Other Adjustments Single-Minded Fury no longer increases damage dealt but now increases movement speed by 15% (up from 10%) and reduces threat generated by the Warrior by 10%. Blood Frenzy has been redesigned. Now increases rend damage by 100% and causes Rend to gain increased damage equal to 3% of attack power per tick, and Rend may be used in any stance. Flagellation has been redesigned. Now causes the Warrior to gain Rage from physical damage taken as the warrior was wearing no armor. Rampage has been redesigned. Now instantly increases the Warrior’s attack power by 10% for 30 seconds and no longer stacks or costs rage to activate. Requires being enraged. 2 minute cooldown. Wrecking Crew now causes an enrage effect that lasts 10 seconds and increases damage done by Mortal Strike, Bloodthirst, and Shield slam by 10%. The threat reduction in Gladiator Stance is now 30% (was 10%) Consumed by Rage now activates when exceeding 60 rage and now always lasts 12 seconds regardless of the number of attacks, but no longer grants a damage bonus. The Booming Voice talent now increases Battle Shout duration by 30/60/90/120/150% and reduces its rage cost by 20/40/60/80/100%. Commanding Shout’s rage cost was removed and its duration was increased to 5 minutes. Recklessness now increases critical strike chance by 50% (was 100%) and the duration is reduces to 12 seconds, but the cooldown is reduced to 5 minutes. Retaliation and Shield Wall have had their cooldowns reduced to 5 minutes (was 30 minutes). A new baseline ability has been added from a skill book: Meat Hook Throw out a hooked chain to restrain the target and pull them towards you. Costs 15 rage, 30 yard range, and has a 35 second cooldown. This may not be used on enemies more than 1 level above the Warrior or which are marked as “boss” enemies.

Warrior is #1 class with alot shit modified runes in SoD phase 4 Idk why they are realy hate warrior so much?

Warrior is the best scaling class in classic and SoD. However, it is also the weakest class with bad/medium gear/buffs/raid composition. Example: I played with my dw fury war with 3 world buffs (DMF, Songflower, ST), mongoose elixir, str elixir and even got a WF totem in my party. I struggled to do 700 dps on bosses. Example 2: I played with my ele shammy with ST buff and consumes equal to my warrior's, no particular raid setup and did 800+ dps on bosses without breaking a sweat. Conclusion: I do think that warrior might have the strongest dps in raids, WHEN they have chugged every consumable in the game, got every buff in the game, has the perfect raid composition and the boss has every single debuff in the game. However, this only applies to 1% of guilds and not the casual players. For casual players, warriors are super weak right now. Furthermore, if you want to look at the current statistics, warrior has the highest minimum to maximum gap in the game right now, while still being beaten by rogues and enh shamans: sod.warcraftlogs.com/zone/statistics/2009

hi david - i believe it's mainly this change "Melee Specialist no longer reduces the base cooldown on Mongoose Bite and Raptor Strike. The rune now also causes Mongoose Bite to have a 30% chance to reset the cooldown on Raptor Strike." - and they didn't give you much to make up for it

Well so far I’ve got 1200 darkmoon tickets for the epic neck. I’ve got my rank 7 level 60 gear enchanted and the AB & wsg gear sitting in my bank waiting to be equipped. I’ve got 30 prequests, 99 commendations and 20 marks of honor for ab & wsg with some additional silver coins in the bank just in case we can buy more commendations and after popping ours on Tuesday prior to the launch. I’ve also got timbermaw exalted and argent dawn honored. Last but not least, I’ve got 3k gold. All that I can think of now is to farm gold, but maybe there’s something else I could prep. Any thoughts?

hmm...you can do exactly what you did in 2019 but now everyone else does 1.5k dps. i do beleive it will be good though

@@NOHITJEROME just 300-500+ dps was a thing in vanilla and 800-1,100+ was the Classic Standard with buffs? Been tanking in SoD so I dunno.

Fire is going to clap with overheat and will be the best mage spec so by all means, toss them fireballs. Unless they change the bosses resistances in SoD, Onyxia and near half of them in MC and BWL are immune to fire though so it forces you to branch out to other specs. The 4 set rewards you here for trying cross spec rune options and there are many to play with. As far as I'm seeing as well, it has no cap so the longer the boss fight the higher you could scale and that seems wild.

Don't forget that Mindfang, the AB caster dagger is "one-handed", and ELE can dual wield.

@@Levelity fresh 60 with brilliant wizard oil will be walking around with at least 216 spell damage from weapons.

@@Levelity aslong there is no similar princess dagger, every other weapon option is not be gonna used in a fast paced raid. and + % crit chance sucks anyway on ele shamans

yeah i'm with you on that, they seem dead set on priest being support where rogues, warriors, they have very clear roles that are never support based really. it may be the wrong direction to go but at least you will have a raid spot

Exactly , I know VT will be liked from healers and mages but all over again we becoming even more utility spec instead of being dps spec. Priest have only 1 way to DPS and thats with Shadow tree.

spriest pvp will be even more broken with the rune changes and racial changes, it feels impossible to balance fully

my fear as a healer is that spriest will be so valuable and their offhealing will be enough to carry dungeons so the meta will be 1 tank 2 dps 1 spriest, bad for me and bad spriests that hate offhealing lol

hmm sudden death may end up being stronger, i just see flat damage increases (even if they aren't 100% uptime) and i see warriors getting a lot especially with wbs

@@NOHITJEROME Sudden death Is a large chunk of my DPS on the PTR while testing. Around 25% of my damage is from executes. It procs a lot and max crits for 4k. But in the end you can never really say for certain with warriors until tried with world buffs. But i'm fairly certain it will be the rune to go with for both arms and fury.

@@wowdadgaming I've tried multiple specs and sudden death comes out on every time. The only problem with it is it can leave you rage starved but with buffs in a raid environment that wont be an issue!

@@HermanJonsson Yeah that's what I was seeing on my limited testing the other day. I was really accustomed to the sudden death proc from later expos where it is capped at 30 rage use. Should be fun to see how it pans out though.

hi martin, I think your sudden death take is correct for now, but we'll see because I always see flat damage runes as being king for warrior. ferals/rogues right now are 100% positioned better than warriors and for now there is no point playing war compared to stacking feral or rogue. but i think blizz agrees with you and warriors will get more changes soon.

sod is really good, im not really looking to complain or trash the news. i'm glad you have had a great experience with it. i just wanted to bring up the business model of stacking all the content at once, is it the best possible way to do things?

@@NOHITJEROME they chose the wrong class imo. If tomorrow they made spriest and ret top dps there would be almost no reason to bring true dps. If priest did warriors damage and healed for 30% of that while also insta max sunder, thunder clap, demo, kicks and curses, off/def dispels on top of all the raid buffs. The optimal raid group turns into 1 ret tank 1 hpal 1 dps mage 1 feral druid 16priests… Edit: if they sacrifice 80-90% of their utility for damage sure I can get behind that but still would require them to de-couple pve and pvp damage in some way

One way to lower warrior DPS would be a mobile boss fight ex: Heigan dance.

Plus the new rune after using shadow burn next spell is 100% crit so chaos bolt boom! Destro warlock is coming back big in pvp. Coil into shadow burn into chaos bolt cya later

@@NOHITJEROME yes, watching your stacks build of raptor fury and crossing your fingers it'll proc and reset so you can get some raptors off with 5 stacks is a lot of fun. Cata survival hunter rotation, which is ranged hunter is sod, is simply not appealing. Melee hunter was a fun spin on hunter that they forced us to play in phase 2, and then we switch to it and they gut it.

hmm...one argument for swipe is that the packs so far in sod have been pretty small, generally not like 10+ mobs. so swipe might be stronger than it seems

SOD is doomed! After testing on the PTR, PVP testing since that's where I personally get a good feel of game balance as PVE content in classic is spamming one button and consuming. The devs clearly have no idea what they are doing. It looks like they theory craft at a table hi five each other them implement it with zero testing done themselves. Mages - S+ tier - Insane healing, Insane Mobility, insane disruption (roots/cc/silence/slows) overkill on all fronts leaving no weakness moving away from any classic fundamentals in terms of scissor paper rock counter play. Shaman - S+++++++ tier - This one is just embarrassing to watch. Over Tuned on every front. Beyond Tanky, Earthshield out healing hard casted spells, root clean, sprint, pet stun, slows, insane heals, insane burst, insane dot dmg no counter play, just laughable. Rogue - S tier - Insane Dmg/CD reliant survivability - standard Rogue things. Paladin A tier - Feral/Boomy - A tier - These classes are decent, they feel like vanilla+ content, potential great scaling with item upgrades and set bonus's. The rest - Hunter/Warlock - B tier - These two just showcase how lost the devs are. The biggest L i've ever seen, Warrior - F tier - I feel so sadge for anyone who plays a warrior. The vanilla classic wow we all love that was created by passionate fellow nerds who created a world where they could not only fit into but thrive can not be recreated. SOD is so far from it. Classic Fresh seems to me like the best option.

what job would i be qualified for rip

right now boomkins seem god tier. i'll do a lot of duels this week and see what looks strong

i think we'll see enhance changes/buffs soon, it's one of the most popular specs they can't leave it to rot

@@TankingPriestVideos i agree but seems to smashed feral is insane right now and in future gets better due to wild strikes being % increase.

Lol enh was like the top tank p1 and you could just dual wield tank then p2 and 3 were awesome tanks and dps I think they are just fine where they have been. I play that and a boomkin although I mainly play the boom and used the shaman for a fill for another group in our guild if needed.
