***** my opinion: this one has an actual beat so it's better for combat The others are arranged better and have more references but are kinda slow for a fight in Smash. At least to me.
Wouldn't it be great if the announcer said something about Link when his theme plays on a stage? "A Young Hero, carrying a Sword passed down throughout history, Seeks to end the evil that plagues his past and future..."
@@xanethedarkwerehog why not heiachi from tekken honestly make sense the most he’s literally in the same company namco and hieachi is basically in the same universe as soul caliber why do you think yoshimitsu is in tekken the yoshimitsu in tekken is a descendent of the yoshi in in soul caliber tekken is basically In the modern day of soul caliber plus link and spawn to me don’t fit as much they still fit and I like them. also it’s probably because I grew up with ps2 version and like the ps2 controller and I grew up with tekken as well so I know hieachi more like he’s more iconic to me and it’s cool to see I guy using his fist he stands out from the rest of the cast but he still blends in really well I have all versions tho great game I kinda liked soul caliber 3 the most but 2 is good the original trilogy was the best
@@bowens9347 lmfao. What? No the melee one isn't better. It sounds too dull and quiet. This one actually sounds adventurous and gives you courage to continue your adventure.
@@fahimabdul8733 By your logic the one from ultimate on better since it matches your description for a good theme lol. You kids are just very very ungrateful lol. Always preferring anything over original or what you got lol.
@@bowens9347 lmao why do you keep referring us as kids? Now you are sounding like a child who lives in his mothers basement rent free. Lmao you are getting heated over music. Grow up. Seriously go get some sleep. This attitude is alarming and is a big sign of someone having low social skills. back in the day we would laugh at people like you who get heated over these stuff on forums. Enjoy.
It does, doesn't it? Sounds like a version you'd hear on a Zelda anime, live-action series or in a true film, adapted well of course. It could also be the original intended version Kondo Koji-san tried to make back in the day.
I will forever feel that Nintendo got the best end of the deal when it came to Soul Calibur II. Not only did they have the most faithful created version of their guest character put into the game but it also sold the most copies. The GameCube version even went as far as to only put three characters on the game case instead of four so the first thing you see is Link. On top of that Link for the unlike Hehachi Mishima (for the PS2) or Spawn (for the Xbox) Link was given is very own Victory Fanfare theme which was the jingle that plays whenever you open up a treasure chest in The Legend of Zelda series. But he also was given this awesome remix of the main theme of Legend of Zelda. Off the PS2 and Xbox versions did not give their guest characters the same amount of attention. Top it all off with the fact that the GameCube controller had an octagon shape around the joystick made it even more precise and easier to place inputs unlike the PS2 and Xbox controllers which were just a circle. I could go on and on for a long time but the simple fact is that to this day I always feel that the GameCube version of this game was the best and it always will be.
@@jennarizzo22 Yeah the best case scenario could have been Soulcalibur II HD and Soulcalibur VI get ported to Switch and to reveal a new character for Soulcalibur maybe a Fire Emblem character and then reveal a character for Smash Nightmare.
Soul Calibur did Link perfectly with his render all the way down to the moves. I wish Nintendo took more advantage to have this game remade HD on Switch and projects damn what a dream...
I agree with everyone here. This is easily the best ever rendition of the Zelda theme. I can't believe this was chip generated and not a CD recording. It really shows off how powerful the gc sound capabilities really were! I Can't believe Namco did not bring this game 2 wiiu or switch yet it blooming awesome XD
Let's be real here, link was awesome to play in soul calibur 2. I had the GC and the PS2 version and I played the GC version a lot more. Hell I keep playing it every now and then, the game aged pretty damn well with a fast and fluid combat. Too bad the HD remaster didn't include link, it's just not the same... Still a great game but he was the most creative character by far!
@@seasonembrace3624 At the time people wanted a Wii U version and Namco Bandai said they'll only port it to Wii U if Nintendo allowed Link on the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions
What I like about SC's rendition of Link is that it shows him as a skilled swordsman, not just a bait and punish character. Zelda games would do well to actually have some swordfighting in it!
God I didnt grow up with soul calibur, and I only just recently got into the series about a year or so ago. But MAAAAAAAN does it suck that we will never have anything like this with Nintendo and SC again. The Soul Calibur style fits this song *SO* well!
I bought Soul Calibur just because it had Link in it. And I loved all of the different weapons that Link had. My only gripe was that the Master Sword was the only weapon that had a scabbard. Maybe if they make another Soul Calibur for a Nintendo system, they can make each one of Link's weapons have a unique scabbard as well...though I can understand why they didn't do that for the most part (apart from the razor sword, none of the weapons had unique scabbards at the time in any Loz game).
link is my favorite fighter in soulcalibur 2 he has courage and faith and he has to protect hyrule and that blade in his hand is call the master sword and it will seal away the darkness and he is the hero of time
This has to be ones of the best things ever done to the Legend of Zelda series. and I loved it! I loved everything about this game cuz of Link. I also like every detailed thing about Link, since its taken directly from Ocarina of Time.
I knew that the _Resident Evil_ remake would eventually get ported to other consoles, but putting Link in SCII, though? That was what made me go out and buy a Gamecube.
I keep thinking the song is going to turn into that one part of Hyrule Field (OOT) where it sounds like the Zelda theme but does its own thing. I actually like that part a lot...
Kinda wished they would list his blood type. I bet his blood type would be completely different than a regular person's blood since Link is from another universe.
The best version of links theme song from zelda & l believe it was played on Nintendo game cube - soul calibur 2 i think! Absolutely incredible sound chip music thanks 4 posting x
Wow the gc sound chip was incredible! This was all in game chip generated & sound bloody fantastic! I love Zelda ost & was totally blown away the 1st time l heard it. Legendary a masterpiece of chip tune and a real testament 2 jyst how powerful the sound dsp was in the gc console. Well done 4 sharing thumbs up! XD
i grew up with the ps2 version which had heihachi, but one time at grandmas house i played the gamecube version in my uncles room and i think i played as link.Another time,i played Smash Bros Melee once.
It is surprisingly hard to track down the various SoulCalibur OSTs. I don't mean finding random SC songs on RU-vid, I mean an actual game soundtrack. Since I bought the DLC, I have the soundtracks in SC6, but I can't access those from outside the game. I'd really like to put those on my phone so I can listen to it when I'm not playing the game.
XxVoiceofSurvivalxX Link looks perfect in oot! that old graphics make him dang sexy dude! the more realistic Link looks the less Link he is. i mean.. my english is totaly wrong but i think you know what i mean right? :D
Although I never played a Zelda game in my whole life but I've heard of the franchise and the character of Link many times. This is a great cover of the theme song for Namco to do for SCII. If only I had the Gamecube version right now, I would play him. However, I have a Wii (the original, not the recent Wii U), so if I were to get the game for GC, I would play this version of the game on there since the Wii is backwards compatable with Gamecube titles.
or Link: I've defeated my doppelganger, Dark Link, evil Demon King Ganon, as well as every challenger here. No one can outmatch me! Nightmare: Hold my souls
