i have this pad its a 3m scotch brite light duty cleansing Pad, one or two wipes with that works then blow and brush. don't use alcohol. alcohol invites moisture.
I have this same issue but the authorized sony repair shop wants to replace the main circuit and replace the lens unit. Does that sound reasonable to you?
i would try to let it sit for awhile without battery and get new battery and don't use the batteries you currently have. im thinking the batteries is what caused this.
