When i visited the Tortugas in 1975 the Coast Guard was still manning the lighthouse on Loggerhead Key. They were very nice and allowed my family to climb the stairs inside the lighthouse. We got a personally guided tour of the fort by a very nice female park ranger. Very few boats were there and i think the personnel were happy to have someone to talk to.

Air condition is very nice in a cabin boat you should look into the Rain Man it makes fresh water from pretty much any source the way I understand salt water or fresh water the only thing you can't run through it is tap water it's a relatively small unit and it would replenish your water supply within an hour or so good video buddy stay safe out there

Found your channel searching for something else. Loving your videos. I grew up going to the keys my entire life, we had a house on Big Pine, but I never went to the Dry Tortugas. I hope make the trip someday soon with my children now.

Did you open up your live tank when the rain came down to fill all the way up? As you know captain you can collect the rain water and filter it and drink it if you have to This does great on long passages. Looks like a great place to be at for some time with all that great history and just beautiful landscaping. You have a great boat and you thought out what you really need to survive and do it comfortable very nice. As always great job captain Safe Navigating

tip: Use like 30/40lb test for the weight, that way if it gets hung up while fighting fish, it will break and might still land the fish.

I sub to 95 channels amd this is my favorite #1. I do a different type of boating, but this inspires me and sheer enjoyment to watch. One question...what is the BTU on your AC unit and watts used. Like you mentioned I was trying to estimate how many watts are used with the 3 compressors going...and someone else already asked thr generators wattage (2500) keep up the good work...I'm always eagerly awaiting the next vid.

I really just want the door and frame…not the tackle holder part. Very nice trip. Next time, would you be willing to do a trip out to Pulley Ridge? It’s a deep water reef system in the Gulf of Mexico further west of the Dry Tortugas, but I am not sure if your boat would have enough gas to head out there. Although I’ve seen another RU-vid channel that went there with a 21 or 23 ft Panga!!!! So you might wish to check it out.

Oh and also you need a anchor light highest point on boat white 360 degree view 2 nm miles distance, I thought I saw one on roof top, maybe not.
