Yeah, these Abno bosses originally came from this Story Dungeon (some were used in Abnormality Events in the random event spaces in the Mirror Dungeons tho). They were added to the current MD pool of bosses after Mirror of the Lake replaced the previous MD, just as the Mirror of the Whuthering will replace the Mirror of the Lake next season. That being said, they do fit thematically into where they were placed. The Fairy Gentleman was when they were simply enjoying their technologies. Gorging on their beer without a care, sharing it amongst theirselves. So That No One Will Cry and its Talismans can be likened to the Identification Tags. They were made so that no children would cry when they get lost. Sunshower, in my own interpretation, kinda symbolizes the umbrella that is the secrecy and privacy of their league was beginning to leak and gain holes. Lastly, the Centipede can be likened to the Tearful Thing™. In its Abno Event where you gain that Rupture EGO gift, to gain the EGO gift, you need to choose to press a button to shock it, torturing it, in order to gain the Battery gift. Very much like what the Eye was being out through back then in the Screening Room. PS: I believe that line where Dongrang admits to Dongbaek of his betrayal is before the Dungeon, when the space around us was being warped. Dongrang confessed to Dongbaek as she was still clinging to life, and had the Bough resonated with her anger and memories to bring us back into this old flashback she most likely remembered as she died. That moment of betrayal in that League of Nine vs T Corp Collectors confrontation.

R Corp Heathcliff, one of the longstanding best IDs in the game for the simple fact that his S3 dumps 4 fragile on an enemy. A staple in all three Refraction Railways so far. He provides massive damage for any comp, and does lots of damage by his own merits. A lot of power for a release ID!

So for League of Nine context, a lot of the characters here mirror their real-life counterparts in the real life League of Nine. Notably, this was during Japanese occupation of Korea, but a few of the League of Nine turned out to be Japanese sympathizers, while a few others went on to meet tragic fates. Mirroring what the script here is, with a few people arguing for the oppressors, and a few just peacing out and going out to die. Dongrang in particular started off as writing about how the farmers were being oppressed by Japanese rule, but then turned around and became a huge pro-Japanese sympathizer, going from standing from the oppressed to becoming part of the oppressors. One of the best parts of Limbus Company story is how close they tie into their inspirations, but manage to put interesting spins on them.

I just want to mention that, unless mention otherwise, the effects are applied THIS turn. So for example: crow's eye view (yi sang base EGO) applies attack power down THIS turn and haste NEXT turn

note the story takes place BEYOND the outskirts. that means that outside the city's borders the deserted wasteland called the outskirts have an end and there's something even beyond it

Whenever I see drifting fox I can’t help but imagine it being in lobcorp. Just a fox Tokyo drifting around the hallways, running down clerks left and right Also the mirror dungeon only had these bosses after the canto was released. Plus fairy gentleman and talisman doll match with the liberation fronts ego gear, so it makes sense for them to be here. The centipede though? Yeah no idea…

The mirror dungeon is overhauled each season, introducing new content and abnos. The season 3 mirror dungeon, "Mirror of Mirrors", introduced many of the canto 4 abnos, and abnos from Refraction Railway Line 1. The current mirror dungeon, "Mirror of the Lake", added many canto 5 and Refraction Railway line 2 abnos, but they're all in the hard-mode version of the mirror dungeon.

So one thing about the abnormalities and the TLA, is that it’s stated that the TLA EGO is of lower quality than Lob EGO. As an example, Drifting Fox is an HE abno, yet DongBaek was rated as a Teth with its corresponding gear. And fairy gentlemen and so that no one will cry are Teths abnos, yet the corresponding TLA EGO users aren’t even graced with a risk level like DongBaek. And back in lob, all EGO was either on level or above the risk level of the abnormality. And then we have limbus ego that seems fundamentally different in structure than genuine lob ego with risk levels of the same ego being different between users. I think there is potential here, as lob facilities keep getting raided and abnormalities discovered, it may be possible to see many variations of EGO in the setting

I got R Corp Heathcliff early on into playing and on god, he's been _such_ a good unit and so adaptable. He's my emergency button during Mirror Dungeons runs where I get roughed up and his skills also surprisingly help with a *lot* of the event checks. 💙

R Heath has one weakness, and that's his ammo count. But when fights involving him usually end in five turns or less anyway, does that even matter?

R corp Heath is seriously good. One of the best IDs in the game.

The main thing you dont have thats making the fox so difficult is AoE EGOs. Stuff like Outis and Yi Sang's aoe make the fox SIGNIFICANTLY easier by taking out the umbrellas for more or less free

To be fair, all the canto abnos are usually added to the Mirror dungeon roster. Its unfortunate when it spoils stuff, but yeah.

the chance to corrode it shows you is based on the amount of SP they currently have so if they were to gain SP mid turn they'd have a lower chance to corrode so most of the time if they have a 25% chance to corrode you can still use it as long as they win a clash and gain that extra SP or use other EGO like faust's that restore SP if faust would be faster, or any SP healing passives

Each season lasts about three months, Canto 6 was delayed because PM are still getting used to the live-service pipeline and are still somewhat struggling with the permanent upkeep, but they´re getting better and Canto 6 is releasing next Thursday. The frequent content droughts are the main criticism of the game, though we do have things like Events, Mirror Dungeons, and Refraction Railways to spend time on until the next Canto, and with the quality of the content most of us are more than happy to wait. A tip for Drifting Fox: Prioritize the umbrellas above all else, your sinners can take a few hits from the Fox before it becomes dangerous but if the umbrellas stay alive for too long they´ll stack Sinking and Rupture like crazy as you saw and destroying them will also let you deal more damage to the Fox, the Fox will also alternate between attacking thrice with it´s body and once with its head, and thrice with its head and once with its body, indicated by Green and Yellow skills, one does Rupture which you can ignore and the other does Sinking which you should clash whenever able, and out of those you should prioritize breaking the Head once you´ve cleared the umbrellas. After a few turns it also does an AOE which gets stronger and harder to clash against the more umbrellas are still alive when it uses it, but under most circumstances Sinclair´s Base E.G.O and other similarly high rolling E.G.Os Clash high enough to beat it. 1:22:00 It´s not just the shading etc, from what i´ve read they´re using the same kind of SPINE models as Darkest Dungeon, which is another reason they look very similar. Anyway, glad to hear you´re still enjoying yourself and don´t just see this as an obligation Manager Esquire.

Base Hong Lu’s support passive in bench can help mitigate SP drain, as he restores Sanity. I also do believe this boss lineup debuted with this Canto.

Drifting fox is a menace. It's the one abno in canto 4 that always give me trouble. it's ego gift is amazing if you have a bunch of aoe ego ready because that's free +2 power for using a strong attack

Rabbit Heathcliff highest dmg dealer in the game, slayer of all things, enjoyer of combat narcotics. Also combos well with yisang's base ego and G corp outis

It is, in fact, the case that the abnormalities seen here in Canto IV were at the time new to the game. With every Canto comes new abnormalities, and I'm not sure exactly -when-, but they are later added to the Mirror Dungeon. With Canto VI just around the corner, it is very possible you might run into some Canto V abnormalities in the near future, though I hope not, because they're all pretty cool and would love to see some first time reactions. Also, man, I STILL get spooked every time I hear my name in the patreon credits roll lol

In regards to SP recovery you could uptie middle mersault and have him sit on the bench would work very well on your 7 association/rupture team as he heals more sp the more people of the same faction are in battle

15:42 yeah ever since i saw this scenes this is foreshadowing something because for don to be given this part over the big mersault and glasses wearing gregor they have to have something in common personality wise.

In the Railway from last season the first encounter was a very amped up So That No One Will Cry. It was extremely hard to fight it. You were forced to learn its partterns and strategize. I absolutely hated that fight, but it made me gain an appreciation for the abnormality, and also made me think that regular abnormality bosses in the canto dungeons should be harder like that, instead of easy as they currently are.

Late identity review! ...Seriously, I need to get on top of this stuff again. R Corp. 4th Pack Rabbit Heathcliff: An incredibly good pure damage Identity used in all levels of play. The main issue with him is that he clashes... rather poorly, rolling at max a 10 on his S1 and a 12 on his S2 without conditionals. IF he does have those conditionals, however, that immediately changes, turning the originally pretty mediocre S2 to a rather solid 16 rolling S2. This isn't even factoring in his S3, which clashes magnitudes better with the speed conditional at a 23 and also just casually inflicts 4 Fragile, meaning that if R Corp Heathcliff is the fastest member on the team (And quite frankly, he should be, since he gets major benefits from it) your entire team automatically gets a ton of free damage it can deal. The speed range for R Corp Heathcliff is a bit wonky, granted, since he has a speed range from 3-7... but that can be fixed with his Zayin EGO, Bodysack, which just gives him a ton of haste and guarantees that he will fulfil the condition.

Seven Ryoshu truly has the best clashing power of any 00 (if you roll heads).

R corp heathcliff is INSANELY good with bodysack ego altough squishy. I can recommend trying out sunshower heathcliff aswell, hes very fun if not a bit bad.

Hello Foreman. The abnormalities that you fought in this story dungeon actually debuted in this Canto and they were added to the Mirror dungeons as bosses at a later point to add more diversity to the available fight options. There are actually only three abnormalities that debuted in the mirror dungeon, as most of them come from the Railway or Story encounters (Although I won't specify which, since that could be considered spoilers). There is a very high likelihood of you encountering abnormalities from later parts of the story until you catch up, and we would never even get to see you fight the abnormalities that originate from the Mirror dungeon or early railways. I wanted to include this in the previous comment where I requested you record mirror dungeons as an additional reason for you to do so (as well as warn you about the fact the some of the abnormality encounters are spoilers since the first Mirror Dungeon video, but I did not know if that would also constitute spoilers). Also, in regards to my recommendation of Ebony Stem, it is ultimately your choice on what you spend your shards on. Early seven association seems to have more a focus on reducing enemy clash power and inflicting fragility (Yi Sang, Ryoshu, and Outis) where later seven association tend to have more of a focus on larger amounts of rupture application (Heathcliff and Faust). Later Seven IDs will liekly have an even bigger focus on rupture. Seven Outis may not inflict a huge amount of rupture, but the "Stem of Distrust" passive essentially makes here rupture count neutral on heads (although the Pierce up is pretty pointless on her). AEDD Gregor, Dimension shredder Yi Sang, and Dimension shredder Hong Lu are also really good E.G.O for rupture, if you wanted any other advice for rupture E.G.O. However, if you want to save the shards and have them be halved for thread then that is entirely your call (Although I would take into account that you will also get a good amount of resources once the new battle pass comes out, so you should easily have enough resources for MB Outis once the next walpurgisnacht come around). Once again, it is entirely your choice, and you still have until the 27th to get Ebony Stem or anything else for Outis if you decide to change your mind.

R. Corp Heath is great BUT you don't really have to build him yet so focus on what you want for now with your Liu, Seven and BL teams and probably come back to him once you finish the story OR if you want to tackle the endgame content (railway) since that is what he specializes with due to his S3 alone. Also, you really don't need to uptie 4 him, uptie 3 is enough. Surprisingly high strength and value for an ID that was released a year ago. Edit: Don't worry foreman, everyone else thought the fights are a slog in canto 4. Yeah, I'm a victim of that (finishing the recent story addition the day it was released) and while yes it sucks to wait, I have other games to play so I'm not really that bummed about it. Add the fact that while Limbus is a live-service gacha game, PM actually respects the players time and you can take a break from playing the game and not miss much compared to most gacha games where just missing one day puts you at a disadvantage.

Holy fuck my reaction to that start, first seeing the Heath logo and going "oh nice, he got him", and then hearing the "...ganchung, ganchung..." It plagues my nightmares. It won't get out of my head. Wherever I run, I see those words. Ganchung. "So it's probably? good?", He is *the* meta ID. DPS out the ass that allows everyone else to also do DPS out the ass with that 4 fragile. Unimaginable to run railway low turn count runs without him.

You just got your ticket to cruising through the entire canto: +s3 is insane, rolls for 13 at low speed but at 23 for high speed. over 5 coins. with 4 fragile so +40% damage. +speed is readily accessible due to bodysack ego providing +3 haste next turn, so the speed condition is almost non-existent +enemies are pierce weak so +200% damage. +since he becomes the fastest, the 4 fragile spills over to the rest of your team, meaning your whole team attacking after him gets the 40% damage increase. -doesnt do well in long fights, because ammo balances him.

R corp heathcliff is really good, but he struggles in multi wave fights where he can run out of ammo. you can save ammo by using EGO or with uptie 4 passive (I think), but in long story fights or if you're low on ego resources he can struggle to keep up. of course, usually he cuts fights down to where they won't last over 5 turns so 😆

Oh, you missed the days of Refraction Railway 2. I am SICK of that fox, and the talisman abno ain't much better. I actually had to do the entire railway twice because my turn count was bad, so I ended up fighting those two bosses like eight full times at double the HP you fought them at before the end.

Next canto you should use boolet outis along the liu if you have her And you could use grippy Faust along liu as her debuff gaze is really great with liu and lust (n clair not recommend cause you will steamroll the game with him)

Like, she can have a different worldview or do what she wants obviously, but it's her attitude and ow everyone must have the same opinion as her or "you're just wrong". And "don't try to do anything unless you're ready to save everyone"? Really? Nah, I'm sorry, I can't... And I know it's not about choosing a side and it's not like Dongrang is all innocent and noble. But I remember how people easily hopped on Dongbaek's train, because "she's not so bad, she's pitiful", and I still can't understand them...

Bigger question: Why you 100% dungeons? It gives no additional experience or bonuses. It exists just for an illusion of route choice.

yeah, an unfortunate thing with the mirror dungeon is that it spoils a lot of the bosses that haven't been seen yet, even more so if you do the hard mode dungeon. hopefully the next md does a somewhat better job at not handing you spoilers like candy, but oh well. fun fact something similar happened to me with md 1- I was stuck at the beginning of canto 3 and grinding for exp, and got spoiled for the N corp inquisitors as well as some of the dungeon abnormalities.

I can't really tell the reasoning behind making the mirror dungeons and the railways timed events, especially since they are canon and are referenced in the story. New players end up getting spoiled on fights or permanently missing out on content, while also getting the story be dissonant with gameplay. Similar thing with the season pass, I suppose, but that content is still accessible elsewhere. One may argue that the rewards would break the balance, but that could be handled like the Yield My Flesh, Walpurgetschnacht (definitely how you spell it) and Chicken events, yielding great rewards for limited time, but still being playable later. Oh well, I suppose the play hours are better if there is some element of fear of missing out.

Yea this Canto is very bloated, main reason I consider it weaker than Canto 2. Canto 5 does a way better job at balancing combat and story. Also does a better job at including the combat encounters into the story.

It's pretty much your own fault for being 10 months late to the game. Canto 6 is coming this week and I can already see you b*tching about being spoiled and call the game lazy again.

I do not believe we had those bosses in Mirror Dungeons as bosses yet during the chapter's initial release, it might've been with the release of the next Railway or something at the time. Could be wrong though, Canto IV was quite some time ago now. The second iteration of Mirror Dungeon also made Drifting Fox & Shock Centipede absolutely terrifying, the iteration we have now is much more forgiving, going to be sad when we get the next iteration as I enjoy the one we currently have a lot...
