I don't know why they removed some of these things. Auto Demo at Dawn looked so inspiring in the auto demo with the underground triangle plaza. I find Beta at Dawn to be more charming, same for Beta Windy Valley. Both so relaxing and chill and very inspired and beautiful.

@@lanadampkite2423 I think it’s like a 6 or 7/10 game. I remember being hype for the release of the game and kinda being let down by the first stage. I would say I did enjoy my first playthrough and even wanted to 100% the game after, but I’d be lying if I said I was having a blast from start to end. My main gripes stem from the classic sonic controls, but I’d say other than that I’d go back and play it again. If you like the game there’s nothing wrong with that man, even I think it’s pretty cool w a bunch of the ideas they threw in. Have you tried Frontiers yet?
I’ve been waiting for this! Great job Cifsek! I still hope we one day get that mythical Sega Saturn build of Adventure, that’s essentially a holy grail. Right up there with the TGS Sonic 1 prototype.
One neat detail is that the loading screen jingle for the Eggcarrier actually does get used in the cutscene where it transforms between its two different modes.

Amazing video! Also there's one thing I want to point out that Cream The Rabbit made a cameo in SADX, You can see her flying around the Station Square in a moment. (That's the only good thing on DX version imo)
@@Cifesk research actually suggests that Sonic Jam was made from everything that they had been working on up to that point, it’s likely that that is a Dreamcast build but just everything they made ported to they Dreamcast raw saturn

I Always Dreamed of remastering Sonic adventure because it my first game on my ps3 i was born in 2005 and i got my ps3 in 2010 i was a kid and i used to enjoy this game a lot and like i Said to remaster it but i didn't know about what content they removed know since i know everything i Can now make the game from the ground with all cut content and beta things thank you
You know, for a "directors cut" it really doesn't add crap that was unused, i hope whoever named the port that has a good day but was also fired from sega/sonic team.
One thing I can say is for comparisons you should have used actual Dreamcast footage for the final because with stuff like emerald coast you can see with the “final footage” it is just the SADX water mod unlike making it accurate to the Dreamcast version but this is still a cool video
Yo I got two extra trivia facts for you- Right so everyone always talks about how "PERFECT CHAOS KILLED THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE IN THAT TRANSFORMATION CUTSCENE!!" but if you start Super Sonic's story and immediately go to Station Square instead of Angel Island, and you start talking to people, it's heavily implied that the vast majority of people in Station Square fled the city either during or following Eggman's missile scare, leaving very few people in the city [despite what the pre-rendered transformation cutscene would have you believe] Another one is that we have never seen Chaos 0 in his true, full form, either in Sonic Adventure or any of his other official appearances. During Big's story, we learn that when the Master Emerald was shattered, for some reason Chaos' tail went off on it's own, and possessed Froggy so it could bring Chaos the yellow Emerald. But, at no point during the story when Chaos 0 should have his tail, do we see him with it. Both during Tikal's memories of the past, and during the ending before Tikal and Chaos a s c e n d , Chaos still uses that model of him that just has the little cut off nub of a tail, almost like a baby Chao's tail. Based on what Froggy looks like when possessed with the tail, and how Chaos' form changes when he absorbs the tail in his Chaos 6 form, we can figure out that the tail itself has the shape of sort of a lizard tail, smooth and thin and tapering off, before becoming diamond shaped on the end.
I was just thinking this. Its pretty common in games with multiple playable characters to use a common "character" class that other specific characters build off of, and since the character class already exists as a sort of template you usually end up using it for cinematic characters too since it means that cutscene designers can program all the characters in the same manner.
Sonic Adventure is not my favorite Sonic game although I like it a lot, but as years pass... I get to appreciate it far more. As things like Mario Bros 3, Megaman X4, COD Modern Warfare, Metroid Prime, TLOU 1, those games were a next gen game or a last breathing of a console, you can see how well made are, some were so ambitious that some qualities didn't return in their sequels, only the first impression threw it all away. And Sonic Adventure 1 did it too, just the beta shows how many things were done, planned and removed, I think Sonic 06 coul have been just like this if things didn't went that wrong. The Sonic Adventure BETA mod is one of the most beautiful things I seen around Sonic, feels closer like an ultimate SA1 but also like a leaked game like nowadays use to happen.

If I am not mistaken Twinkle Cart music was used in the official release of Sonic 3D Blast, it was used in Panic Puppet Act 1 of Sonic 3D Blast. Unless that's a different version.

Yout know with Adventure DX being on steam i actually did Dind a lot of the stuff like the old Character select screen by complete accident while trying to play the Game gear games exclusive to that version and something breaks and the game just booted me there. The resolution was all fucked up but it was mostly all functional. Even game those unused tutorial pop ups. Granted the game would crash after but they WERE working.
