Not bad. I liked that you were very focused on evidence and examples here, as I think with any critical analysis people get far too vague with certain things that they see within stories. I will say though that saying that the emotional tug in Charlotte was bad because we met the character "ten minutes ago" isn't quite right. Look at series like Samurai Champloo and you can build emotional connections in that time. The problem was that the character did nothing in those ten minutes aside from what the protagonists made him do. A couple other criticisms I have are that you mumble words a bit and you sort of start repeating yourself with the whole "Aren't all stories manipulative?" bit. Could have cut that down a smidge. There were a few things with the text too that made it hard to read, like momentary black on black background and having the anime name in the center of the screen rather than off to the side. I don't think you need the "Source:" part. As it comes to the actual topic, often times the situation becomes the real hang that most viewers find emotional resonance in. Critical people try and levy out their own personal experiences in those instances (that whole objectivity bit) though it can be hard when you don't know if it's what's shown or what you know that makes you receptive to something. Seeing people in the hospital in a coma state gets to me because I saw someone go through that, but that doesn't mean that I automatically care for their situation. How much distance you have from the subject matter is going to affect your emotional attachment to it, and I think that might be something worth exploring.
