Finally reached max difficulty boys, time to grind out a few characters and weapons Enjoy! Timestamps: #spacemarine2 #spacemarines #warhammer40kspacemarine
I thought so too, but watched it at .25x speed and paused when the UI said it was a melta bomb. You can tell too because it’s red, the gene seed is white with the prime helix on it (Apothecary symbol)
what I love is you get rewarded for agression. if you are able to get those parrys you just spam execute and knock back the whole horde over and over while armoring up more. with bulwarks shock you can literally feel like a greyknight whos psychic presence fells enemies before you even have time to hit the execute button
Tbf there’s a bug with the melter, you can heal more than the white bar lets you. I was once half way down and quadrupled the white regeneration bar. It wasn’t even closely as much as that. Only melter and grenade launcher from the tactical can do it so far as I know. Pretty weird.
Gene seeds are in any difficulty, (at least I only played the first two and already found some) but you really have to check every corner and highlight walls to find them. Like those floating armor heads but less obvious to see
@@matthewcoffey1306 Actually, the gene-seed always spawns in every mission. It appears on every map and difficulty, though its exact location is randomly chosen from a set of fixed points.
You can see team mates’ Med kit supply in the scoreboard, so you can decide even without a mic who needs to pick it up. Also, gene seed is on all difficulties and is a chance spawn. Probably has a higher chance on higher difficulties to spawn. Saw it on 1-5 in a place you’d find a guardian relic.
Actually, the gene-seed always spawns in every mission. It appears on every map and difficulty, though its exact location is randomly chosen from a set of fixed points. I have never seen guardian relics on gene-seed spawnpoints unless the player who picks up had a guardian relic already, since in that case, the player's guardian relic will replace the gene-seed on the ground. But other then that, they have totally different spawn points.
Gene-seed spawns on every map and difficulty. There are videos showing where to find it on different maps (Operation 2 has a fully complete guide, as I always find it on that map, regardless of difficulty), although some guides are incomplete. The spawns are essentially randomly selected from a set of fixed locations.
I hope they don’t change the difficulties or the progression even tho some people are bitching about it. Ruthless is fun. If you don’t totally suck lmao
Melta Bomb is great for example on the first mission there will always bee one Tyranid Dropship comming down at the same spot and a Melta Bomb just instantly clears that spot. If I play Assault what I mainly do is I go in with a jetpack boost throw the bomb down and jetpack away detonate it and have a lot of enemies cleared instantly. For carnifex or brutes its also a big dmg pump
Yeah, all grenades are good in their specific use cases. I prefer the Melta bomb for the Hive Tyrant as soon as he changes phases I detonate it and if I’m lucky there’s another one in the arena for me and bang, half health gone in 2 hits
Good video! One thing I don't fully agree with is that spam rolling in this game is actually very effective, depending on the situation. If you have enough ammo then you should not spam roll, but when you need to resupply, you are nearly invincible spam rolling to the crate.
So from having played a lot on every difficulty ( fully maxed 2 char ) Gene seed seems to spawn around 70% if the time. ( so probably it’s 100% but I don’t know all the spawn locations ) Armoury data is 100% of the time. On all difficulty’s also same spawn spots. Higher difficulty: slightly more hp on enemies, and the dodge and parry window is slightly shorter. Honestly not an issue- except for when you swap around difficulty. What makes it a bit difficult at times is the fact ammo spawns are fewer- but if you speed run it don’t matter. Honestly I feel they played it a bit too safe at lunch, and made the difficulty to low / similar
you can get gene seeds on all difficulties source i have gotten them on easiest difficulty. pretty sure they spawn in every mission just in obscure spots you cant speed run the missions you have to actually search for them until the spots are found that is
Gene seed is on all diffs, I’ve see it on 2 but I do think the spawn rate is higher for 3 and 4, with 1 being the rarest. I know it spawns on diff 1 though because that’s where I first saw it and actually extracted with it
The gene-seed always spawns in every mission. It appears on every map and difficulty, it is a guaranteed spawn, though its exact location is randomly chosen from a set of fixed points.
I see you went Raven Guard for your Vanguard. I don't have this game yet, but I would happily paint my Space Marine as a Salamander, and I have three classes I'm most interested in playing, Heavy, Bulwark, and Tactical. To answer your question earlier, Heavy can still parry despite not having a melee weapon, but I heard the parry window is smaller for them.
Higher difficulties are so hard with bots only and getting good teammates seems to be hard for me too 😂 I’m excited mostly for the announced horde mode though I think
Yeah there kinda tedious to do especially when u fail at the end alot i just done the last ruthless mission today.... definitely taking a break From it lol
Parrying is all I do with vanguard and I can’t get enough of it. I know how to parry the Tyranid warriors and sometimes the frustrating chaos marines but the hive tyrant is my one true weakness. It hits u with 5 unblockables then when u could actually parry u barely see it coming.
When in doubt you can always perfect dodge the attack which shows the parry indicator. I dont know what it is with parries, but the timing on anything higher than Hormagunts seems strange, at least sometimes.
With your FPS instincts I'm surprised you didn't go with tactical or sniper class. Sniper is a rough start, but gets fun once you start getting the perks that boost headshot bonuses and camo procs. Plus makes it a lot easier to set up melta bomb carnage.
Lore knowledge is helpful for the narrative and immersion but it is not explicitly required! If you like to let the action and setting speak for itself, jump on in, maybe ask questions later. Though if you want to feel the in-universe weight of being a space marine and a servant of the God-Emperor, or know specific characters and plot points, a video primer on the setting, or even just space marines, could be enough. It's a good time either way, honestly. Good luck!
Gene Seeds are in every mission besides Inferno at all four difficulties. Also, he wants you to pick up all the Medical, because if you even go down, the Gene Seed is lost.
Don’t believe you need to actually use the weapon to gain xp for it, just has to be equipped when you extract I’m pretty sure. Each “checkpoint” gives experience to the character xp and the weapon xp, and post match accolades also add more. Haven’t tested if switching weapons mid game at the drop pod cuts xp for all used weapons or just the 1 you hold during extract.
It’s definitely rated on how long in the match you’ve had the gun. I’ve switched guns at certain points and the xp earned always seems to be related to when in the operation I switched rather then how many kills I got with the gun.
@@adamarmstrong5780 Yea it slices that xp right up and gives a negligible amount of xp to both weapons. You’re better off playing a whole game through with the same weapons, but u can re-equip your load out at a drop pod just to refill ammo.
I was trying to use the same bolt rifle that he uses but I don't see the occulus without the scope? Anyone care to explain how he was able to take the scope off?
Ok but why do all the videos i see of people playing this game they just refuse to use their melee and parry the gigantic blue circle that basically screams PLEASE!! PARRY ME!!
I am so annoyed right now. Internet provider modem has broken and I need to wait a WHOLE day to play this again. I hate how progression in operations cant be done offline. modern games these days.....
What’s so shit about it tho? Can you explain more detailed than just complain. Because that’s all I hear from people on comments or when I play with them. But no further explanation.
@@_FIow the first game's melee was fun and rewarding AND, could keep you alive in very tough spots. You used light attacks to build up to a strong attack which would give you some HP back. It wasn't as fiddly with the parry system either. The new system just feels far too punishing. These are space marines and these aliens are a threat, yes, but the marines should be able to hew their way through everything but the warriors and above without much risk. The new system feels like it's overly complicated to me. It would actually be easier if it used street fighter combos. Nobody asked for soulslike crap. Hard gameplay is fine, I dig it. This just doesn't match the feel of the first game which made you feel like you were playing this epic character, this billy badass. This game it's like oh, guess I didn't hit that parry or dodge just right, guess I die now.
@@Prockski On top of that this guy here (the creator no hate now) uses a pretty shit weapon. Of course everyone can play how they want, but obv it’ll be a bullet sponge fest with a weak MP. The melter is preferably the best for the vanguard.
Ammo searching simulator. This is HD2 all over again, I cant understand whats fun about it. Always having to spam your secondary to conserve primary ammo as much as possible. Then you get swarmed by trash mobs anyway. I thought this would be a shooter but its more like a melee game with guns added an an afterthought.
