Bad end? More like Badass End. Amazing how Shirou didn't stop fighting even though his mind was quite literally falling apart, even though Saber was so much stronger than him.
Remember when Shirou asked Saber if there was a secret technique that would for sure kill a servant? and she yield at him angrily for even asking something like that yeah it seems he never gave up on that, and that final sword dance is his Sure kill servant technique
@Technical Clashers More like most of the times he'd be willing to do it, it's ineffective. Lancer had pfa, berserker would AT BEST, lose one life to the overedge, caster could just tp out, or if in her area, just shrug it off.
I remember Sparks Liner High for its amazing ost, Mighty Wind. I played through 50+ hours of the visual novel and when I finally got to that bad end they whipped out an absolute banger of a soundtrack that I had never heard of before. Literally 50+ hours of reading and this scene is the only time that soundtrack was ever played.
This shirou i call is a true definition of a glass canon, he can keep up with salter and remember she got a buff from being sakura servant and still he can keep up with his fricking brain frying up. Like how, literally how, even archer can't do it and still he still win in somehow. This shirou show how archer and him have almost unlimited possibility, he can copy the skill of the weapon, he can keep up with the best servant in close range, he can just too strong that Nasu belike:" Oh no,he too op, i must nerf him in some ways" and give him the you will die if you use it.
this and the superhero ending are probably the most recognized bad endings in fate. The superhero ending was so edgy that they decided to make a whole new series inspired by it (zero)

@@yaboiplank6764 this is not dbz. Characters don't just beat other characters because they are more powerful....It doesn't work like that in reality , and it doesn't work like that in fate. Plenty of times in martial arts for example , matches has been won by underdogs , either by flukes , or for any other reasons , and that's quite okay. If power levels would be all that maters , then fate would be really fucking boring. So yes , every character can beat the others if the conditions are in his favor. Emiya in particular is extremely underrated , and id go as far to say that in a no holds bars all out war , he would probably take on a lot of the servants in fate...more often then not. The main issue with emiya is that almost all times he fights , he's put at melee range , not giving him time to maneuver or make use of his insane battle experience. Keep in mind that emiya far outstrips any other servant in that department. He;s been used as a CG for an eternity. He also has knowledge of saber's fighting style since his shirou days. Not only that , but while salter got a massive buff in the offensive department....she also got a nerf in the defensive one as well. She was lower instinct for example - you know the thing that helped her dodge a gae bolg. And in the end , emiya still lost. He suicided for that fight , and still only managed to just stall saber
So, when Salter says "can you release Sakura by then, Rin?" is she asking if Rin can save Sakura? I know she's pitying them since Shirou was pretty much mentally gone, but would she still side with Sakura after all that
@@MrInuhanyou123 She isnt being controlled. If she was she could easily put an end to Shirou and Rin who are being a threat instead of finding loopholes in the orders.

If we use our heads here and knowledge from the other routes. I think Shirou could have had a much easier or safer time with this fight. By really NOT using Archer arm...but use his OWN. Just use your Right instead of your left to trace stuff. FR stuff like in Fate route, Calibur! Or even better Avalon!

Shirou vs Saber Alter and Shirou vs Gilgamesh are basically the same situation. Shirou is in a place where his opponent trump card is useless (In the cave where Saber can't Excaliblast, and in UBW where Gilgamesh can't rain death on him) and then goes further beyond with Kanshou and Bakuya. The only difference is that UBW Shirou is able to use his powers without becoming a vegetable.

Gilgamesh did rain death on Shirou in UBW, that's literally a big part of the fight, that Shirou has to deploy UBW to survive against him, it was Ea that he didn't want to use.
@@thegamerfe8751 Only in the anime. The fight is extremely short in the VN. Gilgamesh instantly goes to melee when he realized he can't use GoB there, quickly discovers it is also useless, and then pulls Ea.
@@Josnaci0 Nope that's totally not what happens in the VN, there's a bit of projectile attacks action and then as Shirou gets closer Gil gets more desperate until he reached him when there was like maybe one or two melee attacks then he tried to pull Ea. And what you said doesn't even contradict what I said, if Shirou couldn't counter all of the GoB attacks he would have died.
its called overedge, it works the same way as how archer shoots his caladbolg ii arrows, he pours a shit ton of magic into the blades so they turn into a broken phantasm then they explode on impact dealing more damage but destroying the weapons completely. In the fighting game fate unlimited codes archer uses overedge when doing the special move Tripple crane wings thats based on this bad ending, where as the regular shirou version of the super doesn't use overedge but he still makes the weapons explode, he probably just doesn't have the mana for it to change the blades forms.
Gilgamesh actually wants to see the world prosper, which is exactly why he hates the modern world. its been so long since his deat and since hes entrusted the future to humanity. so hes disappointed at what mankind has achieved. he sees the dirty alleyways, he sees the bums on the street, he sees the hookers walking around and he hates all of it. in his time, everyoen had a purpose, even the slaves did some work and had selter and food. so he wants to cleanse the world. Kirei on the other hand wants the world to suffer, not so that it could improve itself, but just so tht he could enoy it
Kirei doesnt want the world to suffer.He would enjoy it yes but that isnt his goal. He doesnt give a shit if Ilya or Sakura give him the answer, but Sakura is literally forced to give birth to Angra. Kirei wants to know if someone like him should be allowed to live. What better answer than Angra's literal birth?
Gil wants the curses in the grail to kill off the weak people and leave the ones left behind to be ruled by him. Sakura on the other hand is primed to birth Angra Mainyu back into the world, and he will kill *all* of humanity and leave nothing behind
@@Lazy-May Shirou and Rider fought Saber together but when Shirou has to deliver the finishing blow he hesitated and lets Saber Alter escape which leads to both Shirou and Rin being absorbed by the shadow

@@MrInuhanyou123 I thought post UBW Shirou HAD "servant abilities"? you do realize that the only unique thing about the servant Emiya is that he has UBW and Mind Eye right? both of which Shirou has, so this isn't a Stheno case or Medusa Lily where their servant versions are a lot stronger by THAT MUCH.
@@Succubus_L0li He may have Archer's memories and (some of) his abilities, but he doesn't have his physical capabilities, which is why he is keeping up with Salter in this fight. He and Kirei were running at like, 80 Kilometers per hour during the forest scene, precisely because Shirou "had" the body of a Heroic Spirit (in the form of the Arm). Even with reinforcement, i doubt UBW Shirou would keep up with an All Out Salter, considering his only fights against Servants in his route were Archer (who wanted to break his spirit more than kill him) and Gilgamesh (who barely tried against him because he was being an arrogant idiot).
@@absolutelynotgriffith1954 speaking of having a servant body, OuS Shirou not sure if he said this word per word but he said that using his own class card over and over has adjusted his body in a way that makes him as durable as a heroic spirit which is why he dont rely on the class card anymore, so OuS Shirou is probably perfect servant body Shirou without the drawbacks of Archer Arm. So this version of Shirou probably can pull it off and finish salter too.
