Today’s recipe is for quick, fresh, small-batch kimchi made with napa cabbage, called baeuchu-geotjeori. I make it Jeolla province style, with a thick paste made from fermented anchovies. The full recipe is here: www.maangchi.com/recipe/baech...
I found that Amazon has the YeongYang hot pepper flakes I show in the video! amzn.to/2IH9L16

I dont know why when you mention about your kids, I get so emotional. I followed your recipes since I was 16. The first dish I made from your recipes was cabbage kimchi. After that, I have cooked for my family alot of delicous things thanks to you. For me, you are not only my teacher but also another mother. I have not meet you in person yet, but I really love to do it. I love your video, your recipes, your soul and your voice. Thank you for upload these video and introduce the korean cuisine. I hope you always be happy and healthy.

That is exciting to hear!!!! I recommend trying the spicy Korean stir-fried pork! That's one of the first recipes I tried and it is super easy to make! We usually have it 2-3 times a month! Also if we don't have pork we substitute it with chicken. The first time I made the recipe I followed Maangchi's directions exactly. I loved the spice and heat. My husband liked it but it was a little too much for him to handle. Just keep that in mind if people in your family are a little sensitive (but we latina's can handle our spice haha!) I can't wait to hear what you try! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3oFCGKmzQX8.html

This video was uploaded over 4 years ago but still I want to share this lovely feeling with you. I hope you can see this comment! Great love from your home, Korea.

This brings back so many wonderful memories I have of Korea. I was there as a Peace Corps Volunteer for 2 years, lived with a Korean family and had very little contact with Americans. I loved Korea so much I didn't want to leave. I almost got married there and stayed. (That was not the path God had for me, however.) When I got back to the States I was "homesick" for a long time for Korea. I felt like a Korean among the "round-eyed." Korea will always have a special place in my heart.

Thank you for this recipe, Maangchi! 💖 I've used this recipe and it was so goooood! So much better than store-bought ones. Plus, it is cheaper too. This recipe filled up my Moccona coffee jar. For those who want to try this recipe and your chilli powder doesn't have information if it's mild, medium etc., I suggest to have a taste first and adjust the sugar accordingly.

I do hope the makers of the red pepper flakes- as well as other Korean products -put some labeling/descriptions in English as you spoke of in the video. I remember when we talked about this during the supermarket video we filmed. It would really help with purchases. The Korean Agro Trade is wise to have you giving ideas that will really make a difference. So many people respect your ideas and recipes. You look so happy and at ease sitting outside there.

I bought pre-made kimchi at the market today, after watching some of your videos yesterday. I loved this video and want to try to make the fresh kimchi. It was so wonderful of you to share this great experience in Korea with us. Thank you so much.

Thank yuo for this video, Maangchi! Instead of buying storebought kimchi, I can now make my own Baechu-Geotjeori anytime I want.

I live in Incheon and every day feels like a war. yeongyang hot peppers are especially beautiful in clear colors. When I was working in Cheongsong County, I went to Yeongyang-county a few times on my day off. North Gyeongsang Province yeongyang county They're all nice and blunt on the outside, but they're very kind-hearted. Just looking at the pretty outside makes you healthy. Kimchi looks delicious, and I should take some time to buy some yeongyang hot red pepper

I'm so glad & excited you made a small portion recipe of Kimchi. I'm the only one in my house that likes it. I buy it at the local market already made but it would spoil before I even finished eating all the contents of the container. I absolutely love kimchi with ramen. Again thanks for the recipes, God bless you & your talent to explain recipes.

It's so beautiful there. Spicy red hand sounds good to me! Thanks for the recipe and for asking the pepper producers to add some english translations for their U.S. customers.
