Ok so I was going to edit/cut this down this further but as far as I can tell neither the youtube algorithm nor you guys like watching me bash my head against puzzles like an idiot. So this is pretty much just a quick cut so that you have closure. This also has no ads cause I said no-no words and youtube doesn't like that. I have noted for future reference never to put puzzle games on the main channel.
Game Devs: “Yes, I’m sure that this well-designed apple puzzle will initially stump players and then gradually guide them to understand the unique powers of perspectiv-“ Jolly: *violently pulls fire alarm* “I did the puzzle!”
To give credit, I bet the developer would give Jolly credit for coming up with a different answer than he intended and seeing the puzzle from a different perspective. Kind of the message of the game.
i dont even remember being able to solve this puzzle. the whole game is memorable but this puzzle is a blur to me. I wonder why? edit: Man, I see he immediately solved the inflatable castle puzzle that I spent easily a half hour on.
Honestly that puzzle could stand to be modified a bit. If there were any other indicators that standing far away from the apple could give you a copy of it close to you it'd work way better.
@@marcusdaloia2974 Are you telling me I brut forced the puzzel as well ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-pIcU9Jtjx6U.html Figure it out here: 1:51:31
I have to say: i absolutely loved how you solved the Apple puzzle, in a game all about perspective, you took something that was there but wasnt mean to serve a purpose, and used it as a tool to solve a problem, even though it was "bruteforcing it", i think thats the greatest exponent of this games message
@@JohnUnsub seriously? You just stand in front of the pressure plate and align yourself with the apple as if it's on the plate. Badabing badaboom, you spawn the new apple right on the pressure plate. I'm more impressed by Jolly's solution though.
@@endig4501 spoiler alert for the real solution ahead You need to stand with the apple and the ledge with the button on it. That way the cloned apple spawns on the ledge, bypassing the fan.
I remember when Jolly was unfazed by any jumpscares or any horror scares. Like, he was built of platinum or shit. But now, he gets scared by a goddamn chess piece. What a character development.
When you're constantly worried about streaming and keeping up a constant train of thought going you've not got much room for fear. When.you get used to streaming and relax your ability to be scared comes back.
I like watching Jolly bang his head against walls in puzzle games. It's funny. This is good vid as a result, at least I'm guessing After watching the video, I can confirm: good vid
I feel the same way! Hopefully he will one day wander into the depths of Antichamber. I bet that would drive him slowly insane. But by finishing that game without guides he would show his fans that he ain’t that bad of a player like some are constantly suggesting.
It's kinda ironic, because if Einstein himself were there, he would be cavemen's Einstein. And if Jolly and Einstein were there together at the same time, cavepeople would have TWO Einsteins!
Actually apparently you can considering jolly used his knowledge of how the game was teaching him to solve puzzles previously to solve the apple puzzle in an unintended way 😂
*continues to click fire alarms non-stop as far as fire extinguishers and the "Diet Soda machine" don't know why but I actually enjoyed seeing him non-stop clicking on fire alarms, soda machines, doors, apples, and fire extinguishers...
Jolly's one brain cell doesn't always function, but when it does, it does the most creative, genius, and hilarious brute forcing of the one puzzle people had issue with.
Yo Jolly, I know this is all jokes, but I feel like joke itself sometimes can affect someone. So just remember you are not stupid person, you give us entertainment and we all respect you.
Genuinely appreciate your kind comments. I'm very rarely truely down on myself. I will point out my stupidity and make light of it but I can't stop myself making mistakes and being a bit slow so I roll with it.
@@JollyWangcore I will chime in that I really like your humour (like watching you go all giddy about some minor thing) and really respect edited content in general. One of My favorite things are also just the twitch comments. While as you say you play up the "monkey being thrown coins to dance" I really like your interactions with the chat
@@JollyWangcore i been following you since the start of the "text only youtuber" your humor its too good its like seeing my sister's son getting happy after getting through Sonic 1 Green hill act 1
@@JollyWangcore I really liked you since you started writing text rather than voice. There's always something that clings me to your videos no matter how boring the general game is. That sort of humor and the true nature of your personality just makes everything so much better
@@JollyWangcore this man is an amazing guy. He goes online and faces the critical and hurtful opinion of twitch chat all the time just to support himself, and he rolls with the punches while handling unimaginable stress. He is so incredbile and i appreciate that so much. Good on ya, lad.
It's not that you're bad at puzzles, you just take the Breath of the Wild approach: that is to say that you do things that no sane person would ever think to try, and on occasion, it works! You aren't stupid, you just have a brain that thinks so backwards and upside down that nobody else can comprehend it. That's the brain I subscribed to a few years ago, and it's the brain I stay for. Never change.
The horror level is my favorite because it confirms that this is taking place on a Sunday night (because you can see there’s beans being made after the horror aspect is gone, and Sunday is bean day - if it was about to be Sunday you’d probably still be thinking it’s still Saturday) This means that the protagonist is willing to do some weird sleep thing and possibly not get much sleep that night, which means they certainly don’t have anything to do that Monday morning, and likely are free all of Monday to catch up a bit on lost sleep. So they’re definitely out of high school, likely not attending college, and likely don’t work on Mondays None of this actually matters
@@souvikrc4499 very fitting for what the setting of the game is as well. to try something like what seems to be invasive sleep therapy, you’d have to be pretty damn lost in life
*"Now to never play another puzzle game every again. "* Are you sure about that Jolly? xD *"I have noted for future reference never to put puzzle games on the main channel. "* Awww that's sad, but ok Jolly. Guess this is the time to sub to Jolly other's channel if you haven't
I'm amazed he solved the darkness puzzle completely by accident. Like legit, he was supposed to make the light big enough to shine into the room, showing him a stack of boxes he could climb to get to the exit, but no. No he just stumbled upon the exit randomly. Amazing.
theres a difference though because on youtube you can cut the time way back, on twitch you're sitting there for extended periods of time watching him do it, thats what he's referring to. it works well for comedy on youtube, its tedious in a livestream, they dont work out the same on both platforms
"When you hear a knock on the one-sided door there is no point in opening it. It is just you" Jolly is the kind of person who would open the door anyway, just to spite the universe
It's nice watching Jolly ram head first into brick walls until it finally smashes. I don't know how he pulls all of these off, whether its sheer luck or him actually secretly being the smartest man in the world.
In the end it is all about the way you perceive things, what you thought was a severed head was a chess piece and the so called happiness everyone around you enjoys comes with the same amount of problems you have
Note about the morning alarm clock situation: Try putting your phone on the other side of the room (or the foot of your bed if the speakers aren't that good). That way, you have to get out of bed to turn off that annoying-ass alarm sound.
Well this was an experience. The deep special message totally shattered by solving problems via smashing your head a against a brick wall until the wall break. No change of perspective necessary.
I enjoyed both of these videos SO much, they were absolutely amazing to watch and watching you do stuff a little outside your usual stuff was super refreshing
"How many layers of dream are you on?" "About five or six, my dude." "You are like a little baby. Watch this." SPAMS FIRE ALARM SWITCHES UNTIL ONE LANDS ON THE BUTTON
Absolutely can't lie, seeing Jolly kick ass like this (and the last vid) in a mind-bending puzzle game makes me feel real stupid, but to my defence I never was the puzzle person although I do enjoy puzzles I don't need to spend hours on and make a deal with Devil. Take the 'HL1' (2 ?) custom mission/campaign for example, where he had to figure out how the floor teleports worked, where he showed his face for the 1st time and used paper+pen. That also was when I felt like stupid, but even then again to my defence I don't have the general motivation to figure something like that out. Not that I wouldn't be able to, I'd had used paper or something like Jolly did and I woulda cracked it eventually, I just can't be fucked to. So, hugely much thanks Jolly for playing these so I don't have to :D
There are some people for whom genius and idiocy are directly adjacent, for whom lateral thinking is so innate that they do not function like normal people - but will occasionally have flashes of clarifying genius that boggle the mind. Basically, no, Jolly is a brilliant idiot.
This video genuinely gave me a headache, I love you man, you make hilarious content but dear God. I personally don't know if I could take another video of jolly puzzles.
@@JollyWangcore hey dont beat yourself up though, I'd still totally watch you play puzzles in a less 'spot the difference' type game. Superliminal is also a particularly hard game to spectate as it is esoteric enough to make editing for the 'important' parts a nightmare. And lastly, that apple puzzle with the fans is bullshit, and your solution was way more creative/ entertaining than the intended one.
The thing is, from a psychological perspective to put it, the message was a new way to look at how we as a society handle things and could handle things, and this game is truly therapeutic and it even teaches about new ways to use psychology
I watched this 5 hour plus stream on twitch and lmao. I can not even imagine how difficult and how much time you must have spent editing. You did a great job cutting the length down and yet still kept in some of the best material.
Jolly is trying to make me just as sleep deprived as he was with these upload times. In all seriousness though I really am enjoying this new upload schedule. Keep up the good work Jolly.
Didn't realize that i just watched an hour and a half of a man who's not the sharpest tool in the shed play a game with deep meaning, all as he breaks all the puzzles by using duplicating fire alarm switches. Absolutely amazing
That part about Jolly mixing up JFK and MLK was so funny to me for some reason, maybe it's because I just did an essay on MLK's 'Stride Toward Freedom' speech.
More puzzle games! we like watching your koala brain figure out puzzles! (Fun Animal Facts: Koalas have pretty much the smoothes brain of any animal if we discount Jolly)
I love it when you play games :) if i could recommend one that can be enjoyed in the same way it would be: journey (chill) abzuu (chill) observer (slight horror with detective work) inside (sequel to limbo) (horror) layers of fear (horror) half life 2: downfall (i remember this as not bad) half life 2: year long alarm (not bad either i guess) half life caged (didnt you play this already? couldnt find it) continue half life blue shift and play the mods you originally wanted to play ;P Valley (i dont know if thats streamable lol. maybe its a cute game to play off stream) devolverland expo (is supposedly good) saints row the third (demotenization simulator unfortunately) after all these half life 1 mods you played these games could restore a bit of normality ;P
What a journey that was. Ups and downs of Jolly understanding the puzzle, and not understanding the puzzle. Even -breaking it- doing it the way it was definitely intended. This is has been two hours of my life well spent. Actually the length of the two videos combined is 7191 seconds, which is 9 seconds less than exactly 2 hours. I should stop writing now. I hope you have a good day. Sweet dreams.
