Sometimes, We Just Need To Hush 

"Be still and know He is God" can mean not only not moving, it can also mean not talking, as well.
When folks put your name in their mouth, whether it be truth or lie, ask God a question. Ask, "Yo, Daddy, you want me to handle it or You got this?" If He says, "I got this", that means we need to tap in to ALLLLLL the self control we can muster up to help us keep our mouth closed whenever we hear any news of that verbal spreading of our name.
What has helped me when that has happened is to take a deep breath and tell myself, "Lord, I trust you. This is hard. I want to slap somebody. But I trust you." Try that.
