Fun fact: the iOS/Android version used to look worse than it does now. Sonic's model looked like something akin to what you would see on the Nintendo DS.

I’m pretty sure that Dimps worked on this game and since they probably developed some sonic DS games, they decided to use the DS model for this

Yeah it used the prototype leaked version of the game on mobile. Funny how the one with the worst gameplay got updated to have the best gameplay, model, and sound, while the others are awful.

The wii version has a midi version of the soundtrack and some of the tracks actually sound better than the official tracks offer in the other versions and this is my favorite version of the game. 😊❤👍

Strongly agree. I remember hearing some of the songs on PS3 after playing the Wii version first and thinking "Wow, these sound AWFUL." May have been a different story had I played the PS3 version first, who knows.

Act Clear, World Select, Game Over, Boss Theme 2 and the Splash Hill music sounded much better on the Wii. Drowning, Boss Theme 1 and Casino Street Zone Act 2 sounded terrible. The rest sounded average.

I've never noticed that Wii music sounds different in this game. Dimps had to compress the game quite a bit to fit WiiWare's 40 MB limits, so it's no wonder they didn't release Episode 2 for the Wii. But in general I still think the Wii version is better than the Android one, right at the beginning you notice that the water doesn't reflect on Android but it does on Wii ( and PS3/X360/PC ).

I like the windows version, even though all of them are the same game, the reason why is becasue 1. Its the onyl version i have and 2. Its the only game that runs at 60fps on my cheap laptop. (I don't know why.)

Android version sucks, because controls are bad than 1 & 2 Remaster on Android in Sonic 1 & 2 Android version you can zoom in and out touch controls, sounds low pitch, the special stage is really hard to use touch screen, and tilt screen.

My favorite is IOS, PS3 (due to it being viewed in 1080p unlike other versions), PC due to making mods easy and xbox 360. And my least favorites are WII even though it sounds a little better, android due to pixelated graphics, blackberry tablet and finnaly the worst out of them all: windows phone, cuz of bad fream rate, sound effects playing badly, horrible graphics and no homing attack trail

only the cel-shading, lightning and textures are better in the mobile version, some things are worse, like loading screens, trash music quality and low pitch sounds. (in my opinion)

@@imperialny2739 I guess mobile doesn't even have Cel-Shading, and the textures are low-res on Android (in iPhone i dunno), but the iPad HD version had very high resolution textures, the textures even have more resolution than PC and Consoles, also you forgot to mention the weird low fps on mobile

Android is the worst version, although the Sonic model is good some enemies have models with a very low polygon count giving a boxy effect, in addition it has some graphic effects missing, such as reflections of rocks in water in the intro and brightness of the spindash, some elements that are 3D models on the Wii/PS3/X360 versions are just 2D sprites on the Android version (with the rings and rocks in the background) It's curious that this is the second version for Android, the first version had very polygonal models, it almost looked like a Nintendo DS game, the Wii, PS3 and X360 version are practically identical the only differences are in resolution and light in the Sonic model. It's a shame they didn't release Episode 2 of the game for Wii, Wii U or 3DS.
