Blood Dragon... what an 80's action packed fever dream, the fact that Michael Biehn voice the main character too! with a load of 80's movie references and slappin' synthwave soundtrack, man I really love this game. (shame that Ubisoft never make a proper sequel for this too, although there's Trials of the Blood Dragon but nah.

They've made some obnoxious "look at how funny we are" dlcs for far cry 5, which.. 1 one of them is actually decent (not in the cringy writing, gameplay wise) But yeah, this game was a blast with fine enough humor and self awareness of it's time.

This game came out three months after Colonial Marines, also starring Michael Biehn. It's easy to tell which one aged better. I think Blood Dragon and Black Flag were the last truly fun games Ubisoft made. After that it was mostly bugs, grind, microtransactions, collect-a-thons, NFTs and sexual abuse.

"80's vibes. The game" is basically an accurate summary of this game honestly, back when Far Cry expansion were so whacky and crazy that were pretty different from the main game even when they shared mechanics or animations

A possible reason why they were levitating is because you have to high frames. In Far cry 2 there was a similar glitch with people bouncing up and down and levitating. You need to cap the frames in some far cry games. Edit:spelling

If im not mistaken it only seems to happen when your framerate goes above 60, but it doesn't happen with 60fps and below.

It was a DLC for Far Cry 3 on PC aka steam however it is sold as a stand alone game. It's pretty fun indeed but still way shorter than a full Playthrough of the main game itself. But still a must have

Not even surprising to be honest. Blood Dragon was clearly made for fun more than profit. The devs said "Hey, we have all these Far Cry 3 assets, and the engine, just lying around. Why don't we make something fun?" You can tell, at least with AAA games, when the devs were actually enjoying working on a game, as opposed to just being there for a job.

Blood dragon is one of the few power trip games that still manages to make new powers and scenes feel huge. Youre already OP when you start, but then the final mission gives you an insane laser weapon that makes everything else before seem like chump stuff, and you cant imagine it could get any better. THEN YOU GET A CYBORG BLOOD DRAGON

I always wondered why they didn't include an Ithaca 37 Shotgun in this. Reese used one to fight a T-800 and Hicks used one to fight Xenomorphs so it would fit a Michael Biehn action hero better.

There is an achievement where you have to kill the Dragon using the bow. I used to damage him enough until he gets to critical health and I would try finish it off with the bow hitting it's weak spot. Is it hard? Kinda. Is it worth it? Not really

If you want to try Caving, try Weaseling first. It's basically squeezing through the gaps in rocks and boulders instead of getting stuck in a deep ass cave. It's a good way to find out if you're actually clostraphobic

Blood Dragon is still the best thing the Far Cry series has ever produced. Over the top stupid hilarious awesome action, writing that is cheesy and dumb on purpose as opposed to Far Cry's usual writing, and it's not padded as hell like the rest of the series. God what a fun experience.

I think one my favorite things about this game is the music in the helicopter minigun sequence where its plays long tall sally by little richard its one fo my fav songs and it fits really well somehow
