If the body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, why would you introduce the temple with carcinogens? Why can't people smoke in the physical temple/building then? Its bad bad for other non-smokers but not for the smoker?
Why can't our judgmental charismatic brother who's 4 feet wide put down his fork instead of look down on fellow believers for their use of nicotine, caffeine, or alcohol in moderation!

Why do I hear only American preachers say this? I like Todd and his ministry a lot. But ig I disagree with him on this one. Didn't use much Scriptures on backing smoking etc. That's where it shows like he's a bit biased on this topic
@@Jericho-xs3ju The Bible doesn't say it's wrong to smoke weed in small quantities for recreational purposes. So can we? Rather than using unrelated examples like that, I'd say it'll be nice to give a verse that could be used as a general principle which backs up smoking. If so, then what to smoke and what not? How does the principle help in drawing the right boundaries?

Emanuel As much as I personally hate marijuana. Marijuana in itself is not a sin. And they are related example. 40000 people die a year in car crashes …. Sounds like none of us should be driving cars. You are taking a narcissistic view of what you want to be sin. If God does not address it why should we care If it is a personal conviction of yours don’t do it. I will never use marijuana. I hate the stuff. But the marijuana itself is not a sin. Read your Bible. Learn what sin is. Alcohol not a sin. Drunkenness maybe a sin. Smoking. Not even mentioned. Masterbation not even mentioned. Not remembering the sabbath ,,, that’s a sin Adultery that’s a sin. A man laying with a man. That’s a sin. Dancing not a sin poliginy not a sin Driving a car. Not even mentioned. God tells us what is sin. Other things are personal convictions. I don’t smoke cigarettes I don’t smoke marijuana I don’t even use prescription drugs I don’t eat McDonald’s but If I did would not be a sin. In itself. It’s how people pervert the Bible and our words to control people create thier own self righteous rules that deceive and push people away. Emmanuel The catagory of traveling? I have yet to find that category in the Bible Smoking is not ever mentioned in the Bible. So let me ask you this. If God does not mention it. Why does anyone care so much to try and make it a biblical issue ? Show me which law of God does it violate. Chapter verse please. It’s not there. I do not care for cigarettes at all. The reason I care about issues and similar issues is because calling things a sin that are not even sins is the same things that the Pharisees did by creating thier own laws and rules using thier interpretation of the law creating additional burdens on followers. Just because we don’t like something does not make it a sin. Is it un wise to abuse cigarettes alcohol food money ect,,,, yes. But it’s not punished by separation from God. They are not sins. In my opinion smoking is a sin, it stinks, and destroyed your body. It also stinks other people and they breath it in. Common man how can you say that? You have free will and theology, I have the Holy Spirit.
99gavriel Our opinions don’t matter. Only what Gods word states. And it does not violate any of his commands. There is a laundry list of “Christian” sins that aren’t even in scripture after they get done saying how we are not under law but under grace and ignore Gods commands that are actually in scripture but create those own. Drinking, smoking, rock music, m sterbation , Poliginy, swearing, dancing, jewelry, Over eating NOT going to corporate church , just to name a few. You can argue that many of these things are good or bad but they are not sins. Those that push these things are modern day Pharisees
McDonald's may be even worse, and a sin by your logic. Smoking generally takes decades of daily smoking, half to whole pack of cigarettes. Imagine doing that with McDonald's... Same with alcohol.
