What does it mean to live? Isn't it strange that we have so little idea! Photographer Bill Wadman and I discuss the photographs of Robert Doisneau, Sir Don McCullin, and Sage Sohier, piecing apart whether our little lives are in fact expansive, and, especially, whether in childhood we have a greater sense of our potential than in our fully-fledged adulthood.
