Decided to try a new route out to Long Island. Been trying to break out of my patterns and mentally map out the area. I have realized that my tendency to rely on technology to get from point A to B is all to common, and am determined to break that cycle this year.
I decided to take the Belt Parkway to Southern State before hopping back on the LIE to reach Orient, the furthest point on the North Fork.

Dude. NYC and you speak English. I had to watch !!! Nobody speaks English in NyC anymore. Great ride. Nobody has license plates or insurance either. Ride safe.

Bike is the way to go. I rode my fixed gear the entire time I was there, and it made it manageable.

Negative. Only place in the states its legal is California.

I’ve got around 5,000 on my 2024 as well. Not a single issue other than the clutch slips when it’s hot out or during heavy riding. When I get my service I’m going to have them inspect the clutches for defects.
