They kept the British accents for 2 reasons: 1) They knew that Russian accents would be memed 2) They wanted to give some perspective on what it is like for Russians talking to each other. Considering how big the Soviet Union was, it made sense that everyone had vastly different accents.

I want HBO to produce the version of Fukushima nuclear disaster in 2011. There was as much absurdity as Chernobyl but Japanese broadcasts will never make it because of fear of sanction.

You take iodine, because radioactive iodine is a significant component of nuclear fallout, and having a large amount of iodine in your body helps prevent your body absorbing more of it.

7:25 even when i was about 6 years old and i saw a map i always felt like some places could fit into each other such as south america to that western part of africa and japan to the east coast of china and ive always been interested even before i learned about pangea about how maybe all the continents were all fused together once and a couple years later i learned about it and i always wondered how i came up with the idea that maybe the continents were all fused together at one point before i even got taught about how indeed they were once all one big landmass

Rhino is the one who always survives because he’s the “me” in the meme. If you look up the original footage of that Spider-Man meme he isn’t there. It’s just Vulture, Electro, and The Green Goblin. Rhino was photoshopped in, so “the boys” are those three guys while Rhino is “me.”

(5:35) "kosmonaut" is just the Russian word for astronaut. People insist on using it, but personally I find it silly since you don't call Russian lawyers as "yurists". Be consistent and use "astronaut", or start calling the lawyers "yurists".

The reason they chose to use different English accents is because its to show how diverse the USSR was. It was better to do that than try to get actors to use fake russian accents and dialects or have russians butcher english. Its a great film decision.
