Yesssssss!!!!! The Blasphemy Build continues!!! So freekin cool to see you caning the work hard Mike!! EZ30R for the win. Sounded amazing when you fired her up. Finished by Xmas then, I hope..? 💪👍🏼
I absolutely love watching you work on the Blasphemy Build! So glad you’re back at it again. Park Tools 3-way for the win, such a useful tool. Any idea when you will be releasing the conversion kit and what the approximate price will be? I’ve been wanting to do a swap ever since I started watching your videos 2 years ago.
Wont it be hard to fill that new oil reservoir with the cap being positioned forward? AKA should have rotated 180 degree? Looks like the lid will block an easy fill....
Can tell you how nice it is to see you back at it. I get a sense that the whole world is as it should be when listening to the credits music…. Love it. Merry Christmas!! God bless.
I can't wait to see that ez30r scream . I am an owner of a 2008 manual legacy 3.0r sedan with a supercharger 400whp stock motor 190k miles beautiful car and a marvelous engine timeless from the inside out.
Hello, if you want to save weight, leave the black bracket off and screw the overflow tank directly onto your homemade bracket. is there a window to see if there is enough fluid in it?
I was thinking the same thing, would make the bracket a lot smaller and save weight even more in useless metal! Glad to see im not the only one thinking like that 🤣
I cannot wait for your next video. This is your subscriber over here on the south Bayside hopefully at one of the cars and coffees. I will get a chance to meet you because I’ve learned a lot from you and you keep me motivated to work on my Porsche and get out in the garage and not be a lazy ass. Thank you waiting for the next video.🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽
Bro, so glad to see you working on the Blasphemy… err just on a Porsche again! I know life stuff has been draining, but glad you’re back to doing what you love!
Thinking in terms of "while you're in there" - Is there any value in baffling that sump, given that the engine is sitting 180 degrees from it's normal position? Seen a few too many LS motors go pop in the same circumstance recently here on YT.
If your oil drain on the pan isn’t above the oil line in the sump. Your turbos will not properly gravity drain and could possibly backup with oil. 5:14
Yah if there’s not enough height between turbo and pan, it won’t drain effectively and then can back up into your turbo bearings and cause smoke. You’ll see scavenge pumps a lot with low hanging turbos
Think of it as exit from outlet flange to top of oil level in the pan. Seems close. Check out some other similar builds and even Porsche themselves who use a mechanical or electrical scavenge pump. I’ve had problems with your height. You can always add it after the fact if you need one but I suspect you will.
I don't know if there is a way out of this small issue, I agree that the tank to the right of the bracket makes sense, but did you notice the cap/filler neck is now way under the cowl.......which is not ideal for checking its level, topping it up, sucking it out etc. I can see the only other way would be instead to make the base of the bracket wider to push it to the right and then mount the tank 180 degrees around to face the front, but yes then it's closer to the induction - but hey the heat shouldn't be an issue really. Also if it gets closer to the bay side panel or more likely that tube frame, then it may then need a rubber grommet to stop it flexi into the frame (clank clank clank under load)......but you may need that anyway for the tank as you have it - unless you weld in a gusset to make the L shape more rigid. But I guess that's what prototypes are for..... 😉👏
that I'm not aware of. I am just trying to think logically. but you might be right. I'm also concerned your turbos aren't high enough above your drain and you might have a drain issue. an oil scavenge design might be better.
Hi Michael I've been watching all your videos and i love them. after watching them i decided to do the same engine the ez30r into my VW campervan with the haltec ECU do you have a copy of the wiring as I'm really struggling to understand it any help would be great thanks keep the video's coming 👍
