Do you have to have quality animation in order to be accepted? What if you're potential is limited technologically or financially but you know you can do more?
They're not asking you to do FX heavy cloud formations, you can animate on a cheap laptop with a free-rig and a cracked 3d program or a free one like Blender.
They have a student edition for the newer editions for Maya. You can just sign up with your email and get started! With the student license you cant make money off of it, however you can make short films to show at film festivals!
Animation studios are too picky. The same goes when hire if your work lack in production your fire. Best way create your own you-tube mini series and get sponsor by your community. However, get a day job first. Good luck....
They want the best of the best, they need to be picky. Creative Industries is tough, you need to be better than everyone else and show how unique and different you are... or no one will be interested.
