On that s.b. engine you need to remove the plates off the cylinder for cooling for summer use.

just need a new carb for a bit more power, and maybe an internal gov delete. A proper chain guide should help too, keep the vibrations down and keep it from throwing the chain or link. could have vibrated the master link loose, causing it to fall off.

Btw the reason why it was bogging is that those techumsea engines carbs are trash and cause them to bog, you should put a mikuni .22 carb and it should stop your bogging issue

Those tecumseh flatheads have loads of torque for their size. Just keep the oil full and try not to over rev it much. They have glass con rods and don't like being over revved

Turn the fuel screw all the way in then back it out 2 and a half turns ...that 10hp motor should start much easier than that

Wait it says on the side it used to have a 15.5 ho engine and he put a 10 hp engine I’m no engineer but did the other engine not run at high rpm’s and if it ran the same it seems more powerful
