I can't even get my ships to build... I have multiple stations and told it to use resources from earth if necessary, set the (added them to) queue, but it keeps saying 135 days to build it. This is the first video on ships I've found...
In the special maneuver button there's an option to lock onto the target ship. This causes your ship to try and keep their nose pointed at the target, reducing exposed surface area and presenting the most armored part of itself.
If you're making a defense fleet around a planet, it seems like the basic liquid fuel engines are really good since they have such high thrust, and don't need to transfer between planets and so their efficiency doesn't matter nearly as much
One correction: early game first drive tech ships can do this too but only with high thrust low kps engines like chemrockets. They are basically defense only ships then
Are you sticking ion drives on warships? Liquid drives can reach end game levels of thrust and what you should be using for warships until you get something better
Doing basic movements in this game is too complicated for the sake of being complicated. Why not just give us the right click to move the thing, hold click to rotate and a simple button on the ui to control engine power. 16 min video just to learn the (totally unexplained by the game) basics of moving your ship in combat, there are other huge amount of hours in videos just to learn the bare bones of the totally unexplained abstracts around eco, techs and dominance. I like complex games, but I honestly don't have the time and I also don't want to earn a master degree in physics just to have some fun in a non-competitive single player RTS match. I wish I could refund, but I have already spent the maximum hours doing the basics.
Without intentions to be mean, as I appeciate your effort: for myself the video is difficult to watch due to lack of fluency in your narration. I get english is not your first language (nor it is mine), but still I'd suggest you to work on this if you want to improve your future videos. Especially I'd eliminate the breaks/pauses between every two words. Good thing that your video has captions on though. Have a good day mate and thank you for sharing your knowledge with us!
