Former professional basketball player Smush Parker spoke candidly about an incident in 2014 when he reacted violently during a recreational basketball game, punching a high school-aged player in the face. According to Parker, the incident took place after the teenager intentionally injured him during play, causing Parker to fall head-first into the ground. Parker claimed he didn’t know the player's age since it was a men's league. He added that he didn't fight the player but just reacted to what happened. Parker dismissed speculations that he was violently taking out his frustrations or trying to gain recognition, implying the incident was misrepresented in the media. The former pro wealthily traveled the world playing in different basketball leagues and purposely didn't sign for longer than a year to experience various cultures.
