Today I show you how to smoke a couple 7 pound pork shoulders using a sweet and spicy binder of Sriracha Sauce and Hoisin Sauce, and some Sweet Heat Rub from JP BBQ! This pulled pork turned out too good! I was able to do this on my Weber Kettle using the Slow N Sear 2.0, It takes a bit of time, but it's well worth it! Check it out!

I just cooked a pork butt for the first time a few weeks ago. Also, on the SNS and used the DIGIQ DX3 too hold at 275 then the last hour or so at 300 with some cherry for smoke. Just over 6 hours. It was delicious. Love the new channel.

Slow n sear or the snake method. Which do you think works better?

Great bid CJ ! I'm about to do an 8.75 pork butt before trimming in my 22.5 weber tomorrow. I don't have the slow and sear but was planning on using two charcoal baskets on one side. I'm gonna shoot for a 225/250 kettle temp till i get my 160 internal temp. Using kingsford blue and some applewood smoke and apple juice and cider vineger spritzer. Then wrap to get 200 ish temp. Do you think this is a good game plan ? First time doing a butt. Thanks Jim

*Hey,..Whats up Brotha, VIDEO REQUEST PLEASE* I Need Your expertise on a Project cook I would like to do next week..I Want To REVERSE Sear some Steaks (On The Grillgrates® & the SLOW 'N SEAR, (Medium Rare To Medium) and also Slow Cook a SMOKED, Hickory WOOD, PORK BUTT ROAST, which you know would be a Slow 'N Low, 8+ hours Cook Time..So my Question Is, What Exact *Setup & Protocol* would you do To *Cook n Sear The Steaks* Then Setup & Protocol for the Pork Butt? *KEEP IN MIND, Its a SAME DAY COOK.* I Would Like to Start Early in the Morning, Say Around 5am or so, Then Proceed.Because You Know the Steaks will Cook Faster than The PORK Butt, So I'm Trying To Figure Out the right *Temp, Charcoal Setup* for the steaks, (Which would be to high for the Slow n Low Cook for The Pork butt and Vice Versa?? IYO What's The Right setup to cook them *BOTH, SEPARATELY* In A One day Cook, On The Weber Original Kettle 22' Premium, (Copper that is.) lol I Know its a Loaded Question, I'm a Beginner, I'm Just Trying To Learn. Thanks

Ok, let me see if I can figure this one out. Start with the pork butt. Fill the slow n sear. Add your wood chips. 275f pit temp. Give it the 4-5 hours or until it’s 165-170 internal. Wrap and take it to 205. Remove it and let it rest for an hour. In that rest time. Add more charcoal and add your steaks indirectly. Once they’re up to 120, fire up your coals and put the grillgrates over the coals. Grill the steaks to 130ish. By the time the steaks are done, your pork should be rested and ready to be pulled.

@@CjsQue AAAAAAAAAAMEN Brotha (High 5 handshake) lol Oh Ok, I thought I Had To Cook The Steaks first (Since they cook faster, but require more heat, that the Pork Butt, That's what gave me Conflicting Thoughts about the Cooking/Grilling Procedures.) Your Explanation Is Absolutely, Back By Science, logic, and your Expertise!!.OK, So I Should have my ThermoWorks SMOKE Thermometer Wednesday (of This Week) and Imma Give it and This a Try! Once again, Thanks My Good Fellow!!

I like this video but I would have wrapped them in pink paper instead of foil.. That's all I have to say... You will get much better results from the paper. You ask yourselves what makes me an expert.... I'm not but have done both ways and pink paper wins.... Also, I grew up watching my dad win bbq competitions and chili cook offs..
