As much as I would choose to have my hair back if given the choice, stepping into balding and shaving my head was I think the best thing I could do when I noticed thinning. My primary concern was it having a adverse effect on my life opportunities and dating life. I can't say how things would have been with my hair but they not been at all bad without it. Cliched I know but I did get heavily into fitness to offset the negatives that I anticipated. But having put in this work, I have to say that things are no worse than they were before. So ultimately I can't complain.
That's great to hear that shaving your head worked for you mate. It worked for me too when I started to thin at my crown. Balding also spurned a self-improvement journey in myself, I think its a natural part of the process as you realise how much false confidence your hair was giving you previously and you need to improve in other areas. Keep on succeeding brother, and thanks for sharing your story.
I'm not bald but I see it as a natural part of being a man, balding is likely to happen to most of us. If not then we'll go grey or get white hair. If I see a fat person I naturally judge them as being lazy, undisciplined or depressed if they seem able bodied. Balding I usually just think hereditary, or they've been under a lot of stress, high testosterone or nutrient deficiency.
Yes it is 100% natural part of being a man. This has been accepted for all of history but only in the last few decades has it become many men try to fight against rather than accept. You're right that it is no different in going grey as you age. Balding is almost completely hereditary.
@@mikebald1 It is not part of aging otherwise there would not be 20 year olds with baldness and 90 year olds with all their hair. It has never been accepted so much so that wigs are hundreds of years old. It is simply a pathology for which an affordable and definitive solution must be found. Unfortunately this solution does not exist yet. Continuing to claim that it is normal will not make it come any faster but on the contrary, in decades, we will still be here with finasteride, minoxidil and transplants that do not solve anything except the profit of those who do them.
@@spencergregory8049 He has big temple recession so, for norwood scale, yes, he’s technically balding. Like 90% of male population. Personally I define balding when you start to lose head’s vertex.
Yes mate I am, the main area of recession is at my crown where it is considerably thin. You can’t see it that much on this video but you can on other videos on my channel
@@mikebald1the crown doesn’t really get permanently bald. It can be completely revived 5ar suppressors like finasteride and stimulants like minoxidil Mirs the hairline which goes away permanently. you can get the crown back in a few months
I don’t think that’s correct brother, the hair on your crown can thin just the same as your hairline. It’s all just based on genetics as to which part goes bald first. For example, if I was to start taking medication now, there’s no way that my hair would grow back as it was
