Great vid! I just started my army by ordering the crimson court box. I figure if I don't want the whole group, I would use them as cool vampire lords.

keep in mind they are not on the current vampire lord base size.

Vampire lord is really good in legion of night also because use command ability at start of the combat

The vampire lord pairs very well with the necromancer. Also, has anyone found out if the crimson court can return models? What's the point of the hunger healing d3 units if they're 1 wound models?

Great analysis as always. I'm a bit frustrated though by the fact the Vampire lord is so far from what he used to be in Warhammer Battle : a brute and one of the best fighter in the game. Now, he's more a buffer and it's not what I expect from a vampire, to be hidden like a Necromancer behind the lines.

you have a great point. back in the 8th you could run him around and he was a beast on the field. now they are more buffs with a little combat and a little magic. but keeping in perspective, now there are god monster running around on the field, so the are not top of the food chain anymore.

Pretty wild the Vampire Lord can stack the CA across rounds as it lasts until your next hero phase.

yes, and if you opponent goes next you can all out defense or attack in their combat phase, because they have not been issued a command that phase. does anyone see a rule that contradicts this?

I really hate the fact that we cant use mounts or wings for Vampire Lords anymore. Sure, they all fly now, but 10 inch movement was really nice. I am building a Kastelai Army right now, and not being able to have a mounted Lord feels lackluster :/

I just have a feeling that at some point they will come out with a mounted vampire hero model.
