I show two types of slingshots and different ways to use them. I show me shooting them in the conventional way and as a slingbow setup. www.arvadasurplus.com/trumark-...
I am a bow man but got into slingshots through prepping and they're so much fun it is in my top 5 prepping items now you put in the practice this will feed you in a shtf situation, the slingshot, ammo and a couple of spare bands is so light and takes up hardly any room...
Just cause the bands have a heavier pull does not mean they have more power......look for rubber that retracts quicker......you match your ammo to your bands......fps equal energy.......the red bands work great for marbles and 3/8 steel ammo and rocks.......have fun check out Thera band gold exercise bands, lighter draw and great power
That TruMark is very reliable, powerful and very accurate. Practice with it and you will be surprised how deadly it is. Use a 50caliber ball bearing, you'll be amazed.
Practice makes permanent! Consistent perfect practice, makes perfect practice permanent! I bought the smaller one tonight and searching for modification videos.....
I have a similar slingshot i bought in Australia back in 1999. If you fill it up to the max with ammo it dosnt rattle, it gives it abit more weight to it tho.
Apparently all of us noted the rattling of the ammo within the handle...totally annoying. Great idea for shooting arrows. I have a Daisy wrist rocket I'll try setting up for arrows. Personally, I love the flat bands as my accuracy rate has risen tremendously since using them on a small Axiom Champ from Simple Shot. I have a Scout (also Simple Shot) model on save at Amazon. The marbles from Dollar Tree is a great idea!
ya in a survival situaaaation - your targets will be miles away cuz yu got yourself all them noizy shots in the handle son... You ain't gonna last long in da bush if ya'll didn't a that!!!
Well thought out video, I like it five stars for sure.. A bag of marbles and even the standard tubes are more than enough for you to harvest birds up the size of doves and pigeons and even rabbits or squirrel. This I can tell you because I have taken plenty of pigeons and doves with marbles and even harvested a rabbit with those kids marbles the "cat eyes" 5/8 size. I also know a few guys that kill squirrels with marbles and these trumark slingshots.
You should have silicone grease or the bands dry rott. I prefer the old wrist rockets one solid piece of metal and lasts forever. I have my whamo too it took band's I could never find them so I J.B. welded the slits closed and drilled a hole and J.B. welded 1/4 solid pin's in and put latex tubing on it. But I have never ever been dumb enough to buy ammo for a sling shot, river rocks are free by the buckets.
A good trick I use when I practice, I made a box with the back in angle like in an indoor shooting range, you can put a piece of carpet too, just make sure you have something in the bottom to catch, it cost 0$ and you will save all the ammo, you can put any target you want, mine had a spring to reset when hit with a ping sound, ho and please always inspect your rubber bands before use, I forgot to check one time and I pay the price, a big blackeye for 2 weeks, I was lucky because 1 more cm and it would hit my eye, the doctor said to make sure you dont hit your eyes close them before you shoot LOL, I told him, you're not a fan of slingshoot, how do you aim and shoot if you have your eyes close ? :)
Shooting the arrow at the pool noodles (although a miss) was still an impressive shot (very close). Yes, if it was a deer or hog, it would have been a hit. Animals unlike trees are softer so no doubt the arrow would have gone in deeper and would have been a kill. My wife and I are doomsday prepper. For weapons, we have (2) tactical 9-mm rifles, (2) semi-automatic pistols, (1) 38 revolver, (1) 12-gauge pump action shotgun, and (1) 22-cal. bolt action rifle. We also have a 100 pound compound bow too. After watching your video, we decided to buy sling shots to our weapons arsenal.
NWIPrepper19113 you could store the ammo in the folded slingshot till you actually need it then take it out. Yes I knowing it’s a 5 year old comment lol
Awesome stuff man, I was just watching some vids the other night about the "Slingbow" . So do the bands have a draw weight rating like a bow? Dollar store for the win yet again lol!!
They really are good survival tool 50 caliber lead balls work great too if you're going to go after stuff like raccoons or groundhogs just make sure you hit him right between the eyes or in the back of the head you will kill him instantly and you'll have something to eat in a survival situation marbles are better for birds and rabbits your little ball bearings are good for birds and possibly rabbits with the shot placement
the sling bow is worse than a regular bow and arrow because the feathers on the sling bow barley fit through the hole and it has no accuracy and ruins your arrow
the worst slingshots known to mankind. a natural would be better than these. seriously get a better one. they don't have to be expensive. I got one on Amazon for around 9$ that has way better aiming references than these. and it packs three times the power with a smaller profile.
