Sense called herself a pacifist to contrast herself against Genau because he designed the last exam in such a way that practically encouraged people to fight each other, plus he had no issue with test-takers dying. Sense doesn't want the test-takers to die, but I guess she makes up for that by being ridiculously strict in how hard her exams are

I love the part where himmel asks the chef to make sure the flavour never changes as the reward for getting the chef's heirloom knife. You can tell himmel made that request for frieren, and her surprised face after that is priceless. Feel sad for himmel cuz he always looks bittersweet :')

I don't think Stark missed them enough to be miserable without them. Sure, maybe he was a bit empty, but he was using his time to do whatever he wanted. He wasn't waiting by the front door or anything for them to return. Perhaps he was more worried about them returning than anything. He knew that Fern wouldn't like what he's doing. XD

Did no one realize that Fern is basically acting like a mom towards Freiren and Stark ? I know my mom will scold me for staying up all night or drink/eat sweet stuff at night or wake up late , hahahaha ~ And if you think about Fern situation while she was a kid , it makes sense why she's like that In early Episode you can se her doing cooking , chores and try to take care of Heiter , she's trying to proving Heiter that it'll be okay "I'm grow up already" so that Heiter can rest easy . And all of that is what makes Fern who she is , a "mom" that also kind of childish

Being able to find a counter to Serie's barrier is a great achievement, but proves nothing about relative strenght.

There’s also how Serie trained Flamme, who trained Frieren, so it’s clear Serie has been alive for considerably longer time than Frieren, to the point of being called a living encyclopedia of grimores. Her knowledge of magic is likely higher than anyone else in the world, by a huge margin.

Not necessarily true, as we find out that ancient Demons exist, which are probably as old, if not older then Serie herself. Serie is the alfa and omega of human magic though, but magic in general? Its still up in the air. @@dollmaker6599

I feel like breaking the barrier is like picking a lock. Most people would find a barrier made by Serie to be way too complex to even try. But Frieren is familiar with the barriers Flamme and Serie have made, so she knows where to start analyzing it and finding its weak spots. Definitely an achievement though. They probably should just make her a first class mage for that feat alone. I do wonder if Frieren can make that sort of barrier though, we know Flamme could, and I'd assume she taught it to Frieren.

frieren doesnt really need 1st class. shes same title with Serie and Flamme a Great Mage. shes just zero idea what her holy wand emblem really means lol.

She's basically going after a title another great mage recently made up which is ridiculous but necessitated by the new requirement of having first-class mages around to venture into new areas. Frieren really goes by the rules, lol.

This ep was so wonderful..!🙂 15:51 That woman methode looks like she could be a problem. i think Stark deserves to have a relaxing days, considering stark unintentionally made fern mad.( is that the right way to put it..?) Anyhow I like how everyone days off went.. 🙂 especially 12:14 I think I ship kanne x lawine😊 or I could be wrong...(its was nice to see lawine family) Its was so nice to see frerein group and denken group eating at the same restaurant. Like others have said, I don't think being able to break the barrier is any sort of indication of frieren's power level compared to Serie, so I'd hold my judgment on that for later...

I think Frieren is often so tired because of the mana suppression. Think about it she is using this spell for eternity, has a trementous amount of mana. Also she lived in lonelyness for hundreds of years. I think her time cycle isnt only influenced because she is an elf, but because of her lifestyle. You know how hard old habits are to break. I think mana suppression is easier for Fern because she is born with natural suppression. She was born with this talent allready and is a genius.

Ubel - literally did ANYTHING to anyone of the main group - "i can empathize with people and use their spells" Everyone: "wow that's pretty cool 😲" This girl: "ugh i don't like her at all, she's scary" Honestly 😂 i'm kinda done with her at this point. She just hate characters for the dumbest reasons. She can't appreciate characters that she can't trust and / or MIGHT be a problem in the future. Judging character by what they possibly or not do is way over the top.

No, out of any reason to hate any character, the distrust towards Ubel is the only legit one lmao. She's literally a dark empath, you can like her because goth GF or I can fix her memes, but don't shit on people who are creeped out by her either. I saw one reactor who said Kanne was annoying shit and deserved to die, now thats uncalled for even if it's half true.

I didn't say it made her good tho, i just said that you ignore A WHOLE NEW COOL POWER just bc you don't like the character. You ignore their design, powers, relationships, ideals....everythng just bc you can't like the character. Let me ask you: you dislike every character in any anime that is a killer? Ubel didn't do anything to anyone here, and no one can tell me otherwise, cause that's true🤷‍♂

@@JoshuaGrimes-dz4wy oh I love Ubel. I just wanted to put a counter point. I kinda forgot about her powers until this episode. It's unique, but it feels kinda like a priests power. Where they don't know how it works but use it through faith or something. I know the reactor is so suspicious of her but I think it's fair is all. Also she is a more emotional reactor compared to few others, which I like but it means sometimes her opinions might not be sound.
