The MCU is starting to feel like literal comics being brought to a new medium, and it makes me really happy. Before Endgame, the MCU films just felt like action movies starring known superheroes. I think this is because they aren't building up to a single conclusive story, instead they're building up several large stories at the same time which allows them each more creative freedom. I personally love the fact that Marvel had the guts to make a movie about the Eternals, because it tells me that they're becoming more confident with their work.

Yeah, the Sandman one is pretty clear, he wants the "box" back so he can hit the button...the other villains want the "box" back so they can destroy it or at least store it somewhere the button can't be hit so they don't get sent him to die.

I don't think he resisted because of the multiverse connection. I think his spider sense works the same as Andrew Garfield's did in ASM1. It compels his reflexes whether he wants it to or not, so being out of his own body doesn't make a difference. The last thing his body was doing was protecting the box. His reflexes are powerful enough to play keep away

People dont realize that Peter kept upgrading his web fluid. In Homecoming, it was v3.0. He could've kept ugrading it after that

It's totally possible that Strange only thought of the box after sending Peter to go catch some villains. He says something to the effect of having to figure out a fix before Wong finds out.

The sheer impact NWH left on people is enough to override plot hole concerns. Even moreso than Avengers Endgame honestly. The movie was just phenomenal.

My biggest issue with the movie is just Peter: MAKE EVERYONE FORGET I'M SPIDERMAN Strange: ITS TOO LATE, THEYRE HERE Peter: MAKE EVERYONE FORGET ME Strange: OKAY that just does not make sense why one spell is possible but the other isn't. Especially since the seemingly more powerful spell would be erasing peter from existence, not just erasing the Peter/Spiderman relationship. loved it otherwise.

I used to think the time travel resolutions to problems usually created more logic issues and raised more questions than were ever answered. Now we have Dr. Strange and his "forgetting spells" to totally blow all that out of the water...

Question: When Peter first visited Strange, if Peter actually properly formed how he wanted the spell to work before Strange started casting it (if he clarified that he wanted Ned, MJ, Happy, and May to still remember him), would it have worked better in that case? Strange was able to make edits to the spell so that MJ and Ned could remember him, but the more Peter requested changes mid-casting, the more the spell got out of hand. If he clarified who he wanted to still remember him before Strange casted the spell, would the events of No Way Home have never happened in that case?

My biggest problem is that Peter and Stephen are two very smart people in the MCU. The whole movie could have been avoided by them talking for 15 minutes about if Peter wants everyone who he is not attached to forget and allow people like Aunt May, MJ, Ned, etc. to remember. Dr. Strange was a world class surgeon and the only one to find a path to defeating Thanos. While Peter is brilliant enough to be Spiderman and also be a highschool student who was potentially going to Harvard. It seems too convenient that they could not have spent the time to talk about how the scenario played out. I loved the movie but both of these characters have been through a lot. Dr. Strange returned after being snapped away knowing that his gambit payed off to beat Thanos and Peter also returned to a different world from the one he left. Also Dr Strange had experience with the Time Stone and knows that time is relative. AKA if he is going to cast a spell that changes a planet's perspective about Spiderman then it is worth a bit of conversation about how it will play out and to make sure that Peter gets what he asked for without breaking everything.

But Dr. Strangers spell HAD to effect other people in other realities because that was the whole point right? The gateway was only open to people who know Peter Parker was spiderman in other realities and erasing their memories means that no one would be able to go through that portal into the MCU…. Thoughts?

For the green goblin identity thing, I assumed that after the body of the green goblin was recovered from the scene, the autopsy would have identified the body as Norman's. Since Ock is introduced to us after this, it would be safe to assume that he knew this because it would probably have made the mainstream news, given Osbornes notoriety.

Pretty sure Doc Ock could figure out on his own that Norman was the Green Goblin. It was Oscorp tech the Goblin was using after all.

Quentin's real name also wasn't actually Quentin. He specifically says, "Gutermann, your story about an inter-dimensional soldier named Quentin..." implying that his name was part of the story.

Couldn’t any of the Avengers just back up Peter and tell everybody he’s chill. Also couldn’t Peter just use Edith to produce an illusion of Quentin Beck saying he lied or something?

It would make so much sense if EDITH still worked on Peter.. it would use a retinal scan to identify Peter Parker. and that would mean Peter could find a way to delete all traces of himself. So now the footage and pictures are erased AND people have no memory of them. So Peter keeps his identity but no one remembers who he is. And Peter just decides to never use EDITH again.

It takes place in November/December time for the most part. The movie starts in the summer, the trial is over the rest of the summer ending right before the beginning of senior year. Peter MJ and Ned go through their rejection letters from let’s say Sep-November. The Halloween decorations were still up possibly weeks after Halloween because the donut shop owner was complaining why they were still up. When dr strange pushes peter through the mirror dimension they go through a store that is playing Christmas music which in the US could be ranging from Nov-Dec. and finally the movie ends around actual Christmas time

I think I know what's going on between Vulture and Morbius. One of Morbius' powers is to feed off people to regenerate his body, and in the comics one of Vulture's powers is to drain people's life force to make himself temporarily younger. So what if Toomes somehow figures out what Morbius' experiment was, tweaks it to only drain people and then uses it on himself to drain people of their life force? Then we'd end up with a Vulture that can make himself young again as the perfect disguise for escaping his tech heists. Not only that, he may not remember who Spider-man is, but he's going to remember that he's a young man from his encounters, maybe befriend him and gain his trust as someone around his same age (possibly pretending to also be a young superhero) and then learn his identity all over again (or just backstab him, whatever).

In regards to making Thanos forget, the spell only makes him forget once. It doesn't make him unable to know about the stones, so any of his hench-children could've told him about the stones and he could pick up the hunt right away. Peter was going to do just this to Ned and MJ at the end of the movie, for example. Edit to Add: The Celestials are 4th+ dimensional beings and would have completely different physics that wouldn't interact with our 3rd dimensional world. I.e., you couldn't reasonably expect gravity to work the same if you were able to go down into the 2nd dimension.

90% of these questions were legit answered in lines of dialog in the movie. Did these people not watch the movie?

I'd Strange can make people forget a party ar Kamar Taj, I assume he could of made people not forget about Mysterio, but forget about his death. I don't think he would of had to take someone's hair for that, especially not the Kamar Taj's hair 😅

But WAIT!: How do the two Venom post credit scenes (from NWH and V:LTBC) fit into the "no way home" timeline? Venom is being drawn into the MCU (by Dr. Stranges botched spell) and AFTER that he sees the JJJ breaking news about the Spider Man / PP reveal. BUT Strange only performes that spell AFTER JJJ revealed Peters identity. So when does the spell happen and when the reveal?! Did Venom even get there by Stranges spell at all?

To me people not remembering Peter is like the cops not recognizing Westview. People could be staring right at Peter's birth certificate & be like nope... dunno what you're talking about

I don't think Dr strange is actually making people forget instead he's traveling to another universe. What was said during the spell was like a search engine. So each time he changed it he was searching through the multiverse and connecting to different universes. Like it's been said before you can't change history, in trying you create a branch in the timeline.

Dr strange couldn’t get thanos to forget about the stones cus he needs one of his hairs. Last I checked he was bald. Or you could say he needs any piece of dna but hair is just easier to get but things like blood would still work. But still if was difficult for Tony to make thanos bleed so it would’ve been pretty difficult to get pretty much any dna from him

There was a part where Peter was discussing with MJ about how very popular he'd become due to his unmasking, and yet he was so broke. Don't you think it's he shouldn't have been broke especially as he's connected to Happy, a rich executive at the Stark company, and he's dating aunt May. So Peter shouldn't be broke.

Regarding the time of the year during which the movie takes place, I think this bit of information about the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree on wikipedia explains everything: "The tree is put in place in mid November and lit in a public ceremony on the Wednesday evening following Thanksgiving." The end of the movie probably takes place before Hawkeye.

In the comics the forgetting Spell works as such: Peter Parker's identity can not be learned through alternative means such as an stalking him, seeing it in a photo by accident, or recording him from a secret location. You can only find out that Peter is Spider-Man if he willingly unmasks and tells you, all memories of Peter as Spider-Man are either erased or his face is blurred/replaced with a random guy. When Peter reveals said Identity all of those erased or blurred memories are remembered and unblurred/unrandomguyed. This includes Photos, and Videos. If it is linked to Peter Parker being Spider-Man then you can not view it as Peter Parker. He has to willingly reveal it to you, If in the MCU the spell works as such, then if Peter showed a guy his I.D. he would not remember Peter as Spider-Man, He simply knows who Peter is now, Peter must say "Hey, I am Spider-Man"

Plus, you can see a Christmas tree in the mall when Strange and Spider-Man fight in the mirror dimension

Remember everybody... when a character makes a bad decision, it's not a plot hole. Characters making be decisions is how plots are made.

This phase of the MCU seems like it's producing cool one-off movies; but they don't seem cohesive (yet) like the first few phases of the MCU. I'm hoping they don't sloppily tie them together down the road and they actually build them together organically before the next major "Thanos-level" threat.

Strange send Peter to capture the villans before finding out the box solution. He said: "I don't know how many of these visitors we got" and then: "Why don't you start with him, I need you to capture then, bring then here, while I figure out an way to send then back". He assumed it would be better to capture than, but did not had found a solution yet.

I feel like the gravity problem is probably as simple as, he as a Celestial, can just make it not happen. Im sure he could give himself full anti grav or something. It is hinted that he wants life to thrive, so it would be weird if he didn't have something to counteract it. Also he knew exactly what happened and wants to judge earth to see if the sacrifice was worth it, and instantly destroying earth with his presence isn't being much of a judge lol.

What if Peter's last wish to dr strange was to make everyone forget about spiderman instead of peter parker coz it would have made things easier. The clip and articles related to spiderman including the mysterio one would get wiped out of existence. The only thing is that everyone would forget about his contribution in saving the universe. That's it! Now whenever they see spiderman they would think of him as a new vigilante trying to fight crime. You can't say this one is similar to the first one bcoz in that spell everyone would remember both spiderman and peter, they would just forget the connection between them. I think this is perfect tell me your thoughts on it.

I still don't like how Doctor Strange was so quick to cast that spell, after the events of Endgame, after Wong's words. It made his character growth in the first movie just wasted, and this problem goes into Multiverse of Madness. He did not feel in control of his own movie, he was just participating in events.

Here's my one curiosity.. when the 3 Peter's are discussing on how to cure their respective villians, Tobey mentions that he has been thinking a long time on how to cure Norman.. in SM1, from the time Norman became the Goblin to his death couldn't have been more than a month (I'm guessing) and he didn't know his identity until before his death.. what amount of time could he have spent finding a cure if the Goblin was dead? There would've been no need for one in that sense.

So everyone forgot about Peter Parker but what about all of the videos of them reporting that spiderman is peter Parker along with the pictures, merch & flyers that were posted all over the city. I don't think Jonah Jameson would ignore all of that. Peter's face is still out there

Question: If the villains had to be near the device to go back to their realities (hence, making Peter catch them all), how did Venom/Eddy Brock return to their reality?

Vision is sentient, so he was probably affected (unless they want a loop hole for him to interact with the Avengers), but Edith probably isn't as advanced, so is still machine enough to not be affected. Forget the gravity of the Celestial (it can probably take care of that), Tiamut ripping through the crust like that should have had major consequences for the earth

at 12:12 you said that the dude at damage control didnt know that a skrull was filling in for Fury. That's incorrect. It is more likely that the damage control dude was informed of Fury being impersonated since he knew of his true whereabouts (that he is off world), whereas Peter was the one who didn't know Fury was being impersonated by a skrull as Perer thought Fury was still around from the events of Far From Home.
