Mark over at Bumble Bee Junction gave me the idea for pickled sausage. He then made a video which peaked my interest even more! So here is us making spicey pickled sausage!!

I'm watching this and it takes me back to when my boys were of similar age, thank you so very much for making this. I lost my youngest son (age 30) four years ago and seeing you interact with your kids really brought back a lot of great memories, Thank you and God bless you and yours.

The best thing about this vid is the munchkins helping and being a part of it. As a 40 yr dad my kids are pretty much grown so we don't get to do stuff like this much anymore. Please carish every second of it! I'm going to try the recipe by the way!

The whitish part of peppers is where the heat is. People say the seeds are hot, they really aren’t it’s like seeds from any fruit the juice coats the seed but once the juice is gone so is the sweet

The heat going into the jar with the lid creates a vacuum so yupp it will seal...thanks for the recipe

Slice your onions from Root to Stem, that way you break a lot less of the Onion's cells, and that way you give off a lot less of the Onions gasses and Liquids.

Heyas Pratt Pack ! Glad you guys liked them... If you want more kick, start with Andouille sausage... Tony Chachere hot sauce will kick it up a notch too... And of course, "Seed In" jalapeno slices add a touch more heat... With are without eggs is certainly up to you... I've just gotten to where I can taste the egg in the sausage, and the sausage in the egg, so we usually make them with the same sauce, but separate jars... You'll just have to weigh that all out for yourselves (and your taste buds... lol)... Thanks so much for the shout ! Always appreciate that ! Hope y'all are well ! Thanks again Pratt Pack ! Enjoy !

Thank Mark. On the Jalapeno's I purposely left out the seeds so we didn't have a lot of heat on that one but got a lot of Jalapeno flavor!! I will definitely be putting seeds in at some point and trying to different sauces and stuff too!! Thanks for the idea!!

They are pre cooked when I bought them. I would NOT do this with raw meat. The kids ALWAYS make the videos MUCH better :)

Have you ever tried green tomatoes and sausages and when you pickle your eggs take a tooth pick and poke holes in the the eggs and the pickling brine will go into the eggs and the tomatoes too

Mark and Tina over at Bumble Bee Junction 🐝 are awesome and share some great recipes from all the stuff they grow! Your kids seem to be excellent taste-testers and it seems that Andrew in particular has a discerning palate - he'd possibly make a good chef! Grace was so funny when you asked if she wanted to cut saying _"yeah"_ in a tone that sounded like _"well, duh!"_ and she's a great helper. Well done on the pickled sausage and thanks for making me hungry! 🌭 🌶

I want some. I don't like spicey hot food at all but wow that does look good. My mind is going toward bread and butter sausage pickles and morrocan spices.... And maybe homemade sausage... Thanks Mike for the idea. By the way any tricks on putting more hours in a day to try all these experiments? Lol
