Word of advice, swap to easy mode for these challenges. Ik that gets rid of the “challenge” but really if you wanna get the spin dash fast it’s the best way. Get max boost and you get points just from boosting
I have to say, seeing the spindash again after so long feels great, and I hope they will keep it from now on It's nice to see this game and Origins being supported this much, usually other Sonic games just get a few minor updates and get abandoned after like,6 months? And the best part is,we still have yet to see what update 3 will bring to the table, and from the leaks I've seen,it looks like it's going to be a lot
Update 3 will bring new characters and story update. I believe Kishimoto is improving The End Boss along with Tails, Amy and Knuckles. I can only hope that they might add in Super Sonic and more enemies as a secret and thank you.
@@1DAR26 They might also add the drift in sense they said they originally didn't have enough time to implement it correctly. So it'd make sense given they added the spindash back in the game and it was orginally supposed to be in the game as well. Probably make it so if you boost the spindash button or key/tab becomes the drift button so everything gets a use.
For this it's mostly finding the best route for enemy kills and grinding and wall runs for massive point bonuses for the goal scores of anywhere between 300k to 700k points.
I love the spin dash but you have to do this multiple times for it to work on different saves. I’ve maxed out sonic and there is no way to lower his stats.
Should have been in the Skill Tree ....well actually it should have been unlocked from the start, but if they absolutely needed it to be an unlockable, it shouldve been in the Skill Tree
It basically renders most movement options in the game obsolete and breaks a lot of the level design, making it more of an end/postgame move. With that in mind, why do you think it should have been unlocked from the start or int he skill tree?
@@sevensvn5391 To use an overblown example, imagine in the next 3D Mario game, Nintendo locked the ability to kill with jumping behind getting 100%. It's silly to lock away a characters trademark ability behind a repetitive wall. Especially a feature that's been asked for even before launch Essentially making it worthless more more casual runs
@@lilsoonerfaninmo Well yeah, the move's not really for casuals. It's a gamebreaking ability that the game wasn't designed for. It's really not designed like the adventure games or classic games which were somewhat planned with the spin dash in mind. The game can be beaten easily without the Spin Dash, and if it was available from the get go it would break the game flow in numerous ways. Above all else though, this is a new approach to the series' gameplay, so it not having the same moves from prior entries there or easily available isn't too surprising. Furthermore, just because it's in the same franchise/series doesn't mean it necessarily has to play like prior entries or be a similar same game. Also, I don't really get looking at this game as a usual Sonic game when it deviates from what a Sonic game usually is in so many ways.
@@sevensvn5391 I mean, even if the game could be broken in 'so many ways', ain't that what the game is doing? The game is built like, say, Mario Odyssey, where all it asks of you is meet the mandatory requirements to progress. It doesn't care how you get things like Memory Token, Vault Keys, Portal Gears, etc., as long as you get them, you're good Your complaints would be more valid if this was a more linear game, but in a game where the tagline is literally "Forge your own Frontier", that kinda suggests they want you to break the game, in other words, play it how you see fit So saying stuff like "It'd break the game" is a non-threat
@@lilsoonerfaninmoBy "break the game", they mean that it'd absolutely destroy the intended difficulty regardless of the difficulty you play on. The platforming simply isn't built to handle the Spin Dash.
You know, the spin dash is actually not bad. Granted if you do it like the game said where you jump and press L2 (for PlayStation users I don't know what it's called on xbox) it's pretty much a drop dash but I like it. I almost lost the spin dash forever because for some reason it auto saved right before the text popped up to tell you how it worked so I loaded it and it didn't give me the spin dash. Luckily I saved before I got it so I could do it again and it worked. Sega needs to make it auto save after the text.
Overall it's pretty cool and kinda hard to control to hit an enemy. I also wish it did more damage than 10-11 unless your strength is upgraded but it still does the same amount of damage as standard attack and drop dash.
Just manually save after the text pops up and you'll be good there are manual saves for a reason you already had one right before getting it right? so just save afterwards and don't rely on the autosave
@@mylesrichardson1144 If nothing else, that challenge primes your platforming and movement tech. I like when a game has a halfway decent training mode for the player.
question, if you stop performing actions after getting a rank, does your rank eventually decrease? Like if you an S do you need to keep doing actions or it’ll go back to an A?
No your score doesn't decrease over time it's just get the target score for each challenge marker and then wait out the timer or go for the highest score you can
The only punishment is if u don't perform any action after a while you'll lose your multiplier, but you'll still have a chance to replenish the meter before you lose it.
I have a question, since the new game plus said that sonic’s skill and upgrades or the same only no items, so what if you complete the action chain challenges in the new game plus? Do you get anything new
So I did all the Speed challenges and unlocked the Spin Dash and its great. I made sure to save my game, but for some reason its just doesn't work in Arcade or Cyberspace Challenge. I'm very much aware of how to use it its literally Left Trigger. That's not what I'm asking. What I'm asking is how do I fix this to get it working on Arcade Mode because its just not working. Spin Dash doesn't involve messing with settings I've see other people post about it and people have responded to them acting like they're stupid for asking. There's no setting for it available in my menu so please do not spam that because I've tried asking on reddit and people just posting the same stupid answer. Please someone respond to this with a fix.
Unfortunately, that’s not the case. Once you make it to the final island will you then be able to do all of the challenges necessary to unlock the Spin Dash.
My main issue is that it doesn’t respawn the enemies for some reason, im gonna have to wait for stuff to come back, and that's just really obnoxious when defeating enemies is parr of the challenge
I'm a little salty but how they put spin - in the game but it's in a lockable new it's so many Sonic games were the spin Dash is not a lockable move I just feel like it's kind of stupid
@@MistyLord Why? The challenge is just playing more of the game, and the challenges themselves are the appeal, not a broken move the game wasn't really designed around. The score things add more replay value and longevity to the game than the spin dash does.
@sevensvn5391 why do we have to unlock something we should've had day one by not just completing, but S-Ranking every single one? Not everyone cares enough to play a game that still hasn't beaten out Sonic3K as best Sonic game just for challenge sake. Why not behind S-Ranking all the Cyber Space levels, something many already did, thinking there was something to be had from getting them anyway? Or getting 100% on every island? We've asked for the skill for years, and now they're making us jump through more hoops to get it. If he wants to do it on Easy mode, let him. You have no right to question why he chooses to not shill more time than necessary for this.
TO MAKE THAT THING EASY -PUT ON EASY -SPAM RECOVERY DASH OR GRAND SLAM ON ENEMIES (will make to 256 or max thing fast and will give a lots of things making a SUREFUL S rank :i made it so dont judge :) )
I hate that it's an S rank it makes it really hard for most people I would have had A rank be the goal to reach with S rank being bragging rights or another bonus like a cosmetic
It generally isn't too bad. I would try to unlock it or use a mod that unlocks it if you can since it is probably one of the most fun moves in any Sonic game. It is a blast to use in this game and you can use it to go flying.
@@matthewchisari4218 I understand your frustration since I was originally confused too. I think it makes sense though given how op it is. I just wish they actually told us how to get it straight up
@@jamiemanning4944 it shouldn’t be unlocked and earned, it should be automatically equipped. It goes to show that the sonic team director is a complete moron.
