It's funny at first but when you watch the show for years and see it happen all the time it loses its luster. Especially in recent years where it happens constantly because the writers intentionally try to make actors break character by inserting un-rehearsed lines into the cue cards. I think the funniest ond is the doctors sketch (they show a clip here where Molly Shannon and Will Ferrell are laughing but Chris Parnell isn't), the whole sketch was supposedly a deliberate attempt to try and make Parnell break character but he held it together while Shannon and Ferrell cracked up instead.

Steve Vento I agree, I actually stopped watching it about 2 years ago (after having watched it since the mid to late 80's) because it was just so lame. At the time (and maybe they still do this) they had decided that instead of writing actual funny sketches or jokes that all you had to do was parade out as many celebrities as you could in un-funny cameos. Every week there would be like 5-6 different cameos and none of them were funny, the punchline was just the fact that they were there.

Yeah, the music didn't bother me, but it was 50% louder than the dialog...pretty sure my neighbors will testify to that. All in all, still very funny.
