As much as I HATED the California heat, I really do miss the beauty of it all...I'm your true Canadian girl who loves the cold, and despises the heat, but the scenery of Cali really is one that you cannot find elsewhere. Especially in LA there is this beautiful connection between Urban living and Nature that you don't get the same feeling from in other places... I felt like there was this balance of concrete jungle and ocean where because of your proximity to the sea you can fully understand how temporary everything is, these material things get washed up so quickly- and this powerful beast has the potential to destroy you, yet sustain you, and you never know where you stand.... You just don't get that anywhere in Canada.
