@@lonesucculentradio6225 I was on the opposite side from you. I lmao when he dropped his drumstick and he layed across the drums like he died. I wish I had gotten it on video.
Wow he sounds so good live! I’m happy for the fact Corey is still their vocalist and honestly I hope he never leaves slipknot it just wouldn’t be the same without him
Brought my son for his first concert on his birthday, he ended up with 3 sticks and 4 picks. The end of the video when Jay tosses that stick at stage left was to my son!
That’s awesome! Parenting done right. We brought our 2 daughters. Oldest wants to be in the pit from now on and little one was jamming the whole night 🤘🏽
Not everyone goes to heaven sadly so I'm pretty sure they are not in heaven 💔😭 the road to heaven is very narrow as narrow as a piece of hair so hopefully thru the grace of God they makes it :( but for now he sleeps and rests until the time comes that god comes back to earth to judge us all!!! Get ready people he's coming
Man, I can’t believe it was 90 minutes. Felt like they played a handful of songs we were going so crazy down in the pit. Time really does fly when you’re having fun.
a good show happens so fast. i've seen them around 5 times. a few times I lost the sense of time. just too in the zone rocking out...usually hammered 🤣😂
Felt the same for my first back in 2021 Knotfest LA, Knotfest Las Vegas and now ima see them in aftershock 22 for the third time. Crazy seeing them 3 times in under a year lol
I went to the 20th anniversary show back in 2019 and I didn’t appreciate it as much as I do now. Slipknot shows are always so mind blowing and fantastic
@@ianmierek7647 honestly it seems he ruined his voice with the deep growls on all hope is gone, he was basically using a deeper vol 3 scream but you could actually hear it degrading as the years went by, then come the grey chapter and his new vocal method and it kinda sounded off and the degradation of his voice was wild up until about 2016/17 where he started being able to do some higher and lower notes live, then there was improvement with we are not your kind but it wasn’t as drastic as the difference with the end so far. The sad thing about his voice is the best it ever sounded was also the worst for his voice so I fully support his decision to change his technique because right now it sounds great!
@@olibarrett4283 just goes to show how important vocal coaching is, no matter how experienced someone can be. i believe corey started getting lessons from melissa cross right before wanyk released, so that probably helped a lot.
@@fissure2132 I didn’t know that ! I heard something about him quitting smoking that would have probably helped with his breathing when singing too, I’ve noticed he can hold notes longer live. I also heard his mask can sometimes alter his perception of his vocals mainly the mask needs to be flush to his lips like the last three.
@@olibarrett4283 if you listen to "hivemind" you can hear him get winded and lose his "edge" to his vocals. Listen to how Corey says "you're such a tortured soul" in the first verse compared to how it sounds in the rest of the song. All of the years of screaming and growling is catching up with him. Maybe that's why we have so many damn clean vocal choruses.
This has the same awesomeness and energy when I first saw them in 2000. Appreciate this. Brings back memories. I even got to meet and hang out with Joey. R.I.P.
One of the best shows I have seen them play! We drive from Oklahoma and were right in the front where Jim Root is and Had the best time! Thanks for posting and sharing great video! 😃
Don’t know how I accidentally deleted my other comment but man, slipknot could just play for years and years to come without even making new songs! Just playing their old ones is all they need
Thanks for uploading! I was in the pit 8-10 people from clown and the mix was really rough for the first 3 or so songs, glad to hear it from a better angle
I was at this show and it was so amazing! Crown the Empire and I’ve Nine Kills we’re both also so cool! Sometimes it still hard to believe I got to see not only Slipknot but also Ice Nine Kills as only my second concert I’ve been to.
I remember seeing them at the Gexa in Dallas when their .5 album was going to or has dropped. And i saw them again in Des Moines for their Anniversary tour back in 2019 i believe. Shit was badass!!!
I hope they play Eyeless and SIC at Aftershock man😭 it’ll be my first time seeing them. I’m more than happy to see the band but some part of me is crushed I’m not seeing all OG members. Been a fan since I was 5y/o back in 2003. I’m fucking stoked regardless Then I’ll be seeing Slaughter to Prevail next month
I had grass ghetto seats the first time I heard Jay coming out swinging with this intro and hearing him do a double kick intro I kind of cried that’s how amazing it sounded!
i can see both of my friends who were surf crowding and me starting the mosh 😂 i loved this show and honestly im going to tell my future kids about this one day
I hope that Corey keeps his voice in this good condition thru the next five years ❤️🥺🙏🙏 cuz I still wanna go see them and I still want him to sound this good :)
Every song they played in this concert, I've imagine those era and energy of corey taylor with different mask in different songs. Good old days prime corey taylor
I simply need my son to be older. Have started taking him to metal shows and he in love whole heartedly. He sees this stuff and begs for the pit. Sorry bud you are only 8. We gotta build you up a bit yet. I hope they are still this strong in 5 or 6 years. And put your damn phones down folks and just fucking enjoy the energy.
I wish they would do at least one show playing songs they have never played live before. But seeing how they have had the same setlist with the exception of a song or two from their previous two albums for the past ten years now.
