yeah, Just watched some leaked bo6 gameplay here - /watch?v=dntss6SkN8E and bro this map looks NOTHING like a typical Treyarch map. Treyarch never made maps like this one with 850 appartments which looks like an ant farm or a maze. This is a typical IW or SH map, which plays like clusterf*. One thing with 3arc was consistent in that their maps had good flow and layout, they didnt have that maze layout. Now it seems like sadly it is a thing of past with consistently good or solid maps. Now they make the same abysmal ant farm maps, that introduce more randomness and clusterf* and have no flow to them.

Removing SBMM isn’t the answer. It needs a MAJOR overhaul to work as it should. It needs to be toned down and not as drastic. XDefiant is just as sweaty with zero SBMM. CoDs issue is you either play against bots or the top 10% ultra sweats and hackers. There is no in between. We need that in between.

Don't forget about SM2 team as well

I don't like Battle Royale, but blackballing Warzone 1 was bogus. Warzone 1 saved Call of Duty. Modern Warfare 2019 was the lowest point in Cod history, since 2006. Then they release Warzone 1 in 2020. Warzone 1 put Call of Duty back on the map. They were getting bodied by Fortnite.

My goodness man, the unlock system in Cold War was SOOOOOO tedious. One of the worst I think I've ever seen in a COD game. All of the little annoying challenges and 70 weapon levels, etc. Just horrible.

The leaks are from a jail broken PS4 version. The textures and everything that would make the game look good aren’t present in the videos because of that. Not to mention, that’s only launch content. Either way, I’m probably gonna mostly play zombies anyways.

You’re not alone. It happens to high level players. I know that sounds dumb but it’s true. You’re supposed to “ balance “ the team full of shitters. Problem is your usually against 3-4 psycho sweats or cheaters that make it feel really bad. It’s a very stupid match making system.

@mrdark601 it’s very strange. Example I played 4 cod games to test this out recently. 10 games of domination here is how I went. MW19: 9-3 did very well, was top 1-3 of leader board every game. 1.4 KD Coldwar :6-4 did very well every game. Average 1-2 top. 1.6 KD MW22 : 8-2 - I was number 1 almost every game. High kd. 1.8 MW23: 0-10 I was top of my leader board half the time but mostly got trashed averaging only 1.0 KD or less. I did earn alot of kills though. Very strange cod. I’m not kidding lol this game is very off.

That is because no one is playing that piece of crap any more. The match making ( which probably still takes ages ) has to make a lobby within a certain amount of time. That's why it looks like the SBMM is toned down.

The new mechanics wouldn’t be bad if the sbmm wasn’t so shitty they literally put skill level over ping meaning if your good you get laggy lobbies kinda hard to play competitively when your lagging

Activsion forced treyarch to implement a new engine and BR less than a year before bo4 release. Activsion forced treyarch to turn a giant pile of steaming crap that sledgehammer made into Cold War and they had to do it during Covid lockdowns. On top of this, Cold War got good reception. Also, bo4 had a really shit lead developer. Good thing treyarch got rid of him. Treyarch hasn’t been out of touch. Activsion, sledgehammer, and infinity ward is out of touch.

​​@@elg7365 and to show you that more is not good in the case of cod, the older games are loved, not because they have good movement mechanics, hell, some of them feel clunky at times (the classic mw2 is an example, your character moves at a slow pace, and feels like a real guy), but because they were simple and still felt unique, a thing that new CoD doesnt because of the bundles and weird art style decisions in recent cods (mwiii is a perfect example, the game started more like a "remaster" of the og mw2 with "better" aka more advanced movement (wich creates another problem -the older maps dont work well with the new movement, as they were not designed with it in mind), then they added weird bundles and skins, then they added zombies inspired mp maps, then they added pixelated shiii, and we get a game that doesnt know what it is trying to be...)

And yes desert dave was the last reasonable head dev to leave cod behind as a developer. He's the goat that knew how to make something good out of literal shit nd next to no development time for a game

What are the main things that makes COD zombies the most fun/interesting game mode (besides the gameplay, story, and music)? The modding tools, and the modding community. Maybe BO6 will get mod tools, since it's on Steam and BO3 has mod tools on Steam and Steam Workshop support. WAW has mod tools, too. BO6 should get mod tools. It probably won't, but it should. The game will live longer with decent mod tools and be more fun.
