There's a difference between art style and HD graphics. Unleashed's art style is much better compared to Forces, while Forces is more HD looking than Unleashed. I like Unleashed better than Forces, and yes, even I'm saying that.
Dude for some reason, 2008 felt like the peak of graphics for some my favorite franchises like sonic unleashed, Naruto ultimate ninja storm and DBZ burst limit. After that everything got worse it feels like
I am not satisfied with Forces. I just wanted more fleshed out Modern Sonic with more elaborate level designs. I didn't want more Classic Sonic because we are already getting that with Mania. And I sure as hell didn't want custom characters.
Even if you didn't like the werehog stages sega worked very hard to make it as appealing as possible. They implemented many combo's and quicktime events to make it more enjoyable and not a mash fest. So i can i kindly say the werehog stages were very fun in my opinion.
the level design. the graphics.the fucking music. brings every damn thing to life. I fucking love this game. hands down the best sonic game out there. YES. BETTER THAN ADVENTURE 2.

In all honestly i can understand why soo many people hate this game but that doesnt mean this game is bad in everyway, the stages and level design are enjoyable and gorgeous like this one along with its gorgeous music.
Acid Corp Anims Biased people, toxic fanbase and the supposedly "professional game journalists" all of this are the cause of Unleashed's undeserved hate, because as a whole and as a fact Sonic Unleashed (360/PS3) is a masterpiece of a 3D Modern Sonic game (same goes for Black Knight). Also the quality of the 3D Modern Sonic games have dropped since Colors because before Colors SEGA's best of the best developers and writers left the company and now we're stuck with 2 writers that know next to nothing of Sonic's universe and lore and lazy developers.
The only thing that made me hate the game on the start was the bad optimization Sega did (This can be seen on the werehog stages with many enemys or when you go too fast with Sonic in some stages) but after playing a little more i started to love the game.
I think this has to be THE best looking stage in the Sonic series ever. Sure it's just a bunch of white, but the lighting effects are gorgeous and the water effects when Sonic runs are amazing.
Although the werehog killed this game for me, I still love the daytime stages. This is probably the fastest Sonic has ever gone in his games before. Not to mention how beautiful everything looks. And the music gives of such an energetic feeling. Also it's more enjoyable to hear Sonic sound like he's having an awesome time running through the levels.
Elijah Toombs To be fair, it's nearly impossible to make a game this fast even CLOSE to glitch free, not when Sonic can so easily hit speeds that already make it difficult for him to not fall through the floor
The day stages have their own share of problems, they are the only good part of the game but, the trial and error, the excessive linearity, the constant access to barely controllable high speeds, the need to still stop and collect medals, the need for excessive amounts of dash panels despite the readily accessible boost, and the moments were it turns into temple run hd... the day stages are not perfect, but they are still the only good part of the game.
This stage was the first trailer I saw for the game. Still brings me back to 9th grade...man...I think it's the greatest Sonic game of all time. I feel like this is the TRUE reboot to the series that Sonic 06' failed to do. You could tell Sonic Team was so ashamed of how that game turned out that they were utterly determined to redeem Sonic's name for his fans with Unleashed. Damn good job!
i remember first getting to this stage and thinking “ugh, an ice level already.” i find a lot of them use the same kinds of gimmicks and are never very interesting but damn, did this one surprise me. sure it’s not as complex as some other stages but the beautiful natural vibes, music, and running across miles of open ocean are really something special imo. it reminds me a lot of Metal Harbor in the sense that it’s fairly simple, but is just pure high-speed thrill
They put Rooftop Run instead, which is fine by me. Also according to Tomoya Ohtani himself, both the Classic and Modern versions of Rooftop Run were his favorite compositions.
AAAAh same! I started playing this game again a couple days ago and now I'm stuck with it AGAIN! Ice levels are always visually pleasing and have awesome music, but they're in my nightmares none the less😂
I have met you Sonic since 1991, when I watch these beautiful stages really I want to cry !! Why Sega can’t give us an amazing Sonic like this :( Sonic Forces was a shame
SAME! I kept on dying in that section where you have to run over the water, and the part where you have to be super precise with the bobsled to avoid falling into the endless pits of death. As enjoyable as the music and scenery are, once I beat it I never wanna play it again😭🤣
I didn’t get stuck on it nor did I throw my controller, but I did lose lives on it, I got my first game over on this level. Which is quite sad seeing as it’s my fav level in this game.
If they want to remaster sonic unleashed the only thing they’ll need to do is -amp the shaders and graphics -add a motion blur option -make textures more realistic -Jason Griffith And they would be beyond set for a perfect remaster.
when Sonic's birthday came few years back I was surprised and awestruck with the music from his adventures and I'm a pinkie pie crazy for Sonic's adventures before including his past self also this music from the day level rocks
In Unleashed the Sonic Experience reaches his higher score, after that it only decrease. Maybe it was because they need to make it easy so they can sell more. People don´t like to work hard in order to achieve goals, they want them to be easy, and it steals the major fun a Sonic game must bring. Sonic Unleashed was the best Sonic game ever made, that´s the real truth.
Your right but I also think they should remaster this great game with all the DLC for free that gives them a shit ton of money and we get sonic unleashed in HD or 1080p,60fps,and better controls hopefully so basically If they do this then they win and we win right.(p.s the sonic Community can also make great mods as well if this gets ported to pc)
