Smooth lived a few blocks from me near Bedford Park in the BX back in the day. He had a wife and kids young so the all the wild stuff he did was away at night. Around the way he was the family man. Smooth seems to have gotten wilder with age because his kids are grown and he has tons of free time.
As Pac said it: "I don't understand how people can stand next to you one year, and next year, they cannot. They're going crazy, screaming. They can't take it that you're there. But last year I was in the same club, walking around, lonely like a motherfucker. Couldn't get a date or a dance. I was too skinny, too something, and now, "He's just adorable. He's just, oh!"
Prince's club was in downtown LA. It was called The Glam Slam. Everything was purple inside with nothing but naked people in statues. I know exactly what he's talking about.
@@reidbuecs8264 It was open to the public just like any other club. If was 20 dollars to get in. This is 1994! It just had big name artist there. I saw Outkast for the first time there. They performed the most of Southernplayalisticaddilacmusiz. I was a fan from that night forward until now.
Dude is so animated. I first saw him in an interview some years ago with Soren Baker's channell (Unique Access Ent.). Never knew he was so hype, as he is really laid back on :Sometimes I Rhyme Slow".
Nice and Smooth combined R&B vocals with Hip Hop lyrics and dressed fly. So I could see why Prince would Identify with them as artist. The starfish and coffee sample was cool! Love these stories, good job b high!
God bless Smooth B! My brother (god rest his soul) was a big nice and smooth fan. I always use his verse on DWYCK as an example to people how he influenced Snoop's style! I never knew he was so connected to God until recently. A true visionary can take you back to a scene damn near physically just by telling a story. Major props! Stay blessed my brother!
LONG LIVE HIP HOP ! This was classic... We had much more personality then they do today...Nothing like a black personality from the struggle, a hip hop personality.
That verse was actually fire. Lol It's crazy because I've never heard anyone say Pac would go to the club to cure writers block but I've been the same way. If not the club than any large gathering of Black ppl in any capacity always inspires me to write more
YOooo! Much Love n Respect Smooth B! Shoutout Greg Nice ❤️💯 that PAC sky’s the limit story be on the same energy level when Smooth met MJ with Bobby Brown
Real Talk, PAC was like that dude bump into PAC you gone smoke good, Glam Slam, Jamaican House, MAYAN all over LA, parking lot on the way into the spot.Smooth is telling it!!
