i had a 122s bought in caif. 1970. rebuilt a lot of it and drove it for years including several cross country trips. would love to have another.

excellent video, I just returned from going to the 2019 SLO National meet couple of weeks ago and see many of these vintage, and modified Volvos models, not disappointed, upon watching this video it sure showed how carefully Volvo owners maintained these beauties , one thing can be said about attending a Californian car show, never a dull moment at Santa Rosa Park including the scenery of this part of California .

my classic volvo was imported from california back to sweden in 2012. so if you had your eyes open could you be lucky and have seen my car 10 years ago. it is a Volvo P1800ES

"Meh, that's my comment on those" @28:15. Do you still feel like that after buying the XC90?...:) My last Volvo in the US was a 940 SE - dark grey, auto with a factory installed wing and sunroof. I think it was a '92. When I sold it it had 320K miles. Never needed anything but regular service and everything worked, including the factory A/C.

I’m only really impressed by the V8. It doesn’t ever feel like it has to work hard to move the weight. It’s probably the best thing I’ve ever bought. What’s more embarrassing is that I didn’t know anything about the 164 at 21:00. Now it’s like a whole new me 3 years later.

Fantastic video. Great cars but also a wonderful tour guide. Makes me appreciate though, how faithful my 122 restoration was. Some things people have done make me cringe.

Awesome video, cool to see so many personal touches. In Norway original cars are the craze. I used to own a very unoriginal 121 with 45 webers+++. Thanks for letting me see some americans taking care of the old sweedes.

On the 240 wagons, the large tailgate window came in 1990 and lasted through the end of production. The glass is almost impossible to find. It took me 3 years to find one.

I have a 1963 122s Volvo I plan on bringing it to the next sloroling meet its different though and it is basically a 122s lowrider your either gonna hate it or love it 👍🏽😄

It really warms my heart to see these old Volvos being taken cared of and actually used! Also i did not expect the Duett, are they somewhat uncommon in the states?

Hi David Thanks for sharing love the old Volvo's this makes me miss my 66 P1800, how are you builds going? I have a New HD gear set for the B18 or B20 if your interested and I have an old glass fuel pump it will need to be cleaned thanks again Take care always.

David this would be a perfect place, to get rid of some of the extra parts either for the Amazon, or past projects, plus it is a way to exchange certain parts you don*t need for the ones that you need or could use.l👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽

Amazing Amazon Collection. The B 18 Engine is Bulletproof. The Volvo Marketing team were early Crackhead's, which explains their motto; "Drive it like you hate it"!
