist, I would firstly work with you on your relationship with your vagina and your embarrassment (and how much it is related to patriarchy, the male gaze, and society thinking that vaginas are impure/dirty). Being too wet is not a problem for your body. It’s actually making sure you’re not getting any fissures inside from the sex. Less wet can equal fissures and that makes a lot of other problems for your body (pain, trauma, scarring AND more chances for STIs). I would say the best tip, is putting a towel under you, and appreciating what your body is trying to do for you to make it a fun experience. There are a lot of articles on the internet, specifically about other women/people with vaginas going through the same process. The second thing is to talk to your doctor or OBGYN/gynecologist. But keep in mind, that unless they are trained in a sex positive space with a lot of critical thinking vis-à-vis patriarchy, doctors can and will have the same sex negative biases from society. In regards to lube, also how your glads and body reacts can be related to where you are within your cycle (if you have one) and that can also affect how wet or not you are. Tracking your cycle can be super helpful in understanding your body more and feeling less confused on why your body is reacting with more or less wetness.

My wife and I have been married for almost 20 years and we went through some rough times where sex was almost non existent. It might not be the same for lesbian relationships but I do think that both partners need to realize that sex is an important part of the relationship. If nothing else, when you deny a partner a sexual relationship it impacts them by making them feel unwanted. So I think it's important to try and distinguish between not wanting sex and trying to understand your obligation to your partner. Like... if I owe them some amount of effort, what can I do to make my mood change regarding this obligation? Whats reasonable? The 2nd thing is that even after 20 years of marriage, we both wanted to spice things up. There was a lot of stuff that we just had never done and the best way to break the ice and have those conversations is to sit down and fill out the "yes no maybe" sex survey. It has every kind of depraved and awesome thing you could do in the bedroom on a list. And because it's just a survey, it doesn't create the awkward moment where you are asking for someone to do something with you. You're simply taking a survey and saying that it's something you would consider or not. So you both fill out the list separately and then you lay in bed and talk about the results of the survey. It makes for a very good conversation and it allows both parties to ask things like "why are you not interested in that?" Or... " I didn't know you wanted to try that, I think it would be fun, we should do it". You can also rate your level of interest in each sex act with a 1-10 scale. This way the partner understands how important it might be. It has almost completely renewed my relationship to my wife in the bedroom. And every other way, as a result. And there were a number of things on the list that I wanted to do which she initially did not want to do... But once we discussed it and she understood a little bit more of what I was looking for, there were a number of things she decided she would be willing to try. She really enjoys most of the new stuff we tried. It has been a great shift in our marriage. We also tried DIPSEA a because of this channel... she listened to the stories while I massaged her body. Some places exist to help very low income individuals, cost-free, but many folks don't qualify for the free services but also don't have the hundreds of dollars for the doctor's appt AND the costs of the tests.

When I was first learning my way around having sex, I had several unfulfilling adventures. It was mostly because I had to learn to COMMUNICATE. Not just before or after but during... Little phrases like "a bit to the left" "faster, slower, harder, softer" "that's perfect" and asking the other person questions like "is this okay" "is this a good spot" "is this enough or do you want more/less" helps them communicate. Soon you'll both be asking for/directing whatever works for you! (Personally, it's a huge turn on for someone to tell/show me exactly what they want now!) AND the discovery of using at least a bit of lube! Maybe not always, but more often than not! Another thing... LAUGHTER! Sex should be fun! Relax & enjoy!
First girlfriend I had the sex was amazing, but the second she hated everything I did, constantly complained, and, as I am naturally shy and submissive with women, complained about that too, so that I was even more intimidated. As an addendum seeing as I forgot the second question: Someone who is into you will tell you everything you need to know by reading their body language. If you're not getting any specific readings, try the method of suggestion using your own body language or even words and pay attention to their response whether verbal or non-verbal.
