It was another week filled with McMahon family drama with Vince McMahon IN as the Executive Chairman of the WWE Board and Stephanie McMahon OUT, resigning as Co-CEO of the company just days after telling employees there would be no management changes. Things went down like this Vince pushed Stephanie out the first time and somebody close to him leaked the memo about her being difficult to work with Somebody close to Stephanie leaked the NDAs to push Vince out and ease Triple H in as head of creative Then Vince came back and Stephanie went out on her own after the board she was the CEO of voted unanimously against Vince being back This is basically their 2003 feud becoming real life heat with Triple H being the man in the middle

People forget Mad Kings rarely give up their power voluntary. Vince always planned on coming back and this time he is cleaning house. Triple H can forget succeeding and taking control of the company. It will never happen and Vince will never sell the company if he can't remain as Executive chairmen or position in power. I give it 3 months before Vince oust everyone that wanted him to step down and takes back creative control. Triple H will be back at NXT by the summer.

Why stop there?? If that IS how Vince is thinking, he doesn't want Triple H anywhere near his business, WWE, NXT, WCW or 205 Live. Trips is gonna relax, start his own promotion, get involved with MMA... Shane is probably somewhere saying "I told you so" but a year ago if you said Vince would be kicked out, get accused of shit, come back and start throwing his weight around so much Steph had to leave...I wouldn't believe you. Who knows where this goes in the next 6-9 months

This news is not a great long term position for WWE. All the statements and tweets are engineered to be very positive, narrative-creating and smooth-transitioning. We can only speculate as to why Stephanie would outright quit. The probability that she was paramount in saying that Vince coming back into the company is bad business and optics, and power-moved his way into the boardroom anyway... I understand stocks went up in the face of a potential sale of the company, but knowing Vince, he's trying to structure it so he still maintains control within it, just that he's got other people's money to do what he thinks is necessary. As soon as I heard Vince wanted back in citing he got "bad advice" from counsel and felt coerced into stepping down, the entire time he's been away, he's been working on a way to secure himself a way back, and a seat of perpetual control, regardless of ownership. WWE is doomed to fail in this man's trust. Whoever can, are trying to secure ways to benefit themselves before it all comes crumbling down around their feet. It's sad, but I think this dog won't hunt for long anymore and nobody has the power to take it behind the shed and put it out of its misery so long as the dog guards the gun and the bullets.

I think Stephanie resigned because she probably found out Nick Khan and Vince McMahon had been plotting to sell the company, during Vince's retirement. Vince did promised Nick Khan that he'll receive a big payday if he help him negotiate a deal with potential buyers. Stephanie felt betrayed by Nick Khan. Both Vince and Nick Khan did it behind her back.

@@redmackarel10 It still doesn't make sense. Why would Nick Khan agreed with Vince McMahon to sell WWE when the product was doing so much better when Vince was gone? I believed this is not about selling the company, it's more about Vince McMahon wanted full control of his company. And it's kinda weird that Steph left WWE before Vince's sexual allegations came out, then Vince brought her back as the Interm CEO. Finally when Vince announced his retirement, she and Nick Khan were declared Co-CEOs. Then later when Vince returned and put himself as the executive board of the director position, Steph decided to resigned. So there is something going on that she probably disapproved of her father's new changes.
