Got a great question from subscriber Zrbjgc about dual rates and expo- Hope this helps... It was great timing since I just got this Eflite Timber.... To support my channel, check out my Amazon store: www.amazon.com/shop/7demo7?re...
Even though I’m watching your video 4yrs after you posted I want to thank you for explaining very clearly what rates and expo means and how to program in transmitter.
You do a very good job on explaining duel rates and Expo on how it works. Very basic that’s what everybody needs to know. You have done it better than any of the videos that I’ve seen on RU-vid. I’m going to save your video to share with the guys out at the club. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ THANK YOU.
Just got my first programable TX (Specktrum NX8) and want to set rates and expo for my UMC Turbo Timber. This was just the tutorial I was looking for... gave me the info I needed without treating me like a dummy. Thanks.
Possibly one of the best and easiest videos I've watched on RC planes! Only just getting into hobby and keep hearing about High and Low rates but just thought it was SAFE, also great how you showed the voice commands for each switch as I've been trying to set one for my flaps and gear so thank you 👍 I'll defo be subscribing
JEFF, I wanna thank you so much for your video that you've sent me, It's really awesome. That's the first I saw my name in youtube and got me excited. I love your kids man specially your daughter Margo? Thanks also for the special bonus about the sound voice, no wonder why I don't the sound on my radio; I am doing it wrong. God Bless to all, Thanks again.
Glad this helped- I figured you’re not the only one with this question. The rates will help tune on the fly, give you aerobatics with more throw or help with landings with lower throw... voice prompts are great because I forget which direction low and high rates are
@@7demo7review Jeff, I got my Conscendo today and I'm so excited, when I put it all together the wings and everything, but the throttle is not working at all. I've checked all my stick just don't have power at all. My batteries all charged up. I really don't have an idea. Could please help me one more time. Thanks Jeff.
Brilliant video as I am still fairly new to the hobby and duel rates and expo are still a bit of a mystery. However they were really well explained and made things much clearer. Thank you.
newer to the hobby, moving on to a trainer to a new plane and new transmitter.. didnt 100% understand expos and duel rates.. now i do!! great vid thanks
Thanks so much for the positive comments- I need to make more videos like this. I just moved to a FrSky X20s Tandem radio and am loving it. Check them out
@@7demo7review hi Jeff there's to many options......I have a collection of stuff but haven't made a decision as to what is going to be my main go to system..... still trying to understand the various protocols, open Tx mainly.... didn't grow up with PC etc so trying to understand.... My thoughts currently are to head towards radiolink ..... My brain hurts so sitting on the fence...... Hope you and family are well 😉😎
Excellent video ! Very helpful for a beginner. I could actually see what you were doing on the screen . Your explanations were great ! Best I have found . Thank you very much. U have a new sub. Can’t wait to see more of your vids. Your a natural teacher . Keep it up !
Thank you! I thought the curve 0, 1 and 3 was talking about the different types of curves it could make outside the dual rate and exponential numbers, not that those were the names of the different curves themselves that have already been made. I was wondering why it kept changing both switch positions to the exact same curve lol
if I choose to put all my control surfaces rates on a single switch, can I set up my high , med, and low rates and expo on the F- mode setting instead of using the duel rate setting ? ..thanks
Ok, so quick question...i just bought the spektrum dx6e, onve i bind it to my planes, do i have to set it up manually for thebeginner, intermediate and then expert switch ? Or does it automatically do it for me? This transmitter is a bit intimidating at first...lol
Yes you can do rudder. I like to separate the 3 control surfaces but you could add all 3 to one switch. For landings I like elevator in high rates and ailerons on low rates
Yes, sometimes you’ll have a sensitive elevator but not ailerons- you can adjust each individually. For instance on almost all landings I’ll put my ailerons in low rates and my elevator in high rates
