On paper it has half the dpm of des moines, don't worry. Just because it has radar, railguns, short fuse and yolo torps, doesn't mean you are gonna get instantly blapped, while 2-3 of his friends at 15km will also be able to shoot you with pinpoint accuracy every 6 seconds. KEKW. DDs thought venezia was bad.
Releasing Soviet starship "шутка", Range: 20,000 km Detectability: 5km HE laser beam fire chance: 100% HP: 1,000,000 Reload times: no these stats are balanced with the offset of a 300mm plating on the top of the ship
You forgot the Enormous Secondary battery that consists of 300 ion cannons, 200 plasma guns with a 10,000km range and the Orbital Laser Consumable which automatically does 100000 damage to the nearest enemy ship :))))))))
Made a stupid Russian bb model in Blender as joke, it had multiple ciws 6 catapults 16x509mm guns (still smaller than super Yamato) 6x5 torpedo launchers for close quarters (Means 1 Shima on each side) Moskva guns as secondaries And the aiming thing that turns with the guns had the shape of a middle finger. All on a modified Montana hull named: $TAL€NINGRAD. Thought about 1million HP but only 1 super heal for balance.
Flamu, buddy, these Soviet detectabilities (or the lack thereof) are historically correct mate! As in: the Soviet navy was nowhere to be seen in WW2....
You are assuming the WoWS players have a good command of history of the last century. Most of them don't even remember what happened last week at their high school cafeteria.
@@domidomi917 Simple: The russians had their poor a$$es kicked off by the Japanese Navy... They were left with only 3(!) ships... They are salty even after 100+ years. Inferiority complex dressed in red at its highest!
If one did not know the history of naval warfare and solely relied on War Gaming's World of Warship's, one would believe that the Soviet or Russian navy was the most powerful navy to ever exist. Thank god for history.
That's why autocrats and dictators hate history. Trump, Johnson, Putin, Xi, Erdogan. The whole lot would like to rewrite history similar to these cruisers.
That's their goal. They know that alot of kids play the game and when those kids see how good the SoViEt NaVy is the will immediately think that it was like that irl.
This is because they already have stats in plan which are lower than the ones shown here but are still better than other ships. That way they will release the ships with those stats while leading us to believe they were tuned down from these outrageous ones shown here. Marketing at its best.
According to the newest secret documents we found hand drawn on the toilet walls of the Kremlin, all existing ships in Wows, were simple designs for the sovjet coast guard and water police. So I hope we find real sovjet warships in the future in the game.
@@paranidherc I don't know how much time you put into the game but FYI most of the premium ships are inferior to tech tree AKA free ships. Ship balance has been pretty tight until recently with Russian ship bias rearing its ugly head.
@@paranidherc uh, both those ships you cite are free bud. Been playing since beta myself, over 3,000 random battles and despite collecting quite a few premiums by and large my favorite ships are tech tree ships. I main cruisers but log my fair share of DD and BB matches as well. Your way off calling the game pay to win, hell most premiums are just shitty tech tree ships with a gimmick.
I remember the stories of the glorious Soviet Navy that completely dominated the oceans during WW2, and their famous battles against Bismarck, Tirpitz, Yamato, Scharnhorst, Nagato, Graf Spee, and many other ships.
The Soviets barely had the capacity to build a battleship and the one that was loaned from the UK was returned in a barely salvegable condition. Meanwhile in WoWs: Glorious Soviet navy has the best battleships and cruisers in the game with the most powerful radars.
WG: Yes yis da Kkomrade. Stronk stalinium ships. Uoy see during ww2 the soviets had sekrit cloaking tEcHnOlogYiE. Zo de ships were there but people never saw them.
They didn't barely have the capacity to build a battleship; they straight up didn't have the capacity to build a battleship. They couldn't build the cemented armor of enough thickness for it (in a single segment, which is what matters because otherwise you already have a preexisting weakness on it), and they struggled horribly with the main armament too. I'd wager that, relative to it's period, the Soviet naval industry was abysmally inferior to that of the Imperial Russian period, and was without a doubt the worst of all of the major players in the world. Oh, they also tried to keep that British battleship, and were only forced to do so after the Royal Navy had sent some officers to debunk the Soviet excuse that Royal Sovereign's seaworthiness wasn't there to make the voyage. In fairness, it is quite surprising that she could nonetheless make it given the horrible state of disrepair she was in. This was done to what was inarguably the best battleship the Soviets had ever operated.
@@Tricerius The Soviets purchased the unfinished Hull of what was originally supposed to become the 5th Hipper class Cruiser from the Germans: Lützow. They intended to finish it (staying true to the original layout) but failed to gather the required resources and thus ended up turning it into a hulk and used it as floating Barracks
Actually they didn' have capacity to build BBs at all. They've build a few dreadnoughts in age of Tsar, but they've never been able to build a modern battleship or even superdreadnought...
Wargaming. Keep giving me reasons to not come back to your game. To paraphrase a Russian WoWS player. "In Russia. Ships made of paper are stronger than ships made of steel."
Yeah, stopped playing WOWS about a year ago and I'm not seeing any reason to come back if this is how WG powercreeps anybody who doesn't have the time to grind brand new OP lines.
Just in case anyone thinks this will stop anytime soon, I own a book called “Battleships and battlecruisers 1922-1997” by Siegfried Breyer. It includes all capital Ships, including planned ones from that era. Just based on the infos I’ve got from there, let me introduce you to some likely future russian premiums. These only include BBs and super cruisers, don’t have much info on anything smaller. Most of the names are made up. 1. Tier IX/X cruiser Sevastopol. A Kronstadt, but with 2x3 German 15 inch guns. Basically a better Siegfried 2. Tier X cruiser Frunze (project X 1935). A preliminary design for the Kronstadt with the focus of cruiser-hunting, armed with 12x240mm guns and a top speed of 38knots. 3. Tier VIII/IX cruiser Novgorod. A design by the Italian company Ansaldo for a preliminary Kronstadt, with a hull very similar to the high tier Italian CAs, but 9x254mm guns as main battery 4. Tier V Battleship Archangelsk. The British Battleship Royal Sovereign, Which was transferred to Russia during WWII. It’s basically a smaller, slower QE. (And an actual ship for once) 5. Tier V battleship Rossiya. One of the first drafts for a small russian battleship after WWI, having 9x305mm guns in an Izumo-layout. 6. Tier VI battleship Navarin. A smaller version of what we know as the Poltava, using 305mm guns as main battery. 7. Tier VIII Battleship Novorossiysk (UP 41) an early design for the Sovetsky Sojus provided by Italy. Very similar to Roma, but using 406mm guns as main battery and 180mm guns as secondaries. 8. Tier X Battleship Sovetskaya Belorussiya. A version of the Sovetsky Sojus with 12x 406mm guns instead of “only” 9
The Royal Sovereign was an R class BB not a QE. They were launched a year or so later than the QEs and originally had better dispersed secondaries. They were not greatly rebuilt following the Great War. The Royal Sovereign was lent to the USSR in WWII - they were not impresssed apparently....
Oh and "aT lOnG rAnGe ThE eLLiPsE oF rUsSiAn CrUiSeRs iS BiGgEr ThAn Of OtHeR nAtIoNs" meanwhile the ships can't even hit farther than when the ellipse in reality really gets bigger.. it's all lies from WG, if there was another game that would be competing against WoWs, then every player would have left this game by now
Did you not know comrades? The Soviet Navy was the best in the world during WW2, we didn't at all have to "Borrow" ships from the UK and US that had to be scrapped because we didn't move the turrets at all......
Agree but i doubt we want completely historically accurate video game. Because we know bbs could only fire guns while broadsided and bbs hit ratio back than was 6%. Do you really want that? Basically WG is like the American government and can't admit when they make a mistake and continue to make things worse.
@@aurelianobuendia5360 I wouldn't mind that realism.... but you would have to simulate real damamge too.... eating a +400mm HE shell in a light cruiser would be ..... Bbye... :p
The best part is we know they tried to get boilers that were higher output that the Italians and failed to get the designed figures, being pretty mediocre when they did set to sea, and unable to maintain their top speed for anything but a sprint. They did have good guns, but the common cradle rather ruined that too.
Next up on imaginary overpowered soviet ships, the soviet aircraft carrier line. *Carriers cruising in a perpetual smokescreen caused by their own engines*
Lol At least that last bit is accurate (sort of). I hope they'll also include the snapping arrestor wires and VTOL planes with just enough fuel for takeoff and... no, just takeoff.
Russian CVs will has a tug boat consumable that will move your ship out of the game for 10 min and completely repair your ship, don't worry you'll be able to use land-based jet planes at T4 when its active, they will just pop up behind the enemy spawn.
I expected the Soviet anthem at the background with gradually increasing volume until it is in ear-rape form at the end and the Soviet flag taking over the screen.
Flamu: WHAT THE HELL ARE THESE VALUES!! WG: whats the matter? it seems balanced to me comrade! *has the soviet bias anthem running in the background while wearing an ushanka with a soviet star on*
So... Why did the Soviet Union collapse again? Surely with these “historically accurate” naval vessels they could’ve taken over the world with nary a problem. Oh wait, because MISSILES are an IRL thing, and ingame AA can’t handle the inclusion of such. Yet. Seriously, if the Russians get these paper warships that likely weren’t even paper for the most part but digital creations for the game, why can’t any of the other TRUE naval powers? How many updates after the Submarine inclusion will it be before the anti shipping and anti air missiles are allowed? If these pure gunboats level of realistic arms race is allowed, missiles WILL be included, likely starting with the GRANIT.
high shell velocity isn't always good becaue it means you can't shoot over islands. Also the Des moines will still better DPS and probably more maneuvarable. This is blown off proportions
Players: "So, what's the calling card of these new lines gonna be? Superior guns? Top-notch AA? Incomparable long-range support ability? Extreme stealth? Big health pools?" Wargaming: "Yes."
@@MrDoctorDen WG: Let's nerf stealth radar from the american ships and give it to the russians. Flamu/community: Dafuk bro, that's not fair. WG: It's russian you lil peasants....duh.
I really like this game, been playing since it came out of Beta.....but what they keep doing to the Germans and the US....really makes it hard to keep playing
>Be me, USS Gearing >Sailing the seven seas.exe >Get shot at >Can see its a cruiser but not where it is >Try to run >Still radard, WTF, its keeping up with me >See Alexander Nevsky >So thats why
Russian Navy can barely make it from St.Peterburg to mediterane without breakdown and is known for nothing but of accidents. But WG turns them into best navy of universe.🤣🤣
U G K this is not entirely truss including that a majority of their service fleet and submarine fleet can get any where in the world so this is false and you really don’t think the U.S. Navy had problems their ships man you must be really delusional
Yeah! That must means the USSR have the best ships right??? Where have the USSR ships gone during the war? Which naval battle have they fought? Are they comparable to the other nation navy at that time? Even the Italian have more better ships than the USSR navy at that time.
SovetskySkaiya /Strigon1 yeah in THE MODERN DAY give the US there modern equipment and be fair this is total bs there getting ships that were never built and many never even designed.
Only because they can’t include their stealth subs in the game as premiums or tech tree vessels yet. If Russia gets this big a paper fleet, just think how big the other represented nations’ fleets would be if Wargaming played fair with just inclusion.
I guess the Russian Navy has really downgraded in the last few decades, really is a shame. Gone from top rated cruisers to a carrier sinking in drydock.
That Patriot they didn’t give Vanguard her 22 rounds per minute per secondary gun for AA and self defence.... because accuracy. Wouldn’t want it firing 220 flak shells per minute per side would we now!
Actually impressive how WG doesn't even try to hide soviet bias anymore. Releasing Smolensk and Kremlin, refusing to nerf Smolensk and only doing cosmetic nerfs to Kremlin, while hammering Kleber, Henri and Odin into the ground. And now this... World of Warships...the delusional man's action game!
"All Parameters are subjected to Change" And they really Need it. Ok Flamu bring the Nerfhammer to the testing Phase. Detection, Healthpoints, Reload you name it. I have a Feeling that These Ships will be nerfed before they even got to the Testing by Supertesters and CCs
well if Flamu gets his hands on them . . we all know what will happen . . he Will rule the waves and show their OPness . Heck I think even with my Potato Play these would be OP . . .
New line of russian ships will include the following upgrades: - Stalin's portrait for captain's cabin (increases enemy dispersion by 60%) - Comrade commisair (forces your crew to continue serving the motherland, therefore allowing full control of the ship until the end of battle, even if your health pool reaches 0) - Molotov's cocktail (additional crew members will remain onboard your ship, throwing Molotov's cocktails at enemy ships. This is an unique secondry battery upgrade, providing 100% fire chance) New consummables will include: - radar jamming (also effective against sonars, enemy team communication and minimap) - request airstrike (a land based Tu-22 will be called, carrying a single Kh-22n missile) - request reinforcements (your current ship will be sent to port and a new one will be spawned for you) - request sabotage (random crewmember on enemy ship will be a sleeper agent, sabotaging engine, rudder, main battery and torpedo tubes of enemy ship) - additional vodka for gun crews (improves main battery reload, accuracy and traverse speed)
Baltic countries always considered soviet times as occupation, nothing more. Isn't naming 2 of them Tallin and Riga a big middle finger to estonians and latvians?
Yes, yes it is that's why they do it, because they are a bunch of russians who think the world owes them everything. Gaijin does the same thing in war thunder, germany gets shafted always and the only bulgarian marking is from the period after the 9th Sep. 1944 (which is when the fcking commies took over).
Step one, release over-powered new ship lines . Step two, wait for people to use XP, camos, flags, and buy permanent camo's. Step three, nerf the crap out of it (unless it's Soviet) to prepare for the release of another new line.
@@justinbiggs1005 i think Wargaming is worste than EA. EA really left the Pay to Win in every game expect the Sportsgames for about 1 1/2 year now. Battlefront 2 and Battlefield V are pretty fun, especially Battlefront 2
Thnx for reminding me why i dont play WoWs again. Last patch Flamu didnt even mention my favorite navy, IJN, because there so insignificant there not even woth mentioned. How is IJN Nagato, one of the reason i played WoWs, faring these days?
Powercreeped as heck. But she still got them big accurate guns though, just don't even think about doing anything aggresive with Nagato. Better off using them glorious motherland BBs if you want to actually contribute something
@@imtiredtiredtired okej thnx for the input, its as i expected then. I miss the days when i went brawling close up, she used to have rather uniqe secondaries for a IJN ships as well, and at the tir. She didnt even get the radar or any of the fancy gear she had IR. I miss to hear the guns in the game, but i hate getting mad at unfair and bad balance, even more.
I joked a lot about the CV rework. But the new Soviet cruisers might make me quit the game. No shit. I've been playing since open beta. I've got Alabama, Texas, Atlanta, Albany, Charleston, Georgia, and am currently grinding out the xp for Alaska. I started a clan with 27 players in it. I love history and all things Navy. I've been to three separate meetups on the Anchors Away Tour. But this will make me quit. It's been real, my dudes. But, I guess I'll just wait and see if Warthunder puts anything out.
wg clearly found that players don't like having their ships plane spotted, so they buffed air detect for the line of ships that their most important players will care most about.
No no niet no bias Kkomrade. AkTuALiE russian ships ingame are under performing and need more buffs. - says the russian "community" or as I like to call them a bunch of commie hypocrites.
The Soviet submarine captain (Marinescu) who sank a boatful of refugees in 1945, killing some 6,000 people or more, is a national hero. A war criminal to the rest of the world. Just one example of many.
Well, they like to call a ship that was never even close to completed and a submarine that literally only sunk fishing boats "naval legends". That's how utterly shite their actual navy was. They feel a mighty need to compensate, it seems.
Russian historians have a history of being quite selective. This does not obviously cover all blanket researchers in russia, as some maintain proper methodology, but some parts of russian history is definitely treated selectively. Like the rape of civilians when entering prussia.
I gave up on the game a year ago and don't regret that life choice. I for one don't have the time to constantly grind new balans Soviet lines just to not get powercreeped, and I'm sure not paying them real money just to keep up with those who do.
@Tommy Andreassen let's see if this game ends the same way as wot. Wargaming is just a cavalcade of oafs adding op, paperships for the russians when the majority of the players don't want it.
I was just getting back into WoWS after quite some time. I used to love this game during beta and early regular normal play. The standard of gameplay was higher, ships had some balance, the players where far less toxic and it overall was a enjoyable experience. I always suspected it would not last and the game would drop off and slowly get ruined because of greed, stupid decisions like the CV rework, the endless need to power creep with every new line to get people to spend gold for free XP, buy a premium ship and time etc. Still it somewhat saddens me that they are actually murdering the game like this. I got out of World of Tanks around the time they began screwing up in similar fashion. Like this it won't take long before I abandon WoWS... I kinda expected these BS paper ships, most likely Soviet ones. What WG is rolling out is questionable at best, even for the technological top tier navies. Those would be the USN, RN and to some degree the Germans. The Germans had the technology, they just didn't have the design experience or clear naval strategy to turn it into a well balanced fleet. The Soviets lack most of this. They couldn't even make face hardened armour thicker than 230mm. That means they had to use rolled homogenous armour with reduced armour protection for battleship grade armour. They had serious issues building heavy guns with often poor barrel life because of excessive muzzle velocity. Turret design was a problem, boilers and turbines where foreign designs and not the best either. Now suddenly we have magic super ships that even the US with all its resources probably could not be expected to build. This is what you get when some biased idiots who understand nothing about either naval technology or just game balance, just start drawing up stuff that they think looks alright. Most of those paper ships probably would never work. For example I have no clue where for example the 201.000shp of the Vladivostok is supposed to sit in that hull. Not with the boilers and turbines the Soviets had available. Even with USN propulsion I don't see it happening. The area between the turrets is way to short and to make matters worse, it will be full with magazines for secondary batteries. The armour weight on that ship is ridiculous. We are probably looking at 23,000t+ of just armour. The triple armoured deck will take up a huge amount of weight and the main deck is very thick as well. Bismarck with its 19.000t and armoured weatherdeck as well as the main deck was already pretty extreme. Yamato had 23,000t of armour and Yamato was huge. Further that ship would probably has a standard displacement in excess of 55,000t if not much more, for a T8. Pretty much all other T8 battleships are in the 35,000t-42,000t range. Yea, that is fair, giving one ship at least 10.000t more displacement that mostly seem to be spend on more armour. Armour that seems to be placed in such a manner as to provide maximum effectiveness in game. Almost as if there is a reason for it...
A well thought out argument you presented there. Sadly, like WoT, all that goes out the window in the name of power creep/$$$$. Just like WoT, wallet warriors will line up to get the latest OP offering and then crush free-to-play cannon fodder for a few months until their OP purchase gets nerfed to hell. Then WG releases the next line of OP whatever's and the whole process starts again. Rince and repeat as nauseam.
I've not always been Flamu's biggest fan, but it's rare you get to witness someone on a public forum react with such pure unadulterated honesty. The complete incredulity in Flamu's voice is pure entertainment and a hilarious breath of fresh air. I know he's is not trying to be funny, but sometimes you just have to laugh at his reactions. Great stuff.
The Russian cruiser with the same number of guns (4x2) and same caliber of gun as HMAS Perth has almost double the range and is faster hahaha I mean, sure, you get an incremental boost on your weapons from tier to tier, but that’s such a contrast.
They add obvious issues like the stealth radar, so when it's brought to a reasonable level, they can say "well it's balanced now, we nerfed it" while other stats remain stupid.
Wargaming sprint meeting..."OK, we really have to troll Flamu...any ideas? Oh yeah, lets release the STRONGK cruiser values, and watch the fireworks." :)
"How is the air detectability so low???" Simple komrade, we merge cruiser and submarine design. Also, WG is lucky I like WW2 era warships so much, or I'd be f**king done with this game.
Stalingrad's long lost extended family siblings, coming soon. We are gonna be reminiscing in tears the good old ages when smolensk was burning us down with those lazy rainbow arcs.
i dont like how they have a big aa range. i used to max my aa range to make the hood more effective but now it doesn't feel like the hood has a good aa despite having a defensive fire sonsumable
They ruined hood. The aa is a joke, the sigma buff was so small it makes almost no difference and the loss of the shell fuses means everything that doesnt overpen just shatters.
Actually, "worst navy" of Cold war is really going a bit too far, taking into account it was basically an arms race of two superpowers with a bunch of sidekicks from each side. Sure, Soviet navy reached it's parity pretty late but it did anyway.
Finally some sane man. Really, it is not like players are locked in one nation tree depending on where are they from. Ships of Nation A are better than others - go, play them. Oh, you like Nation B more - well, that sucks and you also will if continue. That's a F2P game cycle: new content must be generally better than the old one, forcing players to go grind it, probably spend real money to save some time. Then everything will be repeated.
