48:00. The reason they didn’t force you to use a specific sinner in the earlier cantos is because newer players aren’t likely to have an ID for every character. Even though base ID’s aren’t unusable, it would be annoying if you were forced to use them since a lot of them aren’t exciting. PM do start to experiment with forcing you to use specific units later on, so I’m curious as to if they’ll continue the trend in canto 6

A little bit unrelated. But Yi Sang being able to name drop himself in his own ego, while still making sense as a sentence, has gotta be the funniest thing to me.

Hong Lu being the one playing Young-Ji is fascinating, yes. No spoilers, since we don't really know much about him yet, but that fact was what made me really start paying attention to him. He doesn't talk much, of course, but... even near the start of this canto, he's the one that calls out Dongrang about whether he planned on using us as meatshields or not, however he did it in his token innocent himbo way. Once you start looking for it, the amount of times Hong Lu will playfully make some innocent remark, that actually nudges our crew in the right direction is staggering. Again, no spoilers, we don't know shit concretely, but many of us in the fanbase are convinced that boy is hiding a nefarious intellect and cunning behind that goofy smile. Also, 3:25 the biggest boon of Ebony Stem is not just the rupture and its passive - it rolls a 29 and it has 5 AoE at uptie 3, and 7 AoE at uptie 4. It's one of the very few EGOs in the game that have that amount of attack weight, so yeah, it's amazing in fights like Dongbaek Spicebush, not that you needed it. And I agree that saving up for Der Shootis might be preferable, just saying why you should be on the lookout for that EGO specifically.

1:08:28 I believe K. Corp Hong Lu (available in the shard shop next season) is the ID you're looking for, he applies rupture, has gluttony, and is also just an incredibly good ID in general, arguably the best tank in the game.

That was quite the spicy fight (Ba-dum-tss~) I did almost scream when Foreman used ego to win a 5-5 skill but thankfully he got two Riposte back to back. Yi Sang winning the duel is always hype.

Hong Lu does in fact have one ID geared towards Rupture. It's a good one too, but that goes without saying with the guy.

So, Seven Association's thing IS rupture. All of their ids inflict it in some capacity.

the spicebush fight took me no joke 7 months because I kept dying and rage quit for a long time. I eventually had to get a friend to do it for me

The person Yi Sang is based on is a prolific korean poet, if I remember correctly. That's why there's so much poetry in Canto IV. Edit: I'd also like to point out how interesting it is that Ishmael is the one who has the line: "Colors establish Identity", considering some of the things we learn about her later. In general that line is actually quite interesting because of how the game already plays with color; Different sets of identities all use the same color palettes, each sinner has a color of their own, and the sins are all color coded. It's something small, but I think the time spent in T-Corp during Heathcliff's chapter will elaborate on this.

Excellent work defeating Dongbaek, Executive Manager! I knew you had it in you! That was honestly really smart, choosing N Corp Faust. Even without RepEmitter or Whistles, you still got her to do her job. That Execution was really nice thinking, worthy of the Seven Association. Captain Ish could've also contributed SP healing with her Skill 3 against those flowers. And might I say, that EGO use at the end was splendid~ Outis boot-licking roleplay aside (tho those compliments are genuine), it's nice to see you pulling through against a tough fight like her. There'll be more to come in the future; I can say at least 1 fight next Canto will have you staggered. Can't wait to see you finish Canto 4, cuz I'll tell you now: even if we're in the final stretch, we haven't reached the Peak just yet~

No ID to review... but I did miss one last time, so. Might as well get on that. Seven Association South Section 6 Ryoshu: A decently alright Ryoshu Identity that focuses on Slash Fragility debuffs and clashes weirdly well for a 00 ID, rolling an 18 and 19 for her S2 and S3 respectively. This leans into her role how the role is encouraged to be played, with it excelling with other Slash-based characters to make use of the honestly rather dumb amount of Slash Fragility she casually dumps onto an enemy the moment she wins a clash with her S3. Heck, even her passive leans into it, just giving 10% more slash damage. A solid Identity all around, with the only real 'weakness' being the admittedly rather disappointing S1 which rolls at the low end of S1s.

Canto 4 is really shmassive, it felt like Dongbaek fight was halfway stop after I finished the dungeon. But the dungeon story was kinda worth it.

So fun little fact about the class 3 K-Corp Staff -- they didn't actually make their debut in this chapter! Their first appearance was actually during Refraction Railway 1, back in the first season, as foreshadowing for their appearance here.

I lost to Spicebush multiple times, not because I was dying or failing the gimmick or anything, but because the game was horribly optimized when Canto IV came out and kept crashing whenever she changed phases

It really probably should be said that the best chance of you getting new IDs and Ego now are almost certainly character specific extractions that cycle, or simply buying them outright. There’s eventually gonna be a point where you’re practically swimming in shards and will regret having not used em

14:34 useful to remember what Sin affinity your sinners EGO's and Defensive def skills has as Ryoshu base EGO is Lust, so it was possible in your team to do the Whistles.

I know you would not wanna breeze past like all the posses is why you dont use support characyers from ur friends list but you could.if you ever wanna taste or test/ play with diffrent setups if you are missing one person (Such as 7 Faust)

I find it hilarious that i absolutely breezed through all of the end fights of this canto with almost no effort…except I got stomped by the super beefed up hp regen guys with glaives lol

Remember to spend your egoshard crates. 1/2 will become threads next season

Just a note about the Zwei in Limbus. There are only 4 Zwei ID's in the game right now and only 2 of them are good. Zwei Faust and Gregor are actually pretty fun tank ID's that support each other well and have decent clashing while Zwei Sinclair and Rodion lack synergy with other zwei ID's and are just generally weak ID's due to their poor supportive capabilities are terrible clashing. Zwei Rodion is the better of the 2 bad zwei units and is actually alright with poise buffs while zwei sinclair is only really used for his support passive in solo play.

Nice job beating spice bush with your own team also my gosh this fight was such a pain at first I thought it was because my phone may have been too old to run limbus but now seeing more people talking about it crashing I see that the fault does not lie with my phone

Back in the day this was the one battle that kicked my ass so bad I have to actually learn game mechanic to get through

K Corp. Class 3 Excision Staff Hong Lu has Rupture and Gluttony!

I think it's kinda funny when actors have to act as bad actors

If we're talking about Gluttony Hong Lu's, i can only recommend 2. Ting Tang Hong Lu, who is literally the definition of High Clash, High Damage, No Utility. He has a gluttony Skill 3 that rolls a 30 (5 Base power + 25 Coin power) and has an Onrush effect if it kills an enemy, (Only triggers once per kill though) along with a gluttony Evade at Uptie 4. Also one of my favorite identities. But what you're probably looking for is K-Corp Hong Lu, who has a Gluttony skill 2, Is actually immortal (He has like 4 health bars in practice, along with getting health regen every bar, it's insane.), and has rupture good rupture, and since he will usually have the most Max HP out of everyone (Since Tank) He will gain massive benefits from Talisman Sinclair's passive. K-Corp is the obvious choice, but Ting Tang is the FUNNY choice that wont screw you over. However, As of writing this, You can't shard K-Corp (on the 28th, you should be able to though.)

About whether theres any known powers that can "reanimate" people, my first thought was actually Elena / Blood Red Night making the dead people she kill as reanimated corpses, or Puppeteer kinda(?) adding parts to existing body to make them come back alive(?). Love town is also questionable. But of course the closest one to this reanimation phenomenon with the golden bough would be Elena with her blood servants, and Pluto being able to use his odd "magic" to reanimate people. Remember the reanimated office worker the rats found while gut harvesting and saying the person shouldnt have even been able to walk, as well as all the reanimated corpse Yuna (the girl from Dawn Office) had to solo in the backstory part for Dawn Office. Yeah those were the ones I could think of!

Whistles and whispers are only even remotely good if you can apply it nearly if not every turn. If you're relying on skill 3s to get it to work with only one possible skill line up then there is genuinely no point lol.
