Don't know about unusual places but breathing/pranayama you can do really anywhere. I will teach this tomorrow in class, really nice practice and very suitable for many kinds of bodies. Thank you Andrew. We have autumn now and sea is getting colder 10-12 celsius so swimming is starting to get so effective😂🤭 it is a battle every time to dive in and every time you get great reward-feeling newborn👍👍💫
I agree! Pranayama and meditation are think you can do anytime, anywhere. So many times on bus rides I've found myself doing sama vritti, the square breath, or just observing my breath. I'm happy to hear that this practice has inspired you to pass on to your students. It was actually the first warm up sequence I received in my first TTC, many years ago. And is probably the sequence I've practiced more than anything else. Because even on days when I don't feel like, or don't have time to practice, I often take 10min just to do these movements and find it helps so much. When you talk about swimming in the cold water I get so excited to get to Canada an start to work with this element. I've been doing the Wim Hof practices for some time now, but there's really no way to experience cold where we are, outside of filling a bathtub with ice. So to get to an actual winter and face this challenge is super exciting :D Thank you for sharing Erika! You've given me even more motivation 🙏💕
@@RefeelYoga I felt your Canada/cold/swimming energies when I wrote about it🤩. It is great, and we have sauna here so it always combination refreshing newborn and sweet warm steamy comfort. If you ever find yourself in Finland you must try that!! I am happy to be your inspiration as you're (and Clelia) mine💫💫🙏🙏
Hi🙋, I like practicing yoga in the car waiting for the traffic light, in front of the railway crossing gate. I am very 😀 happy about integrating the joints in this sequence. Thank you once again 🙏
@@sobesu1589 Hey hey! Traffic is an excellent place to practice Yoga! What an easy place it can be to get lost in thoughts or distractions. Great work Sonja!
I discovered your channel in 2021 and have most likely done this spinal practice 100 times. Thank you very much for creating this video!! Your work has increased the quality of my life, and I am very grateful for that!!
That's awesome brother! I'm so happy to hear it! The funny thing is, this is also my most go-to practice as well. It's so easy to warm up the spine without needing anything. I'm glad you're enjoying and I'm very grateful to have been able to share in your practice for the last three years 🙏
Today I went to the rock farm to help my aunt build a fountain. A 50 year old guy named Larry was driving the big loader, and we got to talking about lifting heavy things. He mentioned how his back is messed up and I told him how I've fixed mine at age 35. He stopped and looked and me and demanded "HOW?" The first thing I recommended was yoga, and he said he'd kinda heard of it. He then told me this lockdown has propelled him to lose 80 pounds in a year and he's feeling better than ever and looking for the next stage. It was incredibly rewarding to leave a seed with Larry today and help brighten the world a little bit. Namaste.
Amazing brother! Thank you for sharing this beautiful story. And thank you so much for shining the light onwards! This is what it's all about. Sharing what we can to benefit the world around us. I'm so happy that the Yogic path has served you and now you are serving the Yogic path 🙏💞
Loved this gentle practice. It's perfect for me that I have bad posture, to expand the chest and be aware of my imbalances.. Definitely one of my favorite one! I'll add it to my routine. Thank you so much Andrew! 🙏😊
That's wonderful to hear! This is my favorite practice too! It can be done anywhere at any time. I think of all the different practices I have done in my life, this one has been repeated the most consistently 💞
Andrew is so calming. And I am so stiff! HA-ha. Seriously though, the fact that these kriyas were tougher than I would have thought is not on Andrew, because, of all my teachers past, Andrew always elicits trust and willingness for me to push myself. His mannerof teaching is from the heart. And it shows in every single one of his practices. That is why I joined his patreon. And that is why I share my experiences here.
Awww Marie! Thank you so much! You're so kind 😍 I'm so grateful to have you here and to be able to share these wonderful teachings and practices with you 🙏💞
This is my go-to daily practice. If I have time or space for nothing else, this is key to maintain mobility and keeping the spine and nervous system happy 💗
Namaste, Andrew! Whoa, such a huge difference at 20:38 when we compare the left side with the right, it's remarkable. I love your practices deeply and am extremely grateful to have discovered your channel.
You're welcome Ana! This is one I do whenever I don't have much time, or don't really feel like doing a practice. It's super easy and always seems to make the day better! 🙏💖
I spent most of my day hovering over my computer working on RU-vid videos ... I was getting ready to skip my practice when I saw this ! It was just perfect! Thank you !
I would like to practice in the park or on the beach but not done that yet! Perhaps I will start off just in my garden. Thank you that was a very relaxing and energising series.
Yes! Do it! Practicing in nature brings so much more relaxation, peacefulness, prana... I strongly encourage you, if you have a garden, to do your practice there. It's a great way to share some love with your plants too 😉 Thanks again for your support Amrita! I'm glad you're enjoying 🙏💕
So happy that you enjoy! I've done this sequence probably more than any other sequence. It's been in my back pocket for years and I do it most mornings that I don't have time for a bigger practice. Glad you're benefitting from it as well brother 🙏💖
I'm glad you enjoyed! This is a practice that I have done for years. It's been the greatest tool whenever I don't have time for a long practice, or if I don't have a good space or my yoga mat with me. Keep it in your back pocket. You can pull it out any time and feel great ;)
Wonderful way to start my day!!! writing and pcs strenght our body and nervous system quite enough!! lovely Andrew, thank you. Maybe the next step is focus on our neck -maybe you can suggest other video. Thank you and all the best for both of you in Canada.
Thank you María! It's been an interesting time for us integrating to life in Canada ❄ I'm very glad that you have enjoyed this practice! It's a beautiful one that you can really do anywhere 💕 As for the neck, it's a bit of a trickier place to work. So far I only have one video that focuses on this area, which is my Vishuddha Chakra Initiation class, that is available to our Refeel Yogi members and supports on Patreon. I have an idea for another program that would strengthen the neck...but with all the things on the schedule it probably won't be released till February 😅
@@RefeelYoga thank you for your answer! We are on Patreon as well so we will take a look there and check Vishuddha Chakras opening . All the best, from Argentina 🇦🇷 your followers Eric and I
That felt so good! Thank you!!! :) I read somewhere that you were an adept of nutrition. I would be interested in a video on that subject! I don’t know if you were planing on doing one on this? Have a great day!
Thank you Karine! I'm glad you enjoyed the practice 🙏😊 And yes, especially earlier in my journey, I spent lots of time studying various systems of nutrition and used to speak about it...excessively?😅 But in recent years it's become such a sensitive topic that now diet is usually something I reserve to discuss in private. We are, however, planning to release a few videos where we speak about diet and a holistic approach to health and healing. It's always just a matter of waiting for the stars to allign in the right way that we both feel inspired enough. Thank you for the suggestion and your vote of confidence! We do want to expand the channel beyond just practical yoga, and reading a comment like this helps to encourage us. So really, thank you Karine 🙏🏼💕
If you have some issue with your neck, listen to your doctor. Though - you've just reminded me - I remember being told the same thing as a kid, that rolling the neck all the way around was dangerous to do 🤔 I've been rolling my neck almost daily for 10 years now, and I've taught countless others to do the same... I think it's not as "dangerous" as I want told as a child 🤣
Hey Andrew! So I’m studying astrology now, and I’ve learned my nervous system/ dna has been altered due to my mom carrying me in this unstable state- this will help repair my nervous system correct? Thanks man!!!
No worries Jocelyn! All Yogic practices, in time have an effect to strengthen the nervous system and to alter and repair the DNA. Astrology only gives us tendencies and probabilities, the karma that we are born into. But Yoga is the practice of resolving our tendencies and changing our karma. Nothing is written in stone and everything can be changed with time and dedication 🥰 And yes, this is a great and gentle practice to take care of the nervous system daily.
namaste Andrew! i was just wondering, when we usually begin with the right hand side, why is it we start with the left wrist and ankle in this, and also with knees and hips in your pavanamuktasana? thank you for all you do!
Hey Marcus, some actions I teach in a certain way out of habit, because it's how I learned the in my teacher training many years ago. In general, following the tradition of Hatha Yoga, it is ideal to work first on the receptive side, to cultivate energy, then work on the emissive side, to move and distribute the energy. It can be a bit difficult to identify which side is receptive though. For example, the left side generally is correlated with Ida Nadi, the receptive energy channel. So when work with the left side of the body in many Asana, we are working on receptive side. However in a twist, to stimulate Ida Nadi, we want to twist to the right side. So it is not always as clear as "start with left". Ultimately, as long as you are doing the same on both sides, it will still be creating balance and, therefore, proper Hatha Yoga ;)
This is actually a series that I received in my very first Yoga Teacher Training Course, about 9 years ago, and it's one that I've used almost daily since then. And no, it has no connecting either with Yogi Bhajan or Kriya Yoga.
Hey there! So I have another question - I have “anterior pelvic tilt” my mind isn’t mainstream it’s more esoteric minded- I feel as though to ask , participating daily in spinal cord hygiene- could this naturally from devotion and practice naturally unclog my stored energy and Rex enter my hips naturally? Thanks much brother
Sorry dear, I'm not 100% certain what you're asking here. I think maybe there is a typo that is blocking me from receiving what you are asking. Could you please rephrase your question so I can do my best to support you? 🙏
Love from mumbai Can u pls do a video on how to do shakti chalan.kriya? And i would recommend u to enroll for inner engineering offered by sadguru the shambhavi mudra transmission is on another level I was screaming crying laughing! Just give it a try
Shakti Chalana is a very advanced and secretive technique, not one that is meant to be shared publicly. We teach it in some of our live retreats and may offer it in the highest level of our online course, Journey Through the Chakras. But it is not something we will release to the general public on RU-vid, sorry brother. I did participate in Sadhguru's inner engineering a couple years ago now. It was a nice program. I'm glad to hear that you had such a beautiful experience with it.
Hey Jocelyn! In fact, this September we will be releasing a full workshop on how to work with all aspects of the Chakras.... something to look forward to 😉❤️🙏🏻
