Shadows control looks really good. It seems their using the tight controls that Sonic had in the open zone areas rather then the very loose ones we’d normally see in the boost areas/games
@@vittosphonecollection57289 Let's just hope it's not as ''tight'' as the bloody awful cyberspace levels from Frontiers.. They really did bring down the entire game tbh
@@Sawtje2 Idk I liked them. But now that I'm playing EP Shadow in Forces I hope it controls similar to that in the stages and similar to Frontiers in boss battles. (Although it will probably be the latter one in everything...)
@@flameblastv5151 I swear, like, why are they after Sonic X Shadow Generations specifically? Edit: It turns out it's not a bot, but some child rage baiter that got doxxed recently. Useless info ik
Yeah. In o6, Shadows punches and kicks are only on the air. Same thing for Sonic in Sonic Frontiers. I would like them to also have ground combos too. But this is still cool.
Havin’ seen the Biolizard now, I’ve come to the realization that its “body gills” weren’t actually intended to be seen that way back in the day. They look like he’s been heavily chopped beyond repair & is quite likely the reason WHY he needed the life support system as they’ve always aligned PERFECTLY with it
Expect it to be as long as the final horizon in sonic frontiers, maybe longer. But it has been confirmed in a recent interview with the devs that it'll be shorter than generations
@@DragonOfTheNorth7799 yeah the guy that made shadows story he said it’s not the same length as sonic generations but it’s a nice good chunk. Nice good chunk so does that mean two hours three hours? I’m betting on two hours.
It's all fun and games until Sonic RU-vidrs all over the world milk all of the game's information just to catch up to the bag and make 8-10 minutes videos based on how they feel about it for clout
@@markcampbell8590 I can only name 2, @MrNeedleM0use and @premydaremy. I'm guessing you're referring to how forceful they are of their own opinions, nearly treating it as fact.
Its a game booth for SonicXShadow Generations at the Summer Gamefest. And yes, its a trial version. I believe you are only allowed to play one level and a bossfight which is this, the biolizard
Imo that isn't a great mindset because that's what people said about forces and the game didn't turn out great. Actually that's a phrase that has been notorious in the sonic fandom right before a game releases and at this point there really isn't much they can change within this window of release, so we should worry.
@@renmojito6796 i’m not gonna be too stressed about it since the games have getting better and the developers actually know what to do. Hopefully, they just import the Sonic generations engine though.
@@BlueRødentt Well that's good you won't be stressed about it, but I was talking about the general fanbase, not specifically you, sorry if that wasn't clear. Hopefully it is now. Also the shadow version isn't on the sonic generations engine, just so you know.
@@renmojito6796this still looks a lot better than forces and frontiers tbf. Yeah it’s still slower and the level design is more linear but there are more pathways this time and for once this actually is like cool to watch and interesting, and the levels are longer.
@@flameblastv5151 Nothing about that hud is boring either, white sticks out among everything else in that game and it was fitting for the tone and setting. Stop nitpicking about the font of letters and numbers geez
It seems clear they tried to remake the mechanics of the original fight without understanding what made them good in the first place. The battle was an endurance rush that demanded skill with the very specific fluidity that this version of Shadow lacks that SA2 had. But they also try to add new mechanics to make Shadow feel more powerful, like all the button mashing and the flying lizard that this older and stronger Shadow can still beat. I give it a mid/10. It's okay, and shows clear effort and attempt from the team to learn more complicated coding and boss fight design. While this fight is lacking, if the same team continues their growth the next full game may have a lot more to offer. Frontiers did great Super Sonic fights. Now we just need great base Sonic fights (And retaining the rest of the good design and story from Frontiers and hopefully this) and the series will have something resembling a soul again.
